Koichi came to the mouth of the cave as well, a few minutes after they seemed to have stepped into it. A blue layer seemed to appear around him, caressing his body, as he started down as well; from the layer, he could see just fine. I'm not going to let it get any farther, he thought, slowly making his way down the slope. He store intently ahead, his eyes almost seeming like they would set aflame. There's no way that boy is going to get to Skylar; it's impossible. She's mine, he thought, clenching his fist to feel a slight cold metal against one of his fingers and part of his palm. Never

Kai continued slowly beside her, keeping ready to catch her if she happened to fall again. He never could be too careful, he was finding. He blinked as his foot hit water and he pulled it back sharply onto dry land. Then he suddenly gazed around. He'd really been paying more attention to Skylar than to their surroundings but now his eyes widened as he took it in. "Yeah..." he agreed awkwardkly, reaching out towards one of the crystals. "Hold on a second," he said softly and carefully pulled his arm from around her so he could crouch down. He ran his hand along the surface of the water, staring in awe at the light coming from it. It really was amazing. He blinked, wondering vaguely if his eyes were glowing like they normally did in the darkness. Then he stood and slipped his arm back around Skylar, still staring around and then looking at her.

[[it's in the newest update]]Skylar watched him in curiousity. She poked the water with her foot, trying to see if it was warm, cool or freezing. To her shock- and suprise- the water seemed to be fairly warm; almost like a hotspring. She looked over at Kai, feeling the need to jump into the water again. She was, as usual, insane at moments; she couldn't get away from the water that day. She started to blush again, though, realizing Kai had put his arm back around her. She felt something against her foot suddenly, and jumped in suprise, looking down to see it was a cute, small animal; all the same, she stepped slightly closer to Kai, just looking at it. "I hope... it doesn't bite," she laughed softly as she watched it just crawl away, back up the hill.

Koichi stopped for a moment, seeing something approach him; it seemed to be white and fluffed. He stepped aside, not wanting to know if it was dangerous or not. After he was sure it wouldn't turn back, he started once more down. Just as he came to the part where the hill turned to the island, he stopped and peaked his head around. He clenched his fists even more; they were a little close. His knuckles turned white as he continued to look, just watching from the lines. What, he wondered, would that kid pull next on Skylar? He could only help but keep the thoughts away to allow him to stay hidden.

Kai blinked as he saw Skylar blushing, then chuckled softly as he shook his head. But he instantly refocused as she jumped, and he looked around to see what had caused it. His eyes fell upon the animal as it crawled away, his head tilted almost curiously. "Well, it's lucky it didn't bite," he pointed out with a rather evil grin, yet he was just teasing. Besides, he didn't even have his sword with him. The grin soon faded back into the smile as he hugged Skylar gently, his one arm still around her. His right hand was hanging limp at his side. It was still stinging, but he wasn't about to give that away and worry her further.
He paused suddenly, glancing behind him and back up the slope they'd come down. He was frowning, trying to figure out if someone was there. He'd caught an unfamiliar scent, but soon dismissed it. It was probably left over from a past visitor or something. He exhaled slowly and glanced around the cave again before looking back at Skylar.

Skylar laughed, but was somewhat shocked as he pulled her closer. She was too buisy just looking down at the floor to notice him look around. After a moment or two, she leaned her head against him, relaxing somewhat. Something about this place, she realized, seemed to put her into a type of trance; although it wasn't a bad trance. I feel so... giddy but mellow she thought. In a way, it's hard to explain, but it's strange, for sure.

Kai felt her head lean against him and smiled softly at her, slightly adjusting his arm around her. His eyes traveled slowly around the cave again as he began wondering absently to himself what it was called. It seemed to have a strange... effect on the people inside. Skylar was leaning against him, and he felt content, despite his wounds. Though, maybe it was simply because she was there. You weaking, a small voice suddenly shouted at him. Look at how you've allowed yourself to change! You let your guard down and was even injured for it! Kai just waved it off, forcing it to the back of his mind where he couldn't hear it. He blinked, tilting his head so he could see Skylar again. If being a weakling meant he could spend his time like this, rather than picking fights with everyone he saw, he could honestly say he'd prefer being the weakling. Though... it was almost painful to admit.

Skylar looked up at Kai, smiling as she saw that he had been looking at her as well. Once again, that feeling of emptiness seemed to return. Why... do you keep coming? she questioned herself, Are you telling me something? She lowered her eyes slightly, bitting her lip as she continued thinking. What was wrong with her? Why did she always feel like that. Also, why was there something at the tip of her tongue which made her think this wasn't right? Is there something I'm supposed to remember?

Kai frowned, bending down slightly to see her face better. He'd seen her glance down a bit and begin biting her bit. "Are you ok?" he asked softly, arm still gently around her. He began wondering if he'd perhaps done something wrong again, accidentally offending her like he felt he'd done so many times already. He stared into her eyes, waiting to see if she'd look back, or at least respond.

Skylar looked up at him, but smiled faintly. "I'm fine, don't worry about it," she said softly. She blushed slightly, though, realizing how close he was to her. Je peux... she thought, once again, as she had before. She couldn't help but think it, although she never allowed herself to get past two words. All the same though, she continued to feel that somehting was supposed to hold her back from what she was doing; that something was supposed to restrict her... but what was it? She didn't come close to placing a finger on it, so how would she ever know what it was until it right up to her?

[Sorry for delays. I'm finally getting some help for Shepard in the hospital! xP Ha, but I hope your play goes well ^^;]
Kai couldn't help smirking again as he saw her blush, but at the same time began feeling a bit awkward. She didn't look as comfortable as she had just a few moments before. Had something happened but he missed it. Ugh, damn it... he thought quietly to himself. That voice immediatly began speaking in his ear. You've ruined things already, you weakling! it laughed wickedly. You are hopeless. You should have never left home! Kai resisted the urge to growl, thinking it might bother Skylar even more and instead closed his eyes for a moment. He didn't understand. Hadn't she been the one to admit she liked him first? He ran a hand through his hair absently, running a hand slowly through his hair.

Skylar looked up at him, seeing that he'd closed his eyes. Now, she knew, was better time then ever to get that voice out of her head as well. She knew he was frustrated; that he thought she was having second thoughts, but she couldn't help it; the feeling was driving her mad. Her heart seemed to be beating in her ears as she tried to calm herself down. After a moment, she suddenly leaned foward [o.O], aiming to kiss him; normally, she wouldn't make the first move. This situation, however, seemed to call for it.

Kai turned to face her again, eyes widening in surprise as he saw her leaning towards him. But before he could react, their lips had met. He just stood there for a moment, eyes open wide until the voice suddenly snapped him out of it. You idiot! it screamed, and Kai snapped back to reality. His eyes closed and his other arm wrapped almost automatically around Skylar as well. His heart was beating rapidly, the pain in his chest and hand momentarily forgotten. His mind was racing as well. She moved first again! So this means I... didn't do something wrong? He was confused still, but she was kissing him so it couldn't be too bad, right?

Koichi stood there, watching everything. His breathing seemed to deepen with each move, his jaw clenching more, his hands clenching farther until his nails cut into his skin. His eyes were wide, though, as he watched the two embrace. "You b*****d!!!" he screamed as he suddenly just dove out, drawing back his hand, the one with the metal, before bringing it foward when he was close enough; he made sure he'd miss Skylar when he brought it foward. "You evil little prat! Take your hands off her!" he screamed while he'd approached. His heart seemed to have broken slightly, although it was still going for her, and his eyes seemed to be bottomless and emotionless; full of rage.

Kai heard a shout and froze, his eyes opening wide. He jerked away from Skylar and turned his head towards the entrance of the cave. "What the hell?" he frowned, seeing a man running towards them. There was someone in here! he thought, recalling the scent he'd picked up earlier and matching it to this male. Kai's right hand started to come up to block the attack, but he froze as he suddenly remembered the injuries there. So instead he jumped backwards into the water just before the male struck him, only he landed on a thick sheet of ice, rather than falling right beneath the surface. "Who the hell are you?" he asked, eyes narring upon the male. From his words, Kai judged that he knew Skylar somehow and was possibly somewhat protective, or something... He glared at him from his place on the water, tail flicking angrily behind him.
