Yes: the annoying sterotypes
No: the holidays, being admired by people who want to be asian

I used to hate being Asian. I thought the whole "AZN PRIDE!" thing was seriously stupid. Gosh it was so overrated that every Asian in my school was saying it. stare
...until I came here to the United States. I only had a few Asian friends. But I felt like...you know that stereotype, a "twinkie".
I was Asian on the outside, Caucasian on the inside. I wish I was white instead.
...but ever since starting high school, I am now more proud to be an Asian. I love my culture and heritage now.

Nope, I love being Asian! My first name is my Asian name (Noog Nkauj - Yup, that's also my Gaia username) and of course it's hard to pronounce for non-Asians, non-Hmong people. So I go by my middle name which is Cherish (of which my other nickname "Cherri" is derived from). However, whenever anyone wants to know the pronounciation of my first name I never hesitate to say it (unless the person has asked me for it three million times before and I don't like them). Heck, I said in front of a classroom where I was the only Asian and I wasn't ashamed. I'm Asian, it's how I am so get used to it. Keep the Asian pride alive!
Plus, I like being different. I love my long black hair; it's something only a few of us have at school and even some of those people can be ruled out since they dyed theirs! But my hair's black and will always be so. I may not enjoy being different to a great degree, but the small subtle differences define who I am.
