It was Lucian. He limped in and began explaining without any word of notice. "Azure, the ex-Holy Kinght, poisoned the king... apparently the attack today was done by him and his followers... traitors is what they are." Lucian then collapsed. Goodwin rushed to him. He found that Lucian had been wonded... badly. Goodwin tried to revive him... but to no avail. Lucian's heart beat died away, and soon Lucian's spirit no longer remained.

Arabelle started to cry silently. Not another death... She could only imagine how Goodwin must feel at this moment. She did not know whether or not he wanted to be alone, or if he wanted to be held. She decided that he would come to her if he needed her, so she stayed where she was at.

Goodwin knelt next to Lucian and wept.

Arabelle felt for Goodwin. She wanted to go over to comfort him, but she wasn't sure if he wanted it right now. She did not make a sound as she cried for her dear friend, both the one that had just died, and the one crying for the one who just died.

((sry bout the one liner, was buisy))
Goodwin turned to Arabelle and layed his head in her lap. He continued to sob. "I'll get Fyse for this!" he yelled. "For the king... for Lucian!" everything he said afterthis was mummbled and hard to hear.

Arabelle stroked his hair, and tried to soothe him the only way she knew how. With a soft lullabye.

Goodwin controlled himself, but kept his head on Arabelle's lap. He listened intently to her beutiful and soothing voice. He then stood up and sat down next to her. He held her in his arms and continued to listen to her song.

Arabella put her arms around him and continued to sing verse after verse. She saw that it soothed him at least a little, so she kept going. It was a beautiful song that her mother used to sing for her to go to sleep. It was in some type of foreign laungage and she did not know what the words meant, but she didn't care at the moment. Her only concern was Goodwin.

Arabelle finished and Goodwin stared at her deeply. "Thank you." he said as he let go of her and stood. He through her his cloak. "Put this on." he demanded with out explanation. He then went over to Lucian's body and heaved it over his sholder.

Arabelle caught the cloak and looked at him questioningly. She trusted him, so she did not question him, and put the cloak on. She stared as Goodwin put the man over his shoulder. He was strong. He made it look easy.

Goodwin motioned for her to follow him after he made sure that her face was concealed. Then they made their was as inconspicuously as possible to the near-by river bed. Goodwin had wrapped Lucian's body in some sheets. He layed the body down and nelt next to it. "You deserve a better burial, Master." he spoke softly to Lucian's body. "But for the princess' sake this will have to do." After this Goodwin said a prayer and then heaved Lucian's body into the river. He then turned to Arabelle and put his arm around her. They walked back to the Inn.

She followed him, crying softly all the way.

((Gawh! You'll never believe this, but I've got a small writers block again. I hate it when this happens. I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow, unless your next post inspires me, cause I got nothin.))

((okie dokie... it happens. btw, i'll have a friend staying here, so i won't be on as often for a week or so, just letting u know.))
They soon made it back to the room. Goodwin helped Arabelle remove the cloak and then sat her down on the bed. He looked anxious and confused. "We'll need to leave this village tomorrow... we won't be safe here. Fyse probably wants you dead because you're the rightful ere to the throne..." he paused and stared at Arabelle deeply. "But... it'll all be okay." a tear ran down his face. He was a brave young knight, but he hadn't planned on having to handle this kind of mission on his own.

((Okay, that's fine. Uhh, it's still pretty much there, but this is a good pause point anyway, so I will talk to you when you get on the next time))
Arabelle realized how hard this must be for him, having to take care of her. She didn't show her fear, though she couldn't help but shake at the thought of dying. She wiped away his tear drop softly with her thumb. "I believe you."

Goodwin huged her and sighed. "Good."
