I think its because piano has a beautiful sound that most asians like us like. I guess it was just brought down to all asians. sweatdrop

I'm japanese and I play piano too (well my mother force me to play an instrument). I'ts make me feel better and that relax me. biggrin

I'm chinese Thai and Hawaiian and i use to play but stopped. i got tired of it. i played for 3 years though. and btw my mom made me.

I had a keyboard at home.
So then, I started playing at 5.
No tutors though.
And now, I have taught myself and can play these huge songs.

oh, i dont know why, so many asian parents have their kids take piano lessons eek ; but i heard on the radio today, that people who play instruments have better grades than people who dont play instruments. xp ; because they have a better memory or something xd

Also i think its because it seems to have more class..my parents dont want me to learn, especially when i said i wanted to learn how to play Yuna's Ballad stare

i have wen i was REALLY little but now all i know how to play is hickory dickory dock. and i never practiced but the pianos still here
