Well, see, basically... I dunno if I ever mentioned this, but I'm one of those teenagers who gets into making music just to meet their idols.

I want to play in this band I'm in just so one day I can tour with them. That's my primary motive.

I don't care if I have to sign to Warcon and deal with the screamo pussies, I don't care if we have to pull a Hedwig and play concerts in the buffet restaurants outside the stadiums they play in.

I stick with the "i'd rather be their friends" thing.

But I would hate to impose by speaking English around them, since my Japanese is shitty considering I learned what I know from their songs.

i could never date them..... i agree friendships are way cooler but i wont lose sleep over it lol

I guess I could meet him and not kill my perfect vision of him. There's just some things I should never ever ask him.

What are those?
I can't ask him anything about his lyrics, his performance, or his fans. The fans especially. I have very particular ideas about Kyo and his fans. I wouldn't want him to ruin that for me with his stupid reality.

... I think he could understand that, right?

huh. Are you thinking he would say something negative about his fans? confused

I love all of them, but Shinya has always been the one that I say "yes he ish teh hawtest" to. I love Kyo because, well, he's Kyo and it's hard not to love the Waru. He's so kind offstage and he is such a deep person becausee of his experiences and I totally respect him for that (but he does have the best freaking abs I've ever seen!) As for Toshiya, yeah he may have had some bad hair days when Cleaver Sleazoid came out, but he made my jaw drop the last two times they came to NY (february and june) and he has always made me smile with his energy and his love for what he does. He just has to watch out or he could need to have his teeth fixed. Again. Die is someone they broke the mold of when Kami-Sama made him. He had the deepest eyes, the strongest jawline and the perfect smile. Kami-sama was probably like: "Well, my work here is done. Fangirls will scream over this for centuries! now time for a nap." He has a well rounded personality and he takes music seriously. And plus, English was his best school subject, that's why he's a fawking lobster bytch! And Kaoru, he has the attititude, the hair, and the Ganessa. He always made me laugh when he was messing around with the rest of the guys, but he always amazes me when he has to get down to business. He knows how to run a band, and even scare a few people (teehee Kyo) I was 4ft from him at the last NY show and he just oozed of cool. He knew what he was doing, and he definitely knows how to control a crowd. He also is a type A like I am so I understand his actions better than any of the others in the group. And back to Shinya. Shinya is freaking adorable and equally as talented. He has always been my go-to favorite because when you're the younger child in most situations, you get picked on. When Shinya gets teased by the others I understand and I feel that I have one of the biggest connections to him. We're both pisces and born in the year of the horse, he has the exact same personality as my twin brother, so that's why I like him so much.
/endrant
PS: sorry if I just sounded like an uber fangirl, it was unintentional and I tried to tone it down. But you guys understand, darou?

I love what you say about Die.

I understand about your "uber fangirl-ness". I could talk about them all day, but I'd probably drive people nuts.

I think Kyo has a love/hate relationship with his fans, but there's certain things he does when you can tell he really likes being liked.

/:

So in a nutshell, I guess, yes. I'm afraid he would tell me he really doesn't like us as much as I think he does. Because sometimes you reach a point where you're loved so well your admirers begin to become expendable.

I think a lot depends on the fans themselves and how they act towards Kyo and also the other members.
There are fans who are just annoying and there are respectful ones who keep their distance and dignity, even if it comes to Kyo.
And agreed, I wouldn't want to impose on any Diru member at all, I respect them and I know where one should stop. There are certain things better left untouched and certain questions that should never be asked. But it's just my opinion and I don't know whether I was clear or not in this explanation.

I think that's true.

As for myself, I would do my best not be all fangirly around them. Course I'd probably be too nervous to say or do anything.

But I'd do my best to treat them as I'd treat anyone I met on the street.

I definitely wouldn't ask any personal questions.

Though, it would be ok to ask about Shinya's pups, right?

You know, I never thought about. sweatdrop

I hope he'd never find us expendable, as that would mean we don't mean anything. And if you think about it, we're really not. If we go, there goes his career.

You know, I'm feeling rather intelligent today.

That's exactly what I thought Wataru. I'm glad I wasn't too enraged to talk crap... mrgreen
Sorry if I was too harsh in my last post. Gomen!
I will try my best of best not to go fangirling...I think I would be able to manage it. A little off, but when I was at a local Gram Maria show and saw how stupid the girls there acted I went all serious. I enjoyed the show of course and the guitarrist noticed me...probably I was the only one who wasn't screaming nonsense.
I bet around Diru I would be extremely shy and would just mutter incoherent things.
And yes, I think it's okay to ask about Shinya's puppies.
Oh, and no, we're not expendable, we fans make them "rock and roll" so I think we do matter, at least just a tiny tid bit.

Yay. whee I'm glad not to be the only one.

I don't think you were harsh at all.

It might be hard not to fangirl. But for me, I'd want them to think well of me, and maybe remember me, and that I treated them like anyone else.

That could be. (about the guitarist)

I know I would be shy. Because of that, I'd probably have notes ready for them all, in case I just couldn't speak.

Yep.

A bit off-topic. I read an interview with Yoshiki, where he said he wouldn't be anywhere without us.

Indeed, and agreed again. I would want them to remember me as someone who is a fan but who treated them as normal persons and didn't overreact and whatnot.
Notes prepared...that's a good idea.

3nodding I thought so. At least that way if I get too nervous, I can just hand them the notes.

Fans on a personal basis, yeah. Fans in general, not so much.

I don't know. It's just a feeling I have with him, and I really can't express how I know and if I tried to draw from interviews and such everyone'd just think I'm crazy.

I try my best not to have any illusions about being important. It makes me sad sometimes, but I try not to stress on it too much. You know, Diru also started somewhere and the fans got them to where they are today. That's all I have to say...I don't like to ponder about things like this too much...might make me feel bad about them or might make me underestimate myself.
Other than that I think I'd be utterly surprised if any Diru member would even notice me for a split second at the show...

D: I think Die noticed me.

/:

Only for my shiny goddamn jewelery though. D:<

Anyway, there are some times when I feel appreciated as a fan. ... and it's not when they go, "Oh, I really appreciate all you fans." xP Anybody can do that. Most notably for me at the Detroit concert in June, when Kyo did his little "fish-hook"[bah] routine and sang Merciless Cult.

/: I don't know why, but it made me feel loved. Like we all mattered enough that this man would bleed for us.

And I don't care how many people say he does it because he's in the moment of the music and blah blah blah. Sure, he might be really into it, but you don't form a routine you can watch from venue to venue in "the moment."
i'dliketothinkKyo bleeds because he loves us.

...

I hope you all don't think I'm crazy. /:

I understand what you mean Ala. Even tho I haven't been to any Diru show in my life the moment I saw the PV of Merciless Cult on the DVD that came with my Withering CD I couldn't help but feel the same way as you did...loved, like I really matter. That song equals to Dir en grey in my mind ever since then. I nearly cried the first time I watched that DVD. Can't wait for the show!!!
