I tried that Farseer + Fire Prism combo against a space marine player. I built up his hope by telling him that the pilot only had a BS of 3, and then I broke the news to him that it would be getting a little extra help from my Farseer. And thats not to mention the fact that I moved it back and fourth 7 inches every turn (since all penetrating hits count as glancing if it moves over 6] Yeah it's always fun to play mind games with the opponent.

I have a few questions mainly dealing with some things in the Eldar Wargear section that have been bothering me for a while:

1. Do laser lances count as a gun (i.e. they only get the one shot when they charge) or do they count as close combat weapons and get used throughout combat?
2. If your Scorpions Exarch has a shuriken pistol and a Scorpion's Claw, does he get to fire both weapons or must he chose one?
3. What is the point of the Bright Lance being assult 1 when the only troop model (in other words, not a tank or platform) that can weild it is riding a jet bike that can move and shoot heavy weapons?
4. If you do equip your Shining Spears Exarch with a Bright Lance, does he still get to shoot as he charges into combat, and if so, would he use the stats of the Bright Lance for the attack?
5. What are the chances that Runes of Warding would be at all effective and worth bringing into battle?
6. You do get to use Madiblasters every turn of combat, right?

ok, so that was alot of questions, but i'd still like them answered if possible.

Most of those can be answered by looking in your codex, but ill answer a few.

2: No, he must choose one to shoot with.
4: no, he cannot shoot as he charges, unless the 4rth edition rules say otherwise.
5:it probabaly wont be worth it, but its fairly good against enemy Warlocks, and otr librarians.
6: yes.

That is the rules on the mandiblaster. I've read the codx times through again and again so I would know.

I have a few questions mainly dealing with some things in the Eldar Wargear section that have been bothering me for a while:
The rules lawyer has entered the room!

Faeruithir
1. Do laser lances count as a gun (i.e. they only get the one shot when they charge) or do they count as close combat weapons and get used throughout combat?

From memory they don't count as a gun. They are a CCW with a special charge ability. So you only get the shot on the charge. But hypothetically if your Shining Spear was armed with another CCW or a pistol they would get an aditional attack. I'll have to check this up though.

Faeruithir
2. If your Scorpions Exarch has a shuriken pistol and a Scorpion's Claw, does he get to fire both weapons or must he chose one?
Choose. He must choose. Relativly few things can fire all their weapons. Wraithlords can ^^ so always arm them with 2 flamers ^^ Yes you can actually do it to ^^

Faeruithir
3. What is the point of the Bright Lance being assult 1 when the only troop model (in other words, not a tank or platform) that can weild it is riding a jet bike that can move and shoot heavy weapons?

That is simple. It is because an ordinary jetbike cannot move and shoot heavy weapons. So the brightlance is therefore useful as Assault 1.

Faeruithir
4. If you do equip your Shining Spears Exarch with a Bright Lance, does he still get to shoot as he charges into combat, and if so, would he use the stats of the Bright Lance for the attack?

That's an interesting question. It's never really come up before. Heck and I do play a full unit of S'spears too odd that. I say no, on the grounds it doesn't say so in the rules.

Faeruithir
5. What are the chances that Runes of Warding would be at all effective and worth bringing into battle?

Gah I always get these mixed up. Myself I always take the runes that let me roll 3 dice for my Psychic tests. However I never take the other runes. Gods I can't even remember what they do. I guess it shows how much I think of them.

Faeruithir
6. You do get to use Madiblasters every turn of combat, right?

Oh gods no! Same as the laser lances there.

Faeruithir
ok, so that was alot of questions, but i'd still like them answered if possible.
Hmmm that gives me an idea for a thread.

I just understodd how I can use Warp Spiders and make them become the ultimate H2H squad. They might not be as effective as Scorpions but I just found out how to do some serious damage.

LoL nasty arn't they ^^. I know I oftern field a 10 man tooled sqad of them. But Unless you're facing light armoured troops or toughness 3. They really need support. They are more of a surprise flaning unit than an assault unit. Mind you they are also damn good at taking out vehicles.

They might not have a huge strength but if you do it right you can just decimate Orc's or possibly Tyranid's with my new strategy.
