Alex looks to Warren and then Alys, chuckling softly. "If you were fine, you wouldn't be having tentacles on your stomach. You're not fine, you're sloshed, and I'm not gunna even comment on what'll happen when that alcohol and fish you had earlier decides to revisit ya..."
He looked back from Alys to Warren, then down at his tail and then back. "Heh, wouldn't know about that. Feathers don't exactly move, although trying to get them to lay in a direction is really hard. I'm sure you'll get used to it..."

Warren nodded to Alex "you're probably right, will take some time to get used to it, and guess it has a little bit of an advantage over feathers, although you would know where you're were all the time, I have to watch myself when i sit down" Warren looked to Alys who had gotten a little quiet "I agree, you are Sloshed as Alex put so well"

Alys's head lolled from one side to the other, she rose a brow to Alex a moment, "I'm f-fine, honest." She glanced at Warren's tale, and gave a half-hearted smirk.
"You'll get used to it... same wiff these," She rose the infamous tentacles.
Hang on, why was it STILL hot? This couldn't be right, right? It felt like the fire was right on top of her. She raised a hand to wipe off a bead of sweat.
"Okay maybe I am drunk. But I... uh... Forgot what I was going to say," She gave a chuckle.

Alex nodded to Warren. "Yeah I guess that makes sense, until I get a lot of tailfeathers o' somethin'." He smirked as he looked back to Alys. "You're not fine, you. Its a good thing the duplexes aren't too far along, because I don't think they've got cabs around these parts."
He looked over to Warren and shook his head, "Think we should help escort her back to her duplex? Last thing we need is a very plastered squid getting lost around here..."

"Bu' I swear I'm fine!" She protested, "Look, I'll prove it!"
She went to stand, and stumbled. Another try and all her arms reached out to balance her as she stood. She gave an accomplished grin to Alex, and stuck her tongue out for what could have been the millionth time.
"See? I'm fine! I can stand. Now give me a hug, you birdy you!" She reached forward.

Alex chuckled and moved over to hug her to keep her from falling flat on her face than any other reason. "Ok, lets get you home before the security guards at the labs try to make you walk a white line on the side of the road."
He still chuckled as he looked back towards Warren. "Make a note that octopus types can't hold their liquor." It wasn't like he was too much better, even as he wobbled a bit, but he was a lot better off than Alys it seemed.

"Like you can talk, you're all over the place. All wobbley and... wobbley," She poked his nose with a tentacle, the others limp and dangling at her sides. She didn't think the reason he was a little off-balance was because she was leaning on him.
"Think I could walk a white line on the road if I tried hard enough... I think... I think it's too hot here..." She visibly winced.
Too. Hot.

He chuckled a bit as he got poked. "Sure...", he said, although he raised an eyebrow about being hot. He hadn't noticed it being hot, and he was wearing his leather coat of all things. If anything, it should have been pretty cool.
"Uh, Alys... are you feeling? Maybe you should sit down." Yeah, he doesn't want to have her get sick on his coat, since he figured maybe that was all she was having issues with. It had to be, right?

--Nicholas 75%-- 3nodding
Nick was strolling along to edge of the forest where it met the beach, he didn’t often venture this far from the village, but he quite liked the night now, since his new cat sight was terrible during daylight.
He spotted the fire off in the distance. ”People…” He headed over towards it, he’d been cooped up in his Duplex for so long, he could use some company.
“Er..H-hi” he said, quite sheepishly to the nearest unfamiliar face, he also sort of leaned back as he finished his greeting, as if he was ready to sprint of at the slightest sign of danger. “Is…s-something wrong with…” he paused to examine to examine the figure, the light from the fire blurring his sight “something wrong with h-her?”

Alys gripped at Alex's arm, at her chest. Her skin was burning. She winced again, her eyes were burning, her hands were burning, her legs, her face, everything was on fire.
"No..." She managed, and grunted, her knees giving way from under her. Not again, please not again.
"Ch... Not again... Ungh!" She clenched her eyes shut as she felt the farmilliar pain, of her flesh stretching and pushing outward, another set of tentacles making their way into the world. Her skin started darkening, all over. Dark red quickly covering her body.
She let go of Alex, choosing to try and walk on her own. Away from them. They couldn't see this. No, they mustn't see.

Ok, so she wasn't gunna be sick, it was worst. "Ai-yah. Tyen-ah...", he muttered, before he fell back as Alys let go of him. Luckily for him he only was falling back into the sand so it wasn't really painful.
He looked over to Nick as he was approached, and his question. "I... I think she's changing... Alys..." The poor guy probably shouldn't have had quite so much to drink, as it took him a bit longer than usual to get himself back up onto his feet.

“C-changing!?” he winched at the sound of that word; in any context it was used. He could barely put up with his own changes, let alone someone else’s. He couched down, and pressed his ears down with his paws, trying to block out everything that was going on.
“Don’t look, don’t look”

She kept moving, stumbling and almost constantly. But she needed to at least get out of the light. She tried not to scream, tried not to cry. She merely managed to tone it down to whimpers as she tripped over the log, rolling on the ground and clenching her torsoe.
She could feel her limbs elongating, her fingers cripple, melt together like plastic. She could feel the bones melt away. She could feel her arms turn into another pair of tentacles. She could feel... Slime... The newest tentacles, the arm-tentacles that a squid normally has, were leeking a fluid. It looked like mucus, and there were specs of glowing blue dots. Her mucus glands were taking in a breath of life.
She could feel strands of hair grow weak and break, sections of her hair now shorter, her hairline recede. Her eyes stung like acid as the iris in her left eyes completely changed, red. Her other eye seemed to remain the same.
The last things, her teeth. Her front teeth pushed outward slightly, morphing into a point at the end, and her legs ached as the bones lost strength, and changed even more. Her toes melting together and suckers growing at the ends. She was forced onto her side as her back felt like a dagger had pierced it. Two, small, delicate pieces of flesh began growing, turning the same dark red. They stopped once they were about two inches long.
She breathed deeply, her eyes clenched shut. Was it over?
Please let it be over...

Well, Alex got back up onto his feet just for long enough to see Alys changing. He looked over at Nick, as he seemed to be freaking out just find on his own when he mentioned the word 'changing'. He turned his attention back over towards the sounds of whimpering, and walked over slowly, not sure if he really wanted to see.
"Al... Alys?", he said quietly, as his mind tried to take in what he'd just witnessed.

“Er…s-she’s alright...right?” he said just loud enough to be heard as he peered over out of the corner of his eye to Alex’s back. For now he dared not look at girl. He shuffled himself closer of the fire, and nestled himself down on he stomach, trying to make himself comfortable.
