Member Name: Yvaine
Styles Learned: Blue Sash, Northern Style Kung Fu
Weapons Learned: Long Staff (almost, anyway - last few moves missing)
I haven't studied for very long, obviously. I had to quit when I was pregnant (couldn't stay awake for the classes anyway), and now there are babysitting issues, and...grrrrr....but Laren (the husband) and I d**k around with padded weapons and joint locks at home, and I'm getting better...It rots, though, because I was about to test for Purple Sash when the bomb dropped. A few more weapons classes and I'd have finished the Long Staff form as well...

Lawks, I forgot! Some people count Qi Gong as a martial art. In which case, I've been teaching two obscure forms (same master) for five years, and am learning a new one now (more powerful, I keep belching like a walking earthquake). Yep, still the same master. I like her. She isn't looking for profits.

DarklingGlory There ya go Marty, reprasentin the Shorin-Ryu Karate wink Yondan aswell, tidy xd Heh, yeah, to my knowledge, Shorin-Ryu isn't as common as the Japanese styles such as Shotokan. But I love the fluidity of Okinawan karate...it's like putting on comfy shoes to me...

I'm curious about yours. Ours was handed down through Musashi Miyagi...no joke, he was a real person. I had no trouble remembering his name, mind you! I would have to do homework myself on much more since I'm usually working with the beginners and the little kids...the historical stuff has gotten rusty... sweatdrop

Name: phi one zero, phi, or if you want to be really boring, John.
Styles: A few years of aikido, six months of military combatives. I was ultimately frustrated and dissatisfied with both, for different reasons. I'm currently enrolled at an MMA training center which teaches panantukan, kali, jun fan, muay thai, and American combat wrestling. So far I absolutely love it.
Weapons learned: Jo, bokken, katana, single kali stick, double kali sticks, kali stick/dagger combo, dagger.
Favorite weapon style: Kali stick in the right hand, dagger in the left.
Ranks: 3rd kyu in aikido, Level 1 in military combatives. I haven't tested yet in my MMA program.
