Mary, still unconscious, seemed to be thrashing about as hard as ever and took to screaming. Tears streamed down her face. I can't.......the monster.....Mary!

Kibo holds his head, frustrated. He eventually unsheathes his sowrds again, and calls another spirit out.
Kibo: Doctor, please look after her. Wake her up if you can.
He heads to the main deck, and looks around, a slightly mad smile on his face.
Kibo: Heh heh. We can whether this storm. Moral and a few spirits are holding the ship up, and with all the spirit-tied items, the ship's pretty much unbreakable. I'll stay abovedecks to steer. I'll need Barret to stay, to operate the paddling mechanism. The oars are spirit-tied, so don't worry. Everyone else go belowdecks and tie down everything that'll move, and get ready. The winds are very fast, so be careful. Don't come abovedecks unless absolutely necessary. We're running the gauntlet, everybody, and I want to get through it with my crew mostly intact. Now go!

monster....wait...Mary....NOOOOOOOO! At this last word she woke up screaming at the top of her lungs. Mary, breathing hard, took in her surroundings. Below deck of the GodSpeed. The doctor-spirit spoke to her. Lie down. Perhaps you should take this. She pushed it away. No. If you please. I need to speak to the Captain as soon as possible.

The wind picks up. Kibo smiles as he stares down the impedning storm. He grabs the wheel with both hands, and holds on, knuckles whitening in the roaring wind.
Kibo: Barret! Get to work! The sails are down, so I'll need you to step on those two pedals alternately. The right one controls the right side oars, and the left, the left side.
Barret: Aye, sir!
Barret grabs onto the side of the ship, and begins pressing down on the pedals.

The doctor-spirit looked at her. The Captain is very busy at the moment. And right now we are in the middle of a hurricane. She sighed. I understand. Could you give me a glass of water please?

Suddenly, a faint echo of Kibo's voice echoes into the interior of the ship, almost drowned out by the heavy wind.
Kibo: Is Mary awake yet?!
Spirit-Doctor: Yes, sir. She wants to see you. She apparently wants to tell you something important.
What appeared to sound like a sigh barely managed to make it belowdecks.
Kibo: Fine.
Moments later, Kibo appears jumping down the stairs, his hairand clothes soaked from the rain. He shakes much of the water out of his hair, and looks at Mary.
Kibo: So, what did ye want to tell me? Make it quick. The spirit that's steering the ship can't keep it straight for much longer.

Suddenly, the ship lurches to the left, sending Kibo flying against a wall.
Kibo: Urgh! That kid can't hold the wheel any longer! You'll need to tell me later! Please stay down here.
With that, Kibo runs back up the steps. His silhouette can be sen struggling against the wind as he fights his way back up to the wheel.

She watched in disappointment as the Captain rushed away and heaved a heavy sigh. She looked at the doctor. Thank you very much for your service. I shall not need it anymore. She heaved another sigh. I suppose it shall have to wait until the storm has passed. Then her face lit up. Thats it! She rushed on deck to the bow, raised her arms, and shouted into the storm. By the gods of the sea. You shall begone! The winds blew harder than ever and her feet left the ground. she hovered about 15 feet from the deck and suddenly a bolt of lightning struck her and she fell. But then the rain stopped, the winds died down, and the clouds parted to show a full silver moon.

Kibo stares in confusion as Mary rises into the air. However, seeing the light start to flash in the above clouds, he leaves the wheel, and runs towards the floating woman, stopping temporary as the lightning hit her.
Kibo: No!
Kibo runs underneath her to catch her as she fell. He then carried her back belowdecks.
Kibo: Miss Mary can't seem to stay conscious. Could you look after her again, Dr. Gafalt?
The spirit doctor quietly steps forward and takes her from Kibo, carrying her to her room.

She opened her eyes and wriggled free from the doctor's grip falling with a thud on the floor. She yells to the Captain No! There is something I must tell you.

Kibo turns around at the thump, looking with concern at Mary. However, he turns back around, resheathing his blades.
Kibo: You should get some rest.

No! The rest can wait. First of all, my name's not Mary. You remember me telling you that I woke on the beaches of Tortuga and had not remembered how I ended up there? Well, when I lay here unconscious, everything came back... My name is Gwendolyn. I am seventeen years of age, the daughter of a fish merchant. Mary was the name of my sister. Mad Mary Rackham was her pirate name. And she fearlessly sailed the seven seas. When mother and father had both died, I had no where else to go. So I served as cabin boy, or rather cabin girl, on my sister's ship. One day, our ship crossed the path of the Davy Jones and his dreaded monster the Kraken' *Flashback* Mad Mary Rackham and Gwendolyn held on to the mast as the ship, already split in half and tipped. Mary spoke to her sister. You're the one to escape, Lyn. No! You'll escape with me. Nope. It was my fate to die at sea. Here take my coat. There are useful things inside the pockets. Mad Mary Rackham then lets go of the mast and falls into the mouth of the Kraken. *End of Flashback* So you see Captain. I'm not a great pirate at all. I suppose I've been only acting like my sister. But I remember everything now and I was never good at sea. Perhaps you should drop at the next port. Or better yet I deserve to walk the plank.

Kibo: Uh oh. Barret, bring Moral up here. He needs to hear this.
Barret brings Moral up, and Kibo tells the story to him, but leaving out the term "monster."
Kibo: So, there ye go. Yer father ate *points to Gwendolyn* her sister.
Kibo turns to Gwendolyn, a look of resentment on his face.
Kibo: Yer a great pirate, Gwen. Whether ye were thinking ye were yer sister or not, ye did great. Ye even stopped a hurricane, which is more than most of us can do. I'd like ye to stay, and continue being a member of my crew.
The ship shudders, and begins to turn slightly.
Kibo: Think about it for a while. You still need some rest. And I need to steer this ship. The rest of ye, get these sails back on the mast! We're dead in the water right now! A perfect target! Hurry up!
