Some people just can't enjoy games... My mother is a good example.
But they have never took away my games. And that's the way it should be. I don't play awfully much and when I play, I think I have the right to do so.
But... they are our parents, so... They can do almost whatever they want to...

My mom took my bros xbox and my ps2 away once but for a justified reason i suppose....i was racing my brother in Forza and i just beat him so he threw his chair and broked the wall...and i laughed...but my mom didnt think it was funny. X|

So, this morning I awoke to find my PS2 missing from its spot, and I FREAKED.
I walked into my brothers room to see if he took it, and it wasn't in there.
I went to my mom and asked her and she says "You're getting to old for games. Besides, you're a girl, you shouldn't be playing so many video games."
At the same time, when I signed onto AIM and MSN, a couple of my guy gamer friends told me that their systems had been taken away too.
What is wrong with people?!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! My brother says I'll grow out of video games, BUT I CAN'T!! IT SEEMS INHUMANE crying
Someone tell me what to do crying I WANT MY GAMES BACK!
She even took away my freaking GBA!!!!
Have any of you ever gone through this?! She took away all my systems, and I have basically ALL of them except a DS and PSP. *dies* My games crying I have been through that. They were all "There is no future in stupid games!" and then I simply went online pulled up a couple of people who are billionaires for gaming systems, game programming, game testing, and other things. They gave them back and I am now going to college for gaming animation!

Honestly, the last time my video games were tkaen away from me, I was like...10 years old. Now, if I don't get work done because of the games, it's my fault, and that's enough consequence, I guess. Since I'm 18 now, it doesn't really matter. She knows that the video games are mine and if I wanna play them, I will. She respects what I like and when and where I like them.

my parents always say stop ur to old for video games and u should be doing more things with your life...
Once i got my gcube taken away for 4 months cause i got a c+ wtf!

I hate it when people say "You're a girl, you shouldn't blah blah blah" It just makes me want to explode on them. A girl is not SUPPOSED to do a certain whatever, no girl should BE a certain thing. The word "girl" shouldn't have to be used as a flipping stereotype! stressed

That's never happened to me, thank God it didnt. My parents view on it, games are a form of entertainment. They don't effect your life unless you want them to. It's like TV when that came out- some people thought it was the worse thing ever created. Eventually, people won't care and most parents (since we'll BE the parents) won't give a s*** if kids play video games or not.
You can never be too old for games! Or anything, when you think about it. Society says you're too old, but you're not. And girls can't play games cause it ain't girly... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's my reaction to people who think that.

I kno wat you mean. I had to give up GC for like 5 weeks, cause my mom said that My room wasn't clean, so I dont get 2 play. I'm 13! and she EXPECTS my room 2 be clean?! Thats like asking me to end wolrd hunger!!!!!! scream
