Sometimes I am dreaming and I didn't even realize I was asleep until after the dream ends and I realize I lost a few hours sweatdrop Like it will be the afternoon, and suddenly it's dark outside. I'm not a napper, and I normally cannot and do not allow myself to sleep at inappropriate times. But I find when this sort of thing does happen, I have some of the most meaningful dreams. The latest one:
I was in a wood, alone, I was aware that I wasn't very far from a dwelling or inhabited area where there were some people, I could feel them. I think I was worshipping trees or I was wildcrafting, and I was wearing what I think was a white tunic, and the lighting was bright, and dappled (through the tree canopy) At some point this huge person comes to me suddenly (ever watch Harry and the Hendersons, at the end of the film when all the Sasquatch reveal themselves, and you totally didn't notice them before, they were so well camouflaged) and he was sort of a Greenman. I could describe him in such great detail, he was fantastical. I have it all written down in my notebook. Now I was very scared I was already on my knees to begin with, but I prostrated myself to this 'greenman', but mostly to hide my eyes, because, like I said, I was so afraid. I think he was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand his tongue. I woke up then to my friend calling my cell, I was unaware I was sleeping, but it didn't really feel like I was asleep.
Since this, I have dreamt (real dreams, at night, when I am most definitely sleeping) of him, but only glimpses.
I'm trying to figure out who this was, why he was there, what he was trying to say, and what this strange and extremely vivid dream state is that happens sometimes when I'm not even sleepy and completely unaware of even falling asleep in the first place. I'd like to encourage it to happen again. I felt really good after it happened. Maybe 'refreshed' is the word?

I was wondering if anyone knows any good books/websites to help me interpret my dreams. I've been having this re-occurring dream lately, and I want to know what it means.
Lately I've been dreaming about being in love. I mean madly in love with a guy, but it's never the same guy. And there is no guy in my life at the moment, and I don't like any right now. But I really want to find out

I always have very vivid dreams and I can remember them almost all the time. @Little-Lenah: I've never found any of the books I've seen very useful, they aren't broad enough. I'm sure there are some very useful ones out there though, I'm just yet to find them. In the mean time you might want to try Dream Moods. I've used it once or twice. Take it with a pinch of salt though.

@ummei I have had dreams like that, or that in my dream I was talking to myself... [like I was there looking at my dream self having a conversation]. Little-Lenah Wrote: Quote: Sometimes I'm in first person, other times I see myself in third person. Once in a while, I am even a guy.... Same here. Most people just tell me that I must be a Leasbian if I dreamed I was a guy... psh, they know nothing about dreams though xP
I kept having nightmeares that appear to be normal, but they have been incessantly recurring for almost a year now.
Its always me, outside &&alone [they are always from a view of directly in front of me, looking at me] I can't tell if it is either night or day, its always cloudy, warm, &&windy. THere is always this guy, he always wears all black and a hood [like a hooded sweatshirt, a hodded cloak, ect.] sometimes he is short, or tall, or fat, or thin, or muscular, but I know it is always the same man. He attempts to rape me, but I always get away at the very last possible moment &&it ends with watching me run with his laugh in the background &&saying that "will get you next time... will get you next time..." I do not know the voice &&I have not been able to see his face or find out anything about him.
[eek, long post Dx]
Its not that important, but any opinions or help on how I could figure out why I keep having these dreams?

When I was younger I would have a lot of nightmares, so when I was about seven my mother taught me how to control my dreams so I would either be able to wake myself up or not have nightmares all together. So after a while I didn't have nightmares at all and then eventually I kind of just stopped dreaming all together or at least I couldn't remember having dreams.
So about a year ago I started having nightmares again, not horrid ones, just ones that made me uncomfortable enough to call them bad. I don't get a lot of them but I went from having none, to having some. I don't feel like i can't really "control" them any more. I mean i feel like I have enough "control" over them that they aren't starting to get REALLY bad but I use to make them stop all together and now there back. Now just a few months ago I started dreaming again, like good dreaming. I have started to have a lot of dreams, vivid dreams. I'm am pretty sure I have a dream just about every night. So I guess I was just wondering If you guys thought there might be a reason I am starting to dream again. Is there a reason my bad dreams have come back? Is there a reason my normal dreams have come back more vividly then ever?

The other night i woke up in a sweat from a horrible dream.
I was laying in my bed, covered in snakes and spiders. But i couldnt move or scream, though i tried.
It was so real that i woke up and jumped out of bed trying to get them off. I've had some vivid dreams, but not like that O__x

I keep having dreams where I'm at places I've never been but does exist, and I talk to people I have never met but later discover they exist too.... And sometimes I find myself accidentally in my friends dreams, but not on purpose! It freaked them out in high school and we did a little experiment for a month where me and my friends kept dream journals and didn't talk about our dreams then read them and I found my dream journal had entries exactly the same as a my friends and different sections.... I don't mean to! sweatdrop

I'll often get dreams where I have been there before in my dreams, it may look a little different, but it is still the same place. Usually I'm often a warrior of some sort but can use magic too.
When I was little, I had a nightmare that terrified me. I was with my family in a field and everyone but me was standing on toilet seats. Then the seats opened and everyone fell in and I was left alone. It was the worst nightmare ever for me. I was very young at the time. But then I found a little book that said to write down your favorite and least favorite food/color/activity... and one was draw a picture of your least favorite dream and I drew that one and the next day I couldn't find the book and I never had that dream again.
My brother used to be able to control his dreams easily but he would get nightmares too and he hung up a dreamcatcher and it stopped the nightmares but it also stopped him from being able to remember/control his other dreams.

It's called lucid dreaming. I've never dreamed like that. For me: Just a big, and usually scary, bundle of junk my brain is probably processing.
