Everything was moving so quickly, and Tifa barely had time to react. Lust's body was on the ground, lifeless and unmoving, ravaged by the others, and...
And more importantly, what had happened to Saix? A tiny swell of apprehension rose within her chest, and the talk with the one called Dias really didn't help.
So Dias was his...other? Until now, she didn't quite understand what had gone on, and she had a cold, dreaded feeling that she really, really didn't want to know. All that was clear now was that Saix was not himself anymore.
But...if he wasn't...how...?
Even as Vincent leaped into the fray, Tifa was hot on his heels, not quite about to let the menfolk do everything. Seifer was her friend, after all as well as the little monkey Zidane, and she wasn't going to stand by and see them get ripped up.
Pausing for a moment as a hyena made itself known, and suppressing the instinctive lioness urge to growl at the animal, she forced herself to focus on the situation at hand.
"Saix! Stop!! Xigbar, get out of the way!!!"

Saix's head snapped to Tifa, growling darkly at the lioness. "I am NOT Saix!!" He snapped, and he turned fully to her as he continued to hiss and growl.
"My name is Dias! D-I-A-S!" He shouted, his tail flickering aggressively as his peircing yellow eyes, having slowly begun to turn red, was burning an invisible hole into his lover.
All these people! So annoying! Dias shouted angerly, not taking the fustration anymore as he charged at Tifa, and before she knew it a heavy paw struck her across the face, the loud smack sounding throughout the Oasis as he watched the lioness collapse to the ground in a heap from the blow. He grinned as small scratches had drawn blood across her cheek. Blood. Something he was dying to see!

Xigbar's attention fell on Tifa for a moment. "Wah!?" Then he saw her get hit and cringed. He heard Saix call himself Dias. "Dias? Your original? Dude, you may want to be the old you but I can tell you're still Saix. We have out hearts back but that doesn't make us our originals. What's goten into you?" Seeing Saix's change in facial features as he became amused by the damage he done Xigbar gulped. "On second thought, maybe I don't want to know." He began to step back slowly.

Xigbar looked for an exit and his eyes fell on another familiar (somewhat anyway) face. "Axel?"

Physically, in the Pride Lands. Mentally, in his own personal hell.
"Wh-what's going on?" A loud smack had knocked the lion out of his hellish flashbacks, bringing him back to the present time. From what he could see, someone had moved him from Lust's body and placed him a little ways away. There also appeared to be a change to Saix, as instead of the gruff yet warm-hearted ex-Nobody, there stood a beserker in human form. Lying on the ground in front of the threat was Tifa, blood streaming from her cheek where he had attacked her. Dammit!!! Saix totally lost it!!! I want to help.........but I'll probably just hurt them..... When he saw a new lion rush in to help, however, and back away afraid, his mind began to change. I don't think I can do more wrong than Saix is right now.........besides, I'll be gone after this is over.
Summoning up all his strength, Seifer dashed at the beserker and tackled him as hard as he could. Both lions went hurdling into a nearby tree, the impact knocking it down and spraying wood shards everwhere. His adrenaline masking the pain from his new splinters, the ex knight jumped back up and pinned Saix to the ground. His claws popped out, digging into the ex-Nobody, and the youth bared his fangs, leaving no doubt to what he thought about the recent turn of events.
((I don't know if lions actually do that, but my puppy does this when he's pissed, and he's an effing psycho, so it's close enough. XD))

Xigbar watched as Seifer attacked Saix. "Woh, that kid's crazy. Does he want a death wish or something?"

"Whoa!" Man could things change fast when it came to combat. Zidane swung his sword around, balancing it better for him to sprint toward where the recently fallen lion had now pinned the blue haired maniac? It was starting to get extremely hard to follow this, he thought, as he skidded to a stop by the two lions and levelled one end of his weapon at Saix's throat, staying off to the side so as to not impede the other's work.
"Just stay down like a good kitty," he muttered, shaking his head. What he wouldn't give to be back on Gaia with his friends. At least he understood how things work there.

The heavy blow against the tree sent shocks of pain throughout the lion's body, dazing him long enough for Seifer to restrain him. Dias growled, panting heavily as he glared at the two before him. How dare they?! His anger only intensified as he felt the blade against his neck and heard the monkey's words. Kitty? What the ******** with range, he struggled to rip the man off of him. To escape and fight once more!
"I will NOT let you win!" He snarled, crimson eyes showing nothing but intention of murder and bloodshed. He managed to stick his hind legs against Seifer's stomach and he begun to force Seifer off of him, claws digging into the boy's stomach as he did. The berserker nearly flinched as the hold on his shoulders begun to get worse, and his long ago sealed scar was being reopened.
Then it hit him again. The scent of blood. His own blood...Tifa's blood, Lust's...It all hit him hard and drove him insane! He wanted more! He wanted to taste it...Dias wanted to hear spine-tingling screams of his victims. Of Saix's emotions flooded with dispare and horror!
"I will kill you all!" He snapped, claws digging further into Seifer's stomach as he continued to try and pry the knight off.

Seifer could feel the ex-Nobody's claws sink deeper into his stomach, causing blood and possibly stomach acid to leak out from his wounds. The pain was mind-blowing, yet he continued to sink his own claws deeper into Saix's wounds. I have to stop him.......I can't let the others get hurt...... His sanity having evaporated with his previous panic attacks, he leaned down and tore at Saix's neck with his fangs, hoping it would stop the attacks. Every action dug the ex-Nobody's claws deeper into his gut, but the youth didn't care.
I was planning to kill myself anyway......why not now instead of later? Less chance that people would be hurt.......I only wish I could say good-bye. Despite the growing pain, he tried to focus his thoughts on those who were important to him. Sora.........hope you find Riku, buddy..........Roxas....fine you're struggle champion. You're better than me anyway.......Rinoa.....you're like my sister now. Don't let anyone push you around for being a sorceress.......Squall.....thanks for being the only best friend I can smack around.....and Kairi........I love you.......Maybe in the next life we'll be together.....

Falling back as Saix's - no, Dias' - paw slammed into her face, she felt pain rush through her entire body, as well as the strange, sticky sensation of blood...
Baring her teeth in true lioness fashion, the young woman managed to get back on her feet, her tail flicking dangerously even as her mind whirled. What now? Was Saix still somewhere in there? Was he truly gone?
Fighting down a wave of panic, Tifa was about to move into action, to hold him down when Seifer and Zidane attacked him.
Maybe there really was some good in being a monkey, came the offhanded thought as she saw how well Zidane used his weapon. As a street fighter, Tifa's best assets were her hands and legs, and now that it was effectively not in use, she only had to rely on her lioness instincts.
Startled even as Dias' claws dug into Seifer's belly, her eyes widened. If he was that violent, Zidane - being the smallest out of all of them, had the bigger chance of being attacked.
Protective instincts kicking into his gear, she moved into action, ignoring the pain tingling at the back of her mind. She had been brought up to ignore pain, to work through it, and she advanced, joining Seifer in pinning the crazed lion down. Sweeping Dias' paw away from Seifer's stomach, Tifa slammed it down to the ground beside him, holding fast.
With Zidane pointing the knife at his throat, she knew that he couldn't move without the blade slicing into his jugular, she turned to call for backup. They couldn't let him loose, they couldn't afford to!
"Vincent, Axel, Marina! Some help here, please!"
This was Saix, she thought; and if she could bite her lip, she certainly would.

Saix gasped with pain as he felt not only the pain from the knife digging into his neck, but now he had Seifer biting painfully into him. His legs were linned, and now Dias layed helpless before them, fighting ended. "You..." He started, but howled painfully as Seifer's fangs dug dipper at his words.
His eyes widened after a moment, the pain giving Saix enough of an upperhand that his control over him was slipping. No! I won't...let him win! Not after...I waited so long! He cursed in his mind as his worst thought was taking effect.
It didn't take long until his vision grew dark, and he fell limp in their hold.
Golden eyes slowly opened to see Seifer looming over him, Tifa and Zidane close by. His neck and back hurt badly, and he felt blood mixing into his mane. He looked at them, who seemed to be suspicious of if he was Dias or not. "I'm...I'm sorry if I did anything to hurt you guys..." He breathed, wincing at the pain in his neck from speaking.
He looked at Tifa, sensing her dismay with what had just happened. It's no longer safe...not with Dias around... Saix thought sadly, and when he tried to move, they would not let go. Were they still suspicious?

"Hmmmm." Zidane leaned forward, not letting his blade move an inch, and stared deep into Saix's eyes. Gold. Odd, but not the same red as before.
He jumped upward, hanging to a branch by his tail, blade away from Saix's neck. The lion had room to breathe, but if he tried anything funny, Zidane was right there above him to knock him one.
He wanted to look up and see how the others were, especially the one whom Dias had clawed, but he didn't dare take his eyes off the prone lion below him.

It had all ended in a flash. Tifa had rushed over, removed Dias's paw from the younger lion's gut, and held him down. A minute later, the eyes of the enemy and switched from demonic red to bright gold, signaling the return of Saix's sanity. Seeing there was no more he could do, Seifer backed away, the coppery tang of blood still intensely concentrated in his mouth. He could feel the same liquid dribbling out of his belly, leaving a trail whenever he moved. His adrenaline gone, all the ex-knight was able to do was flop down on the hard ground, exhausted.
He was almost ready to die at that moment. Every fiber of his being ached for the panacea of eternal sleep. However, one thing pressed at him from his mind, preventing him from letting go and drifting off to the unknown. "Guys.......when we leave......can I catch a ride to Neverland? There's some things I have to discuss with Squall before I go....."

Xigbar watched all that went on within last few moments. When he noticed a sudden change in Saix, he slowly approached. He didn't know why Saix was the way he was before but now Xigbar felt that he was back to normal. He looked around at all the others. The only two in the group he knew (or at least recognized) were Saix and Axel. Odd that it would be the two of them of all people. But Xigbar was still curious as to what the reason was behind all the latest events. He approached the group and looked down at Saix. "Okay, can someone explain what just happened? I'm still kinda at a loss. I know Saix to be crazy but that was way more than usual. What's going on?" He looked mainly at Saix and Axel more than anyone else hoping that maybe one of them would answer if the others did not first.

Saix slowly got up when Seifer removed himself from over him. He, too, was having trouble moving around, having reopened his scar on his shoulder as well as new ones on his other and neck.
He heard Xigbar's question, then recognized he was there. Wait...here? Saix looked at him with confusion. "How'd...?" He stopped then, realizing Xigbar had his memories back and was able to move about space without any difficulty. Made sense...
Now, to explain what happened...
Sighing, Saix sat down and licked the blood from his shoulder, careful not to irritate his wound in his neck before speaking. "That...was Dias. He's been with me since I became a Nobody. You could say, in a sense, he is a spirit." He begun, and knew from that sentence alone he confused so many people. "Xemnas noticed how hostile I would be at random moments, eyes being crimson and ripping apart anyone and everyone just to see blood, gore and screams of agony. So, to resolve it, and as well as save me from insanity, he locked him away deep inside...Also made sure that my physical features would change in his awakening, which was often painful." He explained, keeping his head down to the ground.
"When Xemnas died, the seal broke...He was freed...I tried to hold him back...but from everything that has happened, he only overpowered me. Had it not been for his simple loss of control that moment, I would have never been able to regain control of myself. He'll....come back...not right now, but soon." He whispered, his ears dropping down at the thought. "I don't...want to hurt any of you...No one."
