Kugen sighed and continued walking toward the gate, trying his best not to show how much stress it put on his body just to walk. "Fine, whatever..." He said walking past one of the bodies and glancing to see if he recognized the face at all. He hadn't had much time to observe anything in the heat of battle, but he was almost positive that he'd never seen them before. Sure enough, they were just some scouts who had been lucky enough to find out about the large sum of money on his head...although, this was a pretty amazing feet considering that all records showed that he had died when he was eight, at least under his original family name.

((horse back ride anyone? biggrin )) "You know, one of the signs of maturity is recognizing when you need help and asking for it." Arashi said, noticing the trembling in Kugens legs and how much chakra she had given him.

Kugen glanced back at Arashi-sensei, wishing that she'd go take care of more official matters rather than bother him. "I thought we were done with the life lessons for one day." He said as he passed the training ground gates and headed toward the village.
((horse back riding!? whee ))

Arashi sighed and seemed to disappeared form sight. If kugen wanted to be a hard a** she would let him for the moment. Quickly writing a message she attached it to the leg of a small bird she removed from a cage she kept in one of her pockets and freed it. It would go straight to the dark forces while she fallowed her student, without letting him know she was.

Kugen stopped and looked back to where Arashi had been before continuing toward the village. "Why did I have to get the crazy one...? We didn't even train today..." He muttered under his breath and stopping when he finished his sentence. He suddenly changed his course and took off in the direction of a secluded training ground that he often used.
The training ground consisted of a few stumps used for training and various targets located near a river. He didn't think he should use any chakra so soon, so instead he went at one of the stumps with all the taijutsu he could find. He trained every day and an assassination attempt was no excuse...at least not in his book.

((sorry i meant horsy back, like piggy back))
Arashi was not pleased to see Kugen enter a training ground but kept her distance. It was time for more observation not interference, that would come latter.
"Soyokazi, we need to speak.” Arashi was not startled when the dark forces officer appeared behind her, only displeased when he used her proper name.
“I do not know why they attacked and as you can see my student is fine. I was merely concerned he might have been the target and fallowed him. After further reflection though I believe they meant to use him to cow me into submission. As for not leaving any alive for questioning, its your job to keep them out of the village in the first place so do not bring up dereliction of duty. My student was in danger and in such circumstances his safety was my first priority.” Arashi spoke tersely but did not cross into outright insubordination.
“Always a ready answer, you haven’t changed a bit gaki.” The dark force officer said the nick name like it was a curse.
“Nor have your manners improved.” He added harshly then disappeared, having collected her official statement.
Arshi looked like she could chew iron and spit nails as she looked where the officer had once stood. With an irritated sigh she turned back to keep an eye on Kugen. They always sent the same person to see her and it put her in a foul mood like little else could.

Kugen stopped abruptly , staring straight ahead. He had heard something behind him, it souded like more than one person. His fugitive mind started to race. He couldn't believe that there would be another assassination attempt so shortly after the first. It didn't make sense...in any case, he couldn't fight in his condition, so instead he turned and headed for home. Although he didn't display any of the signs of someone who was being targeted, his mind was racing, he was trying to consider all the possibilities. Maybe it was nothing at all...he could just be on edge...either way, he didn't want to take any chances. Although, the last thing that he expected was Arashi.
Upon reaching the wall that surrounded the village, he used air to propel himself over it. This didn't require much chakra and he was too lazy to walk all the way to the gates. this was usually how he got in and out of the village since his house was located near the wall. He silently made his way through the back alleys of his district, few people lived in this part of the village and he didn't bother to get to know any of them.
