She just let out a small sigh and kept her eyes down at her plate. She then started poking her fork at her salad and took another bite.

She looked up and gave him a small smile. "I love you too." She then went back to eating her salad, and taking a drink of water here and there.

She finished her salad and put her plate off to the side. She took a drink of her water and a small smile appeared on her face. "Yea. I know what you mean." She then reached over and stole one of his fries and took a bite of it.

She returned his smile with one of her own and she started to feel better as she held his hand. Her hand was still scratched up and scathed, but the way he held it didn't hurt her. "I know. It's nice you hear you say that."

Mari nodded at his words and didn't lose her smile. "I love seeing my baby smile, too." She waited for him to finish eating and just took another drink of her water.

She just nodded and agreed with him. She was happy that he calmed down and that she calmed down, as well. She didn't want to be nervous or scared over something that might not be.

i'll go pay then we can go home and just relax. we're still not in the best of shape yet

Mari got up and walked over with him. Exiting the buildind after he paid the bill. They started to walk down the street a bit and she wrapped her arm in his.
