Beast's Castle, Main Hall
With a soft word of thanks to the departing gummi ship - it really wasn't as bad as she thought it would be, although the ride was a tad bit bumpy at times - Lenne paused outside the enormous, imposing castle, taking a moment to register its intimidating form before moving forward.
Shuyin was in here, wasn't he? At least, as far as she knew...
Feeling a strange swell of happiness rise in her heart at the prospect of finally seeing her lover again, she continued walking, pushing open the large door and hoping that she didn't make too much noise. The summoner-songstress didn't quite know what to expect, truly, and she wondered if there was a reason why they called it the Beast's Castle.
Nevertheless, she stepped inside, taking a few moments for her eyes to adjust to the abruptly dim lighting.
"Hello?" she called out softly, an uncertain note in her voice as she decided to start walking, soft boots making almost no sound on the floor.

Beast's Castle - Main Hall
Not only did they leave, they left in pairs and groups. Well, good riddance! Shuyin didn’t need people around, much less their help! He would find Olympus on his own! But blondie here decided he was going to stick around. Why? What did Shuyin ever do to him? Well, other than just now but that was far from his point.
“Listen here. Where do you have the right to call me ‘boy’ anyway? For your information—“ But he never got to give Luxord the whole ‘I’m over 1000 years old and don’t get me started’ speech. A voice now echoed through the very empty hall.
”Hello?”
That voice! He knew that voice better than any other. Sapphire eyes grew wide as Shuyin whipped around to see a woman coming through the oversized doors.
“Lenne! Lenne!” He shouted, completely forgetting Luxord as a child would forget an old toy. Shuyin darted down the hall, not realizing how very large it really was and immediately pulled Lenne in an embrace.
“Lenne! What are you doing here? Are you okay?”
((Woah! Sorry for the very late post. >.<))

Beast's Castle--Corridor
A small pain throbbed in the back of Yazoo's head, but that spread like wild fire. Everything. Every last little detail was filing itself into place inside the "remnant's" head. Mother was...Jenova before. Jenova's head, more specifically. But...Lucrecia was now? No...that couldn't possibely be right! There was only one Mother...only one true one. Now the only issue was figuring out that one little question:
Which was it?
The burning question linger in Yazoo's mind as he looked somewhat absently at Kadaj, his mind elsewhere. Though something from that look snapped him back, and only then did he catch its message. There was something dangerous up ahead.
A slim hand hovered down by the holster at Yazoo's hip, the steel frame of Velvet Nightmare causing his nerves to react to the cold weapon as his hand touched down. Glass-like orbs darted about in an attempt to locate whomever was about.
Kadaj motion a hand and Yazoo followed, toe touching the ground first. The ball of his foot slid down next, only to be fallowed by his arch and heel. The same motion repeated itself continuously as Yazoo followed Kadaj towards the on-coming fight. Well...fighting wasn't new. Not whatsoever. There was nothing special about this.

Lenne's uncertainty became one of surprise when she saw a red, black, and yellow blur race down the halls towards her, sweeping her into an embrace that took her breath away.
Shuyin, Lenne felt a smile tug at her lips even as a potent mixture of relief and joy rose within her. After what seemed like an eternity, she was with Shuyin again, and the way he asked her questions almost immediately after that almost made her want to chuckle. He was so adorable sometimes, and his overprotective nature had not changed, even after a millenium.
Her own arms going around her lover's waist, returning the embrace, she nodded happily at his questions before speaking, soft brown eyes filling up with tender emotion even as she gazed up at his concerned face. A slender hand reaching up and stroking his cheek affectionately, the songstress-summoner responded quietly, "We decided to leave Olympus after all, and I thought I'd come find you instead."
Brushing stray tendrils of his blond bangs away from his face, Lenne's eyes sparkled with a gentle teasing even as she continued, quite happy to stay in his embrace. He was so warm, so solid, and so... there, and it was then that she had realized how much she had truly missed him. "It seems like blitzball players never lose their speed, huh...?"

Beast's Castle -- Corridor
Blissfully unaware of the mental turmoil his brother was going through, and not about to question Lucrecia's reasons, Kadaj was happy enough with her. They had spoken before, and Lucrecia had mentioned that Kadaj and Yazoo were indeed remnants of Sephiroth. Kadaj himself did not like that classification, not in the least, but it proved that Lucrecia was their true mother, and Sephiroth, b*****d that he was, had hurt her.
And that, was unacceptable.
Fluidly drawing Souba, with an unconscious grace Kadaj hardly knew he possessed, the remnant stepped forward quickly, quite determined to take care of the potential threat before it could do them any harm.
He caught sight of the blonde woman and the strange pink-haired man not too far ahead, as well as the strange blue dog that had growled at him earlier. They were not alone, and the silver-haired young man suppressed an agitated hiss as he moved with a catlike swiftness over the stone floor.
What the hell were those things surrounding them? Under normal circumstances, Kadaj wouldn't really have bothered, and would much rather leave the trio to their fate rather than get tangled into their business, but they were in the ******** way and Kadaj was nothing if not a prideful, almost spoilt young man whose brothers allowed him his way every single damned time.
Now was no different. If it meant getting rid of the obstacles and allowing them to continue, then so be it. With a backward glance at his mother, he turned back to the little scene ahead of him, Souba held deceptively loosely in his hand as he strode forward, paying the strange creatures no mind.
"Do you people mind moving? We're coming through." Kadaj commented carelessly, feline eyes scanning the group with a mix of irritation and disdain.

Seeing as the boy in a man's body was now talking to the girl who had just entered the castle, Luxord watched them from the top of the stairway and breathed a little sigh. He was on his own.
It was ironic, really. He was the first to speak of the idea to get into groups and explore the castle...and he was the last one in line. It was exactly like picking your team for dodgeball.
And so, with this in mind, his brain troubled and something tensing up in his chest, he continued on and disappeared within the confines of the second floor. If someone wanted to join him, they can use their own energy to find him.
Luxord was done with this joke.

Beast's Castle - Main Hall
This was real. This was no dream. Lenne… It was really Lenne. They were finally together once again and this time, they were alive. If the process was not so painful and aggravating, Shuyin might have been thankful that the Heartless attacked the Farplane. However, they still hurt them. They still tore Shuyin and Lenne apart. For that reason alone he would never forgive them, even if they had somehow returned life to them.
Shuyin placed his hand on Lenne’s as it rested upon his face. Her touch was as real as ever. “As long as you’re safe, I couldn’t be happier.” The man smiled gently before furrowing his brow at her second comment. “And what’s that supposed to mean anyway?”
The footfalls of the other man pulled Shuyin from his dream-like bliss of reunion. He just caught the stranger as he disappeared beyond the stairs. Frowning, he turned to Lenne, already guessing at what was on her mind.
“You’re going to want us to follow him, right?”

Beast's Castle - Main Hall
Her heart warmed at his familiar, gentle smile and kind eyes, Lenne simply nodded before teasing him slightly. He had always been a little sensitive to words, even more so after a thousand years, but he was no less endearing to her.
"Just commenting on how fast you are," She murmured quietly, inwardly delighted at the fact that they were together again. With him around, Lenne knew that she could face down anything, even the looming Heartless threat that was becoming more and more prevalent in their current environment.
And speaking of environment, her attention was caught on the disappearing stranger that had passed the stairs. Frowning slightly, out of curiosity and the fact that Shuyin didn't seem too worried, she nodded at his question.
"Well..." She murmured quietly even as she reluctantly moved out of his embrace and in the direction of the stranger. "It wouldn't hurt, would it...?"
The eerie quality of this castle spooked her, and the long corridors resembled the Bevelle Fortress that she had entered minutes before both her and Shuyin's death.
Shaking off a slight shiver of apprehension, Lenne nodded slightly and took his hand, leading him towards the stairs. "Come, Shuyin. Perhaps we'll find a way to get back to Spira from here..."

Beast's Castle - Before the stairway and Ballroom
Shuyin continued to frown. He was right. Lenne was a summoner, one who was meant to help and serve others. Sometimes he just wished she would think of herself first for once instead of complete strangers. But if finding the blonde man was what she wanted to do, Shuyin would follow her to the end of the world.
"Alright," he nodded, hiding his disappointment. In all truthfullness, Shuyin did not know what else he wanted to do now. He had found Lenne, just as he had hoped, but then what? Return to the Farplane? That was a world for the dead, one that they were no longer a part of. Spira? Let's just say that Shuyin could use a vacation from the Al Bhed and machina of Spira.
He felt him being pulled by Lenne toward the stairs and listened carefully to her every word. So they were on the same thought pattern?
"Return? Why? There is nothing left for us on Spira."

Beast's Castle - Before the stairway and Ballroom
Pausing in her steps as she took in his words, Lenne thought about it for a moment. She was not deaf and blind to what Shuyin thought of the Al Bhed and machina. Forgiveness did not come easily to him, and the brunette understood her lover.
Perhaps...perhaps now was the time to listen to him, for once. Shuyin had allowed her her way more than once, and never once had he complained. Although Lenne knew that if she could turn back time, she would still go to the frontlines to fight, it didn't mean that she hadn't regretted it, especially the agony and pain she had caused for the both of them for the next millenia.
Maybe now was the time to make it all up to him; they were alive, after all, and perhaps Spira, laden with painful memories, was not the place called home anymore.
"You're right," Lenne murmured, turning back to flash him a warm smile even as she squeezed his hand. He was tired of Spira, she knew, and perhaps the Heartless invading the Farplane was turning out to be something a little better than they thought it would be, considering that they were now out of the world of the dead, with another chance to start over. "Shuyin...we'll find a new world to settle down in, to start new lives, all right?"
But there was something wrong with that picture. From what she'd seen in the message boards, it seemed like the other worlds were being invaded by Heartless, or something, and this...Septsinian threat - although distant, was proving to be a threat. and Lenne knew that she couldn't just leave them alone.
"But...we need to help the others first..." She remembered the boy Roxas, Rikku, Yuffie who suffered at the hands of both Aros and Xeryim, and the others...

Near the Dining Room
Lucrecia was waiting for Kadaj and Yazoo to come back from dealing with...whoever had appeared in the other room. She stood calmly, turning when she saw Lenne enter. Lucrecia would have gone over and talked to the woman who had been so kind to her but...she wasn't going to interrupt the reunion Lenne and Shuyin were having.
She watched them, thinking about how good it would be when she finally got to see Vincent again. After a minute or two, Lucrecia began to notice that she felt increasingly light headed. Her ears started to ring, growing louder by the second, drowning out all the other sounds around her.
Two small hands went to hold her head as she sunk to her knees. She closed her eyes, and tried to slow her breathing down to it's normal pace, she had to calm herself before things got worse.
It was...so strange. She hadn't had spells like these since she was pregnant with Sephiroth...and those would include horrid visions of what Sephiroth would try to do to their planet.
The spell only lasted several minutes, but to her, it seemed like hours. She opened her eyes and looked around; pulling herself to her feet carefully, swaying a bit before regaining balance.
Lucrecia decided to use the wall as a support beam incase anything else should happen...she had to get out of this world. Home...when they went back to Gaia, she could try to find a way to cure this.
The thought of going back to her old profession sickened her, it had caused her no good in the past...but if she was ever going to lead a normal life...the Jenova cells would have to be removed from her body.
The Only question was how…

Main Hall
Xeryim was so tired of this job it was disgusting. He was even growing tired of screwing people up the way he had been, not to mention his reprimand at Vivax's hands. He wanted to get in, get Wrath, and just get out already. He stormed down the carpeted hallway toward the ballroom, scanning the darkened Gothic corridors for his quarry.
First though, he saw a man and woman side by side. He eyed them for a moment before saying softly "Ah, it's the Farplane lovers." He ignored any response they might have had, walking past them and continuing on to the stairs, climbing them swiftly and reaching the platform.
Something no one had yet seen was Xeryim truly angry. His whole body shook with ill contained rage as his face contorted into a furious scowl.
"WRATH? WHERE THE ******** ARE YOU!"

Tensing as she recognized Xeryim's voice, Lenne froze in place as he walked past, apparently not too interested in them. His anger, however, seemed to radiate from him, and the summoner-songstress instinctively felt a little sorry for the individual that the Prince of the Heartless was angry at.
For a moment, she wondered if she should go after him, to see if she could somehow help the pers--
Wrath?
Now there was an odd name...
Glancing over at Shuyin, and deciding that she had better keep him away from Xeryim - her blonde lover's temper had worsened over the years, and she wanted to keep him safe, which meant keeping him occupied with someone that was NOT Xeryim and thereby preventing a fight. Shuyin, Lenne knew, was never one to shy away from battle - or even the hinted notion of it, and he did not take kindly to people who threatened him. Besides, the lone person who disappeared up the steps probably needed their company a more than this Wrath person.
"Hello?" Lenne called up, a little uncertain, and wondering if she was supposed to be raising her voice in this place.

"WRATH? WHERE THE ******** ARE YOU!"
Tilting his head curiously at the sudden bellow, Kadaj's jade-green eyes flickered back to the idiot that was blocking his path. Hm, this was probably Wrath, one of those pesky Heartless things he'd seen on the networks lately.
Not that he bothered with them, really. Whatever happaned to the lot of them were their business, and as long as he had Mother, he was fine and dandy.
A slight flex of his hands, and the leather creaked faintly. The young remnants shoulders were relaxed, with Souba hung loosely in his hand. Turning back to Lucrecia, his eyes widened slightly in alarm as he saw her using a wall as a support. The pallor of her face was vastly worrying, and he wondered, almost panicked, at what was wrong with her.
Now, if only he could get those idiots to move, they could find a place for her to rest.
"Move!" Kadaj snapped, his patience already wearing thin.

Beast's Castle; Bedroom
The blonde gambler had just begun sifting through the drawers of a dresser in one of the many bedrooms for anything that could possibly be a clue for...well, anything, when he heard that yell--
"WRATH? WHERE THE ******** ARE YOU!"
He winced a little in reflex of what he usually saw in movies. The person yells, and something either attacks or falls and kills them all. Shaking his head to clear his mind of that notion, he continued to fumble through the furniture, finding mostly moths, dust, and eaten-up remnants of expensive-looking clothes.
Then, something rather soothing and calming went through his ears, the voice of that young lady from before.
He stepped quietly to the entrance of the chamber, went down the hall, and peeked around the corner at her and that blasted, immature partner of hers. Whatever he was to her, he did not care for, but he was not in the mood for a boisterous attitude.
"Proceed with caution, miss. I've not a clue when or where the floor will fall out, or even if it will." Hoping they both would heed his word, he ventured back into the cell he was searching, continuing to do so.
