People don't really call me anything. Some say I look Japanese or Vietnamese or something, but they don't call me that. Most people know I'm Filipino. Most people know me well enough not to make the mistake.

Most people think I'm Chinese, which I'm not.
I'm hallf Korean. Man I'm not even 100% asian and people still think I'm Chinese.

My friend got mistaken for a Korean girl. D: She starting freaking and asked us if she looked Korean. o__o;; Misunderstandments can freak people out.

I was born in the States and I'm actually half Korean, half American, and people at school bring Japanese and Chinese magazines and ask me to read them for them. I can't read any Asian characters(kanji, hangul, etc.) at all and they assume that I'm Chinese and that I can speak and read in Chinese, and it makes me angry. stressed And then once I tell people I'm half Korean they assume I have a nuclear warhead in my house, even though my dad's from the South. I'm working on learning Korean right now. sweatdrop

I really hate it when people automatically assume my ethnicity and ask me to speak it, usually it's Chinese/Japanese and sometimes Vietnamese but never Korean. I think one time a stranger guessed it and it really made me happy (I was really little). I really don't like it when people ask me "Are you Chinese? You're Chinese aren't you?" and a lot of times, they repeat themselves.
When I finally tell them I'm Korean, they always ask "North or South" which sometimes is frustrating because by then I'm sick of being questioned. I don't mind it when they politely ask what ethnicity I am because I can understand they're trying to be respectful.
One time I really got mad when a girl called me Ching-Chong, in any other situation I would've probably gotten into a fight but it was at work and she turned out to be a nice girl and apologized later.
I've also had a guy scream fake Asian-jibberish at me from a car and a classmate crack Asian jokes at me. I really don't have much of a tolerance for stuff like that, I really hate it when people don't think.

Yo wasup everyone? Well as for some people get me confused to being filipino, native american, indian, or hispanic. But in reality, I aint in any of those categories. The majority of my blood is Khmer while the rest is Thai and Chinese. It's sad that everytime people come up to me and ask me for my race, I always tell them that I am Khmer (b/c I go by what I speak in the household) but I would always forget to include the other sides of me. I mean does anyone know what I'm talking about?
The one thing that I am most amused about is that some people would get confused about my gender and mistakenly label me for another!
But as for hating on asian races, yeah I do think that some in society have some sort of prejudice against us. Maybe because we are somewhat inferior to some people's view?
