And actually, it's not that impossible, especially for you wink . We all know you can do it blaugh ! My grandfather was working on cancer... but the cancer got to him first sad . My dad is trying to solve diabetees and heart attacks. I can't wait 'till I can contribute to the world 3nodding . cancer is just the body's way of expiring. things only have a certain amount of shelf life. cancer is also an effect of aging, ie the detiriation of genetic material. to truly "cure" cancer, one would have to "cure" aging. anything else is just protection, prevention, or suppression. not a cure. diabetes and heart disease are usually the result of lifestyle, aren't they? i mean, they aren't diseases that one "catches", or inherits (neccessarily). No offense, cancer really doesn't have a lot to do with aging, and in fact, it doesn't really have anything to do with it; we learned about it in Biology last year. You probably know this already, but for anybody else, "cancer" actually isn't just one disease; there are hundreds, if not more types of cancer that occur in so many different places throughout the body. The term cancer is simply used to describe the growth of abnormal and unregulated cells, that grow much more rapidly then anything else, and are not controlled; for example, the body cannot shut off the growth of the cells. Genetic material isn't necessarily deteriated; it is simply just messed up, for lack of a better word. For example, my biology teacher's mother has had cancer on and off for a long time; nobody knows why, but this gene that keeps producing cancer cells keeps turning on. It also has nothing to do with age- my friend's mother died of breast cancer at a young age. However, all that said, I could try to cure one type of cancer, but I'd really like to find something that would destroy malignant cells only (no radiation), or prevent them from dividing or something. It's been seen that cancer cells can't divide without some sugar, but that's really not a possibility, as the body needs it to survive; it's the basic process in converting ATP to energy, and is mostly theoretical. So, like I said, thanks for the boost of confidence, but I can only dream. sweatdrop And Yoni, they are usually the result of lifestyle, but not always. In any case, it's still worth trying to cure them.

People do need to think about the big picture of things and the future, though. For example, global warming or the lack of oil- people don't realize that one day, the oil is going to run out. Yet nobody does anything about it. Humans are silly like that a lot. rolleyes xp

Humans are silly like that a lot. rolleyes xp lol my mom gets mad at me cause i'm all lets recycle, and lets concerve things stare she's like "you aren't perfect so you can't tell me what to do" so i just try and think quietly to myself about it lol >.> <.< i worry alot about this stuff i have no control over
