((Ambrose Nick is standing up now, Malic is on the floor Edited to correct stick mistake))
"No!" He called out as he saw the large man rush between them, facing Nick, with a tight fist and what seemed to be a stick or spear stuck in his arm. He couldn't make himself wonder too long about it as the action of the giant snapped him out of his shocked daze causing Malic to regain control of his senses, though still was fearful of the cat man, he didn't want him hurt because of him.
He struggled to get up, sand sticking to his wet clothes, then stumbled back as his poorly leg gave way completely and to add insult to injury, he was knocked back down by Picho.

((Oh didnt know he stood up. Also the stick is in my arm, as in im impaled by it.))
Hering a noise and scuffle behind him, he didnt even make the swing. He knew what the noise was.
"No!"
And just as nothing even happened, Ambrose stood up and started walking towards the village.

He wasnt even sure how he did it. But some how he ran past the titan, and over Malic. Now he laid there spread eagle in the sand, face down. The mask gave him breathing room.
Now he remembered. She had shouted and it stopped the giant, and thus there was no reason to attack him. However, attempting to vear off course didnt seem to work out to well.
"I only hope the others arn't looking at me right now. hmmm.. this sand feels pretty good actually."

Nicholas leaned forward and offering his paw-hand out to Malic, he tried to smile as pleasantly as possible, but with fangs that was made difficult. “It’s okay, I won't bite or anything, I promise he also said this as gently as he could, he remembered his promise to himself, to try and be nicer in general.

Malic stared at the starry sky, the large man was in his view then walked away unconcerned, still not seeming to notice the impaled stick in him.
Next to him, Picho mumbled something but Malic caught the last sentence and from relief and passing terror he laughed, nodding his head in agreement, even though the masked avenger couldn't see him.
The smile, however, was wiped from his face as the cat man hovered over his line of sight, a paw held out to help him up.
He shook his head, the fear returning in his eyes, a promise couldn't make the phobia disappear. He closed his eyes tightly, sweat beaded his forehead, his head still shaking slowly as he lay flat on his back.
"N-no... please." He whispered, hands digging into the sand, body shaking slightly from his shallow breathing.
((Man, if he's like this meeting a house cat, what would he be like meeting a tiger or lion o.O?))

Whoa, Nicholas had seen people with phobias before, but this was extreme, he’d never seen someone with such an irrational fear. He sat himself next to him in the exact same way cats do with their fore legs supporting them, if it where it not for his clothes, anyone would have mistaken him of a very large cat.
“I don’t want to hurt you” he said, still trying to sound gentle “You were talking to me just fine until you found out I was a cat” he watched him shake back an forth for a moment, waiting for a response. Nothing. He leant forward and wiped the sweat of his forehead.
“See?”

His eyes stayed shut, he could feel the feline's eyes bore into him. Please go away, please go away. There were no sounds for a while except the roar of the waves and the sharp breaths of Malic. How did he not notice he was a cat? It was so obvious! He cursed his stupidity, then cowardice under one breath.
It - He spoke again, Malic tried to listen to what he was saying, but a part of him wanted nothing to do with the sly beast. The beating of his heart seemed to get louder, thumping in his ears, but he heard what Nick said and he forced himself to agree.
He's human, he's human, he's human. He thought over and over, but the furry face, fangs and sharp unblinking eyes forced it's way into his mind. Malic shook his head trying to dislodge it, trying to see a human image even though when he opened his eyes the face will still be staring down at him. His lips trembled as if trying to speak, but his mouth and throat was so, so dry and whetting his lips it made no difference.
His shoulders shook, he was hot , not feeling the cold anymore, then he recoiled violently as someone touched him, he reacted as if he was forcefully hit in the head. Eyes shot open, it touched me! He screamed in his head as he rolled to his front, irrational instincts forcing him to believe his life was in danger as he clawed to his feet.

Picho stood up, sand falling from his mask and robe. He reached out to grab malic.
"HEY! Snap out of it Chief!" he yelled, the mask distorting his voice slightly.
Ripping off his mask to be able to shout louder.
"BIG MAN! Get over here! This guy is going into shock!"

He let out another loud sigh, which faded off into a low purr. Malic was just getting ridiculous now, he’d just wiped his forehead, yet he had flinched as if he’d been punched. It’s not like he looked threatening in anyway, on the contrary, he though he looked rather cute, but irrational fears didn’t exactly let people think very clearly.
“I don’t want to hurt you!” he repeated, though this time losing the gentleness his voice had earlier. He crawled himself closer to him, remaining in his cat like pose. “Go on pet me” he said with quite a forceful tone in his voice.

Malic's arm went up in defense, then he stopped once he realised it was Picho. He stared at the bloke as if just woken from a dream, no a nightmare, yet he knew this had all really happened
He sat there out of breath, thoughts re-gathering and taking control. People probably thought he was over reacting, but the fear of the cat man had mingled with the fear of becoming like him and the bird girl. Trapped, isolated from the outside world and from family and turning into some sort of freakish monster. As if dying from cancer wasn't enough torment.
The shock of discovery and only a few hours sleep had taken it's toil, any other time and place he would've acted differently, still frightened but not terrified. New emotions pushed their way to the surface. One of them was shame.
"I-I know" He breathed, his face flushed red and he looked anywhere but at the feline. He felt sick, dizzy and sticky from sweat, sea and sand. Malic did know Nick wouldn't hurt him, as he knew all cats wouldn't go out of their way to attack him, but no matter how many times he told himself this, he would still cross the street upon seeing a cat in the path. A lifetime of fear was not so easily dismissed.
From the corner of his eye, he saw the lad come closer, but Malic forced himself to stay there, every muscle tensed, fought against wanting to get up and run far away as he stared at his shoes intently, biting his bottom lip so hard that he swore he could taste blood.
The night sky was starting to lighten, the sun making an appearance and chasing the shadows of the night back into the corners of people's minds. Malic's demons were still lurking on the edge of his own mind, not as easily subdued.
He shook his head slowly at the command, eyes still fixated on his shoelace, but completely aware of the two figures next to him.
"I-I can't." It was barely above a whisper. He never before had a reason to confront his worse fears, never had a need, so it was left to fester like an open wound. His fingers closed around the soft sand, the place where he was touched on his forehead burned and itched. It's all in my mind. Fight it! But he had no will left to fight, no strength to confront his phobia. He felt and probably looked pathetic.
"I-I'm sorry."

He watched Malic for a few more moments, waiting for him to stop staring at his shoes. He considered purring contently for Malic, or some other adorable action for a moment, but he quickly reconsidered, acting more like a cat wouldn’t help matters. Don’t bother, he doesn’t want help.
“Fine, if you’re going to be like that, it’s your choice, I was just trying to help” he hissed. He stood back up again, and turned away towards where he’d left his things. As he walked off he purposely let his tail brush against Malics arm out of spite. He’d tried to be pleasant, but his phobia had gotten on his last nerves.

"I-I didn't ask for your help." He spat weakly, anger bubbling to the surface, but he wasn't angry at Nick, he was angry at himself for being stupid and letting his fears win, angry at feeling helpless and most of all, angry with being trapped on this island where everyone around him were turning into animals and at Dr. Moreau for tricking him here, using his weakness as a lever.
The brush of the tail startled him, with a sharp intake of breath his arm jerked as if ready to hit out, but stopped against his chest. Worried eyes with knitted eyebrows stared after the frightening feline, maybe in defiance to his phobia or making sure the cat was really leaving, his expression was unreadible between the two.
A sigh left his lungs, a hand covered his eyes then migrated to his mouth as his elbow leaned on one knee. The waves broke onto the sandy beach.
"I'm such an idiot and a coward." Never before had he felt such terror since he was a kid, and that was only due to nightmares he had long since forgotten, and now, he hated himself and so did Nick.

Picho stood next to malic. The red glass eyes of the mask glitting wildly as he looked up.
"Hey chief, is there any place to rest or something?" The distortion sounded somewhat like he was speeking through a speeker.

Phoenix turn around as picho called out to him, but only his head. Did he know what would happen already? of course not. He was just bored with the situation.
He waited till Nick passed him. then began to follow. Never once did his expression change. An not once did he even pay attention to the stick that was still stuck in his arm.

His head jerked up at Picho as if wondering where he came from so suddenly. His eyes were wide open and face still pale.
"Uh, yeah." He replied slowly getting to his feet and fetching his stick in a trance like daze. Was he still in shock? His knee throbbed and Malic was thankful he had such strong painkillers. He set off in a slow pace up the beach, suddenly feeling tired. I should have more phobias, I'll bet it'll cure any insomnia.
