Scion sigh and ordered himself a Tonic before looking at Eden. "I have already said it twice. I came to say sorry. Is something wrong with your hearing or is there only air inside that skull of yours? Pity sakes what is wrong with you!" He exclaimed. "Don't you get it?"

His ears went back into his hair, and he tapped his nails peeved on the counter. Damn, a little attack and the world thought you where going to destroy it. "My name is Scion. It's not that difficult to say Eden. Now either call me by my name or have me ignore all other questions you inquire."

Clearly they weren't getting anywhere. He was no closer to understanding what the hell this guy was and --all right, yes, he was a little freaked out. But he'd been bitten by something that suddenly had not only an ability to converse like any other normal person, but the capability to be upset over more complicated nuances, such as how he was addressed etc.

...Still didn't know what was going on, still a little angry, still a little scared, but really not wanting to be any more ignorant, enraged or frightened. Therefore he'd go along with this... urbane strategy. It was much better than being bitten. "Scion..." hesitant, tongue flicked out to lick his lips before they pressed together in a semblance of resolve, "Pardon me for being... surprised at your existence." A hint of sardonic humor, but more of honest explanation - he had no reason to expect another meeting with Skittles - or whatever/whoever was living in his body, apparently - to be anything but disastrous. No reason to expect courtesy and every reason to be confused.

“You wouldn’t be the only one surprise at my existence. I don’t like getting out much,” Scion replied slightly calmer and took the drink as it was slid down the counter. He gulped half it down, eyes closed as the burning sensation of liquor slid down his throat. “And I was dormant during the few months I’ve been here.”

He opened on eye looking at the lamia. “Don’t take anything as disrespect from me. It’s not meant to be and everything keeps trying to talk to me.” He wanted another drink but he would wait to see how this one went. The glass went to his lips and he sipped slowly tense. “Are you holy like most lamia, naga’s are or just a regular person.” Yeah, he had reason to ask. He had slept with a demon that he thought was just a bunny. A striper yeah but not a demon, this place was weird and lore said that lamia, naga where holy or spirital beings. He couldn't remeber right now.

Didn't... get... Well... in terms of normality it was weird, but it made a kind of sense when you got down to the subject of... two souls living in one body? Well, he was hardly an authority but the way Scion talked about it didn't sound unlike descriptions he'd heard. 'Dormant', and the like...

A frown had creased over Eden's delicate features, though it vanished into blank confusion once more before the lamia shook his head, appearing rather embarassed and making but a half-hearted attempt to hide it. "Hardly holy," he mumbled quickly, picking up articulation as he went along and becoming more coherent with every syllable, "Though that isn't necessarily true for all nagas - I'm... I'm a little different, even amongst my particular species." Pause, "Yes. A regular person." Cautiously admitted, though... really, what was the price of anyone knowing? He had no special traits to give away, no hidden weaknesses. Normal.

Scion gave a small smile as Eden began to relax a bit more, speak clearly. "Everyone is different. We would be clay dolls if we where all the same faceless." He ran his finger across the glass and shrugged a shoulder. "Want a drink or are you on duty?" He asked, tilting his head before finishing the liquid in the glass.

A familar buzz started, calming, and his eyes glazed over slightly as the noise and pain dulled into a simple ache. "What kind of food does this place serve?" Drinking on an empty stomach was a bad idea. Food to break down would slow the time his metabolism broke down the drink to pure sugar.

There was definitely something different at work here, behind those gold and crimson eyes. However much that might be... well, just plain odd, it was strangely comforting to Eden. He hadn't liked it when what he saw behind them was 'dinner'. The alternative, whatever it was, couldn't be worse. Well, it could. But odds were, considering it had to be worse than 'you're next', that it was better.

It was even a little funny that Scion wanted to comfort him - it wasn't something Eden needed comforting over, for one. But... that was sticky detail, which they'd probably steer clear of. Let the fox think what he wanted, both of him.

"Just about anything," Eden said slowly, moving cautiously to put himself rather awkwardly on a seat. The bar was too high from the ground for him to sit coiled and look over it comfortably. "Our chefs... come from many backgrounds, most of which don't synthesize well, thus... we're left with many options. Master Fellowes generally allows them to take the cultural course of their fancy."

"What are those.." he paused in thought going though the many commercial his twin had watched trying to sort thought the mess of chaos. "Corn chips in a triangle shape with cheese called?" Too much information jumbling around for him to pull a name. The voices where dulled to a white noise and he was almost happy. Scion shook his head amused at the feeling. So many years of silence and he was almost pleased to be talking to the suspicious naga.

He paused for a moment feeling an urge and gave into it. “Oranges?” He missed oranges they had been such a rare sweet treat and juicy. The red gold eyes winced at the sound of pleading lacing the single word. He didn’t beg.

Several blinks accompanied Eden's silence before the reply. He'd never heard nachos quite so technically described before. Oranges... that was simple and straightforward - admittedly a little out of place at a restaurant, but the anything goes attitude extended to all but hostility in M'lady Malady, encompassing the variety of food at the very least.

"Nachos," Eden said in an explanatory tone half to Scion and half to a passing waiter, whose upper arm he brushed lightly to grab his attention, "And an orange," he left the waiter with a look that, while not quite imperious wasn't exactly friendly. An expression that read clearly he was used to being listened to, at least in this sort of situation. "I don't mean to be rude," he began again, voice light and taught, as if afraid the ice might crumble beneath, "But... why are you hungry for... food, exactly?" Clear ignorance as to the ways of vampires, though not the automatic condemning that might be expected post attack.

"I like food. I'ved missed the taste, texture, smell ever since I was changed those two years ago." He reached a hand up and rubbed his neck. "We where resuricted here and for some reason I could eat now." He gave a little sigh, resting his head on the bar, giving a small smile at Eden.

"He didn't seem happy to be ordered to make nachos..was that wrong?" He questioned.

But wouldn't the ingestion of food do something god awful to a vampire's insides? Ah, not as if he knew enough about the subject to make suppositions. That didn't make it sound any less odd, mind, just... Oh never mind. Unconsciously moistening his own lips slightly while thinking on the subject of food (despite not being quite hungry himself), Eden looked contemplatively though still a little warily at the fox.

"Not wrong," Eden's shoulders shrugged delicately, eloquently, "Perhaps unexpected. I doubt it's on the menu." Not that the menu particularly mattered in terms of customer service at M'lady's...

That he showed no apparent shock at Scion's story now that he was less freaked out was a measure not of Eden's inherent calm (which was laughable to many, despite his constant attempts to maintain a facade of serenity) but the typicality of such strangeness to anyone in business in or around M'lady Malady. Resurrection? Not unheard of. For God's sake, his boss was a zombie. The only question might be 'why' - but that was rather more personal.

Scion gave a little snort. "What is on the menu? Beef wellington? Swallow hearts? Leg of lamb perhaps..I rather not be prescented with meat." He ran his fingers though his hair, combing it in the search to feel and remeber something. It was soft, kind of silkly and cool like the flower petals.

"Surprised I haven't seen Peregrine try to throw me out of something..That had ended badly for him though." Scion said, leaving his hair to give the dinners a scan. "So many different people.." He shook his head amused, a smirk twiching on the soft lips. "Probably like every other place though. The ones that are folder, the ones that are predators, and the few that protect."

Vaguely Eden wondered whether Scion knew the term 'vegetarian'. It wasn't that obscure an idea. Then again, the lamia had no idea into what company the fox had fallen since his arrival on Gaia - it might be with one of those more primitive groups, the ones that shied away from the more technological areas and strayed into the villages and small towns. Things varied so completely here...

It occurred then to Eden, however, that Scion might not really know where he was - in terms of where he sat, at least. "It's not quite like that," he said, sounding more as if he were protesting, "This is--M'lady Malady is strictly neutral territory for... everyone, all types - mostly the supernatural and/or magickal community," he blinked a few times, as if trying to remember a brochure and finding his memory wanting, "I... we... can't just throw someone out - not the staff, not unless there's a real, current problem..."

"And the lion bedded down with the lamb kind of thing?" Scion qouted the bible verse amused having spent time skimming different religions to cultures the few hours he could keep from being driven out. "If you exsist on this being netural then..." The hat was taken off showing the wild hair and he pulled out a small bottle of remover and rag rubbing the base and powder hiding the mask away.

Frankly glad of getting rid of the makeup he hummed. It had itched slightly and he kept feeling it would just flake of at the wrong moment. "I hate makeup."

Eden's lips pursed in amusement at the idea of Ambrose taking his credo from any religion over another, but every once in a while you could find scripture that said precisely what'd you'd been thinking already, so perhaps... "A little less idyllic, I think," he said thoughtfully, gazing a little blankly at the place where wall met ceiling. More like Ambrose hadn't quite been able to let go of his life and couldn't find any other way of interfering without being... well, non-interfering.

The lamia's head tilted to the side as he watched Scion rid himself of the covering, offering only in response, "It's heavy," and immediately silently cursing his incessant inability to be clever. This was why he preferred to be quiet, damnit!

((Oooo. Captain Jack Sparrow! *Tackles* Be my date to the prom?))

"No..it's more like it itchy, though when they where dolling me up there was a weight. Not in a physical sence, more of a sence of dread mixed with pride.."Scion shook his head and worked on combing out the hair from the hat head.

"I want my fooodd." It came out a bit of a whine. He was hungry damn it and if it didn't get here fast other methods of getting engery would start looking good. Like stripping naked, climbing on the roof and sunbathing or bitting someone. Sigh...both where inappropriate and likely to get him smacked upside the head. Sure he could absorb light when clothed but it against his bareskin felt so much better.
