I went to a psychic with my mom once and he told me that I was a french girl named Monique ( I don't know how to spell it sweatdrop , so, Monica) and that my mother in that past life watches over me in this one.
I want to visit him again and find out more ^^

so if you get sucked in, lost, or if you witness something traumatic you can get back with no problem

First off, you cannot get stuck/lost in a past life. It is good when you are just starting to learn about your past lives to have someone with you for emotional support, because some past lives may be traumatic, but you are always watching from the outside and cannot be hurt by what you see. If you are worried about this in any way, the easiest thing to do is to add extra protective suggestions at the beginning of your meditation/trance work (or before you sleep if you are doing dream work). Sometimes when you are experiencing a particularly emotional past life, it can be hard to move back into the present, but that is not the same as being stuck. Even in hypnotic states, we are always in complete control of ourselves. No one can ever make you do anything that you don't want to do. We always have the ability to return to normal consciousness at anytime we choose.

I suppose a issue I may have is I tend to run a bit cautious. As soon as someone tells me something is perfectly safe, I have a hard time believing that nothing could happen. However, I see where you're going with it - teaching that things are fine does lend to an air of confidence, which is clearly a power of it's own whilst out traveling.
I was thinking possibly it would be like walking to the museum in a good neighborhood. It's a nice place and is generally friendly towards you, but it's possible (thought highly unlikely) for there to be some hostile or visiting entity.
Also, perhaps I should rephrase "stuck and lost" with stunned from whatever emotional trauma- and once you snap out of it, you can always get back.
Again, these scenarios don't seem likely to me, their just cautionary possibilities. If I plan ahead for such rare and nigh improbable possibilities, then I feel even more safe.
Also.. i found a big logic loop in one of my ideas back in my last post and I'm going to make a separate post to ask for help ironing that out.

I agree that the majority of the problems come from dealing with the emotional after-effects. It's one of the reasons that I usually advice beginners not to do regressions alone, until they really get a feel for how things tend to go. At worst you will have a little "emotional jet-lag" for a couple of days, but it goes away.

The first time I did a regression, I went to this really beautiful place. There were all these fountains and gardens, I never saw myself but I could see everything around me very clearly. I am fairly sure that it was not earth (or at least not as it is now). Everything was bright and sunny, then suddenly it grew dark and stormy (same place, but some time had passed), all around me there were people fighting, which wouldn't necessarily be strange, except that they all had wings and were flying (they looked like Angel from the X-Men movie, but this happend years before the movie came out). It was terrible, literally piles of bodies everywere. When I "woke up" I spent almost an hour taking a shower, trying to ground and wash away the residual icky feelings that I had. I can still see the images clearly in my mind - I'm not sure that I will ever forget them. I do know that when the war ended, so did the civilization - the two sides completely destroyed each other.

I did a tarot reading on a past life and what it basically said is what I'm living now, except for the marriage part....Is it possible to re-live a past life? question

It is possible to to have similar if not basically the same life twice...especially if you did not learn and complete tasks or whatnot that you were supposed to before......finishing the unfinshed business I guess you could say

For some reason I believe that I was a water snake in a past life. My first name, "Kelsey" and my middle name, "Margaret" mean "island of ships" and "pearl". I have always loved the ocean, and I have always felt I needed to be near it or something from it. I am a lefty, so my element is water, I believe. is this weird?

I also think that I lived during the nineteenth century in one of my past lives.

ooh! i got another one. In one of my past lives, I was a servant to a king, then for some reason he killed me...

Two things to talk about!
--
1: I found a really neat site with some tarot spreads on it! (it also reads online pretty good too x.x it told me about my egyptian past life perfectly) it's: http://www.instantoracle.com/tarot/ - they also have many other methods on there (it sounds a little silly, but it's really helpful!)

2: Okay so from the spread on that site i did my own reading with my real life cards. ... The past life it gave me sounded A LOT like this present life... In a lot of ways, almost -every- way. But it said that from that past life i got my artistic ability and my mental instability ^^; -- I was semi-worried about this one. For some reason. it wasn't too clear, but then again i'm trying to learn more about reading the cards, i'm still new at it.

When I was much younger I often spoke about remembering things that has never happened to me.
I used to be a young boy, about 7 or 8, living in Victorian England until my mother poisoned me. I had vivid flashbacks to being inside an upper-class hearse pulled by black horses.

Children are very receptive to remembering past lives. My son used to talk about one of his when he was younger, and for all my training and knowlege on the subject - it still creeped me out everytime he'd talk about it. It wouldn't have been so bad, but he would talk about how he was there with his "granny" when she died in the fire. He talked about it off and on for several years, but now doesn't remember any of it.

Anyone who wants to know more about children and past lives should check out Carol Bowman. We were in a Regression Therapy class together and her research is really amazing.

Now is it just me, or do a lot of people have a feeling of being connected to a life in England, or in that area, or is it just me? That would be funny if there was some kind of real connection to that...
I think I had several past lives. I have one from ancient Egypt when the pharoahs were in power, the victorian age, at one point in England as a hand-maiden for the queen (several vivid dreams about that one, just like Egypt), and a few others, but those are the strong ones.

I Think i was ones some kind of feline. I bite myself if i itch, like my hand or arm to remove the itch. I dont know why, i just do... i also claw my toes in and out like a cat does when i'm content. And i nuzzle a lot. I even scratch my legs with my foot. And i feel a strange tie to other felines, like i know what they're going through.

And thoughts?

i can also read animals thoughts and talk to them ^^ i talk to my pets all the time

I haven't really "looked into" my past life at all, but I know that ever since I was little I had a huge fascination with gypsies from the past centuries and hippies from the 60's-70's. For some reason I've always felt a huge connection with those people; the ones who lived off the road and the land and the ones who protested for peace and equality.

Does anyone have any tips for recalling past lives though dreaming? I can't seem to reach anything through meditation means, and dreams always seem to be an open floodgate for me.
I have had one dream with a gypsy mother and daughter living on the sea shore in a tent, and I felt a shock from my head to my fingertips just before I woke up when the daughter touched something. Does this mean something? I've had a few vivid dreams like this and they usually had to do with travelling and living the life of a gypsy or a "hippie".

Well, (speaking for the Americans here) we did move over here from Britain.
Maybe that could have some play in it?

i know i've had past lives, but i could never tall you as to what they once were. i don't remember anything of them, for it is more of a know thing. the only reason i believe that i've had past lifes are for those little moments where doing something or being somewhere feels oddly familiar to something i'd done before, but i was certain i hadn't. like being a natural with arts and living on the ice as i skate. simple things like that.

I think I have been reincarnated. Actually, I think souls are made of fragments of different past souls. I once wrote an exact saying from Mary Wollstonecraft, before I even knew who she was. Matter cannot be created nor destroyed, so what of our souls? Heaven would fall if everything that died went there. I do think there can be eternal damnation though, if you decide on making a pact for something you want. For example, Tartini, a famous composer, had a dream of the devil playing an indescribably beautiful piece of music. He tried his best to write the notes down, even though he could not play it himself. He considered the final copy to be incomparable to the magnitude of the devil's piece....he was an awful man. He was always running from cops. After trying to write the piece (he could read music, but not play) he was not found, until two years later when he could play an song written.

It is impossible to learn violin that fast....
