I've come to a final conclusion.
I absolutely do not want Twilight made into a movie.
It'd be nice if it was..but it'd totally ruin my mind's image of the books.
And I don't want that to be altered. At all.
*-*

I'm just gonna copy/paste my Twilight Lexicon post. >.< Because I have seen a lot of the same complaints. Well not including the Eragon rant, but I didn't read all seven pages. Me on Twilight Lexicon I WANT there to be a Twilight movie. I love books made movies, because they tend to be good movies. I noticed a lot of people complained about how Eragon turned out. XD I understand it pales in comparison to the books; however, look at it as a movie, was it really such a waste of time? Stop trying to compare it to the book, because it can never compare. Just see it as a movie and tell me what you think. Besides, Ella Enchanted was the most butchered book made movie I have ever seen. Anyway, enough of that rant. Twilight as a movie will be great, I know it. I can feel it in my bones. There is not much they can't do with technology today. I am a bit worried about casting, but unless I find some way to be on the casting crew, I won't be able to do a thing about it. I know they'll leave scenes out. I love every single part of the book, but to make it a friendly length movie, they will have to take parts out. Well... that's my two cents. ^^ As for the larger fanbase... as has been said more fans = more money for the wonderful author that is Stephenie Meyer. ^^ I'm not too worried, a movie is a movie... as was said later in the thread on the Lexicon. Whether it flops or is a masterpiece, the books will always be there. And if you don't want it to ruin your view of the book, don't let it. You know what you see the characters looking like when you read the books, it may not be the same image others have for them, so keep those images close to you, don't let them slip away because a movie placed a face on the characters, so what? You read the book before the movie. *shrugs* Ish all I have to say, unless someone intends to respond to this.

Elimination Mecha Jereni_06 -is not a big fan of large fanbases- You may not be a fan of it, but a larger fanbase means more money for Meyer, which also leads to more of her writing. It's expensive to publish a book. I don't want it to get as out of hand as Harry Potter is (I swear the books are becoming increasingly horrible because she has to much pressure on her). Raezyn101 I can see Henry doing Edward,(sorta, kinda..Stephenie kinda convinced me into it..xD) but I'm hoping they do a reallllly good job on casting. Never know, we could get lucky, cha? I disagree, how the hell do you cast a vampire, who do you know that is beautiful enough to potray any of the cullons?

I kind of don't want it to, because if its sucks then it ruins the Twilight name. Then again I kind of do to see who the cast as Edward, and because I would get to see it with all my Twilight friends.

I dont really know how I feel about this. I would love it if Twilight was made into a good movie but I dont really thing the people who make the movie will stick to the book. I'm kinda not wanting it to be made because of all the fangirls and mess ups and all that stuff. Like when they made Ella Enchanted. That got me angry.

it doesn't matter to me. i think it would make an awsome movie but this is a movie that they better include everything or people might not get it.

I agree. Most movies tend to ruin the books. There is always something they'll change, and everyone's imaginations are different anyway, so no matter how good they make it, there will always be some people who don't like it. Sometimes it's just they way you imagined it, but the movie might be shallower, without the meaning of the book.
Basically, if they screw it up, I don't want it as a movie. If it's perfect, I'd want it.
The best book turned movies I've seen, are the LOTR trilogy. The worst, was Eragon.
As for casting..I sincerely hope they do it with CGI..or something. For the Cullens. How many vampirically beautiful people can you find that would fit their roles???
(invented a word there...)

Until i read this post i was completely against the movie, but now, IF they get great CGI animators that don't screw up the vamp's faces (that's a big if), then it could be amazing! edward is prettier (and when i say "pretty" i mean it in the most masculine way possible heart ) than any human, right? so why should a real person play him? I think it would be much better if they just animated all of them heart (they HAVE to do a good job though, or face ARMIES of rabid fangirls!)

I dont want it to be made into a movie because it wont get the emotion right. I mean it would be cool but it would never amount to the book.

As much as I would love to watch the movie, I think it would totally ruin the book, people have their own expectations of the characters and when they set up an actor thats the only one you'll see in your mind if you ever read the book again, and there are going to be a lot of stuff they'll have tu edit and cut to make it shorter, so my opinion is it should stay a book. Even though the movie is already set to come out according to Meyer.
