Kristen nodded at Raine's words, barely catching them. The initial awe of the city had ended and now she was just wondering if they had any clue where they were going.

"Actually I have no money." Durithill admitted with a slightly embarrased laugh. "I was planning to work for our board, and where better than with the rich."

Kristen raised her eyebrows at Durithill, "That's not neccesary." She put in Durithill's hands a big velvet bag filled with gold coins. "Do you think that would cover it? Its all the money I've ever collected, in my life," She shrugged her shoulders and smiled.

"I'd think you have more, of you were a decendant of the Komsarunaku family." Durithill said, but he said it so quietly only she could hear. "But it's not neccesary. You may need it for something else later." he said aloud, giving her back the bag.

Kristen shook her head and then put the bag back in Durithill's hand and made him close his hands over it. She laughed a little at Durithill's comment and added so he would only hear, "But I'm a girl, remember?" Then out loud she said, "If I need money later I'll work for it. I don't want anything to do with my family ever again. So there is no way I'm keeping that money."

"Even girls are usually paid then this." Durithill said. He put his hand inside his cloak, put did not pocket the money. Instead he dropped it when taking a step so that it slid down his leg and silently landed on the walkway. "And if I even need money, I work for it. I never take donations." he said with a half smile. His eyes, however, said he was completely serious and did not appreciate the offer.

"Who said that was a donation. That was my portion for the food, lodging, and all the trouble I've put you guys through." Kristen picked up the bag of money. "Fine, I guess I'll work then too."

"Do as you wish, I can't stop you." Durthill said with a shrug. After a while it was noticable that they were leaving the richest buildings behind, but it still appeared as if each inhabitant of these buildings were rich enough to own a slave. Infact, several slaves were outside doing gardening work.

Working? Would they have to work for food and lodging? She looked around, staring the many slaves working infront of the houses. She swallowed, turning her head away and to the ground. Robin had never seen slaves before, and the sight shocked her. Would they be working like these people? She didn't have any money on her and it seemed that Kristen was the only one with any money.

Durithill stopped suddenly between two houses. His face looked slightly troubled as he looked up at one of them. "Why would they be here?" he asked himself quietly as he pondered his own question. He turned to look around, apparently checking to see if any of the elves around had noticed what he had. They didn't apparently, and he turned back to look at the mansion, which looked just like the others.

Raine rubbed the bridge of her nose with her thumb and her index finger. "You are both concerned over currancy?" She said aloud in a slightly irritated voice. Her brows seemed to furrow in frustration as the chatter between the two consisted. She heard a low mumbling from Durithill, though she pushed the matter aside. She was debating wether or not she should offer to pay for room and board. Knowing Duirthill and seeing what he had just gone through with Kristen, it was hard to say if he would actually accept the cash Raine was willing to give to him. By her tone, it was obvious she wouldn't take no for an answer... "Look, I'll pay for it. There is no need for anyone to go out of their way and work for a night's stay in an inn."

"Alright, alright..." said Durithill, but it was obvious he wasn't really paying attention. "Whatever you say..." he muttered.

Lifting her head from her silent cursing, Raine rose a brow and took a few steps over to Durithill. Stopping behind him and resting her chin on his shoulder, Shiero stared ahead of him, to wherever her eyelevel met before shifting her gaze up at him. "...Now.. what ever is it that you're looking at?" The council member questioned him, her tone being in great curiosity. There was no way he would agree that easily with anyone.. not even her. He was... far too stubborn.

"Hm?" Durithill said, turning to look at her as he felt her head on his shoulder. "It's strange..." he said, turning back to look at the mansion. "I feel a demonic presence..." he said, quietly this time so that it was even hard for her to hear. "It caught my attention a while ago, which is why I led us here, but... It's stronger than I thought it would be..."

"Ah.. so that's what I was feeling.." Raine said lowly, blinking slightly. it was obvious she had pushed the feeling aside, thinking nothing of it. "I would ask if you wanted to go find out what it was... but then again, it would be.. kinda odd busting into someone's home now wouldn't it?" She said in a quite whisper with a smile. "We can wait out here if you'd like.."
