Well I had my reasons for liking them in the beginning which I most likely posted before, but the thing that keeps me listening to their songs over and over again is that I just love trying to figure out what they mean, like it's some kind of puzzle. Also, I just sit there blown away from the fact that there was so much I didn't know about the world and I need to learn. Listening to them is part of my thank-you for making me open my eyes.

Lol I luv that chic n' stu img lol it's awesome.

well, for one, their names xD

Serj's voice also. Very powerful. Perfect for the political rebellion they're known for.

Also, their weirder songs are just as great as their powerful ones. Like Vicinity of Obscenity. Amazing song; weird, but amazing.

I heard sugar few years ago from a friend. He let me listen to the whole cd, and since then, i've been addicted to SOAD. They are greatest band ever

Do I have to pick just one thing? It was everything!
The music I was listening to at the time before I heard of SOAD was just... ew. But when I began to listen to SOAD they're music and lyrics were refreshing to me and really spoke to me. Trust me, soon after I was online looking up EVERY LITTLE THING about SOAD and it's members. I just had to know everything x'] Or at least I tried.

I remember the first time I heard SOAD.

I was listening to kroq in NYC just by habit pretty much. Most of the songs i thought were horrible. I liked rock and punk for years but it just seemed like the entire world of music had lost any ingenuity. Then I heard Chop Suey! I thought it was the most interesting thing I'd heard in years. Then kroq banned it after 9/11. So I bought the CD, and quickly fell in love, then with the first album.

There are a lot of reasons for liking system, but the most prominent reason in my mind is the band actually made me think.
It wasn't just musical nonsense.
[well mostly]

KONORET
Shavo's beard mostly.....
Dude, I don't blame you, I was eying Shavo's beard most of the when I went to their 2005 concert in October. Lol, He's gotta be the best bass yet.

Actually, before I ever saw them live I got into them by their sound and lyrics, their songs really caught on to me, and they have really deep meaning. And some of them are just messed up and I love it. xd
