Aiko_589 Mikagi-sama PS: Thanks to the 20/23 people who voted yes this helps, it really makes me feel better! And to the 3/23 that voted no I don't really care because you probably have good reason like you know these already so! Yeah!! biggrin Thanks all! So you know, not every day or week will I post more kanji up because I am reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally busy and I have little time to do anything. Like sleep! crying Wanna see my schedule? biggrin School- 9:00 am-3:15 pm, school work varies, can be from 1 to 4 hours :O or more. Work- not hired yet but I'll find out soon, if anything though I'm getting A job and I plan to work 15-16 hours a week. Yearbook- Student Life Head, lots of stuff, organizing when to have meetings, and doing the work for the due dates GSA- started by yours truly, we're getting a lot of power for the school but a lot of work, we're planning to add sexual orientation into our SEX.ED curiculum for those taking P.E especially for grade 9. And more is being added. So on top of that, I have lots of stuff and more, so expect every week to 2 weeks to get at least a few to add here. Byes! ahh, well you see most of these people dont know anyhting whatsoever, and so being completely clueless they trust you, obvious no? such as i assume noone here can tell em difference between 見る And 観る Well yeah I guess... neutral but some of these are right, right? And isn't 見る to see 観る to appear or view/look?? I haven't gotten to that kanji yet, sadly, but on the kanji search engine I found it said that just, I didn't have the verb. 観 an appearance a look a spectacle a sight a view an outlook Is that correct? Because if it is and I get around to that I can say it and hopefully they'll get what I mean, hopefully. neutral If not I'll explain it.

Aiko_589 those aren hentai gana wink Technically yes, but I'm simplifying the definition because it is to different to explain manuscript text. The manuscript text hentaigana would be something like さ being written 佐(same sound, but using an irregular character). The Iroha just are "derivitive" kana, but again, its not a distinction people who haven't studied ancient Japanese need to make.

'kay so anyways... there is still that kanji search engine you can look for. It has Jinmeiyou too but you can't be to trusting on it. You should buy some books and stuff too. What I have here is copied out BUT I changed the kanji so that instead of the image, there is an image I took from the search engine that shows the steps and strokes for the kanji. Hope this helps!

well, i would like you to know that i have glanced over this entire thread once, and despite any little flaws here and there, i would like you to know that i see that your heart is in a good place and you want to help others. and i think that's exceptionally admirable.
i took 4 semesters of japanese in college, but my kanji is /falling out of my head liek woah/. out in the workplace, i, of course, don't use it. but i plan to use this thread to help me brush up on my simple kanji skills. like your sig, for instance. i recognize about half the green ones, and the other ones /i should know/, so I'm going to learn them! ganbatte!
thanks for your efforts in making this thread. don't fret too much about your schedule... get done what you can.
glad to meet you.

That sounds like fun. smile I can't wait until I'm in university because then I can take it then (actually what rocks is my school gave me the okay to stay with them but to take Japanese as a class next semester... only thing is is that the only school with it as a class is Gloucester which is really far away.... like if you know Ottawa, my school is..... well I'd say Bayshore Mall but that's faraway from it too.... but yeah across Ottawa so an hour ride and next semester I need 3 of the 4 class because they are my prerequisit for university. What they said is that I can take Japanese at it and get a spare (yay! the only grade 10 who is allowed a spare!) so I can get to that school but I have to take an independent course to get a credit. biggrin 3 years and University in Japanese, I think I will improve! biggrin Thank you and I hope you remember them smile PS TO ALL: Those of you familiar with TUTTLE KANJI CARDS by Alexander Klask may like to know this: There are problems with the cards, Yes I SEE that. I emailed Tuttle Publishing and also I asked them to send an email to mr Klask about the cards. I said they are good but could be better. I asked him and them to revise ALL cards but not only, change ALL readings from Roumaji to kana. To reread and make sure the meanings of the kanji are the ACTUAL meanings, fix any spelling mistakes, and make it easier and better for learning. So long things, kana, easier comprehension with the verbs, make sure the readings actually ARE the readings, and actual meanings. Basically make them easier and better. Like everyone wants so I hope to hear from him (Tuttle and this Lady, Nancy, emailed me and said they gave it to republishing and were going to give it to Mr. Klask. I hope they do it biggrin and I hope it all goes good and the new version of the cards are sent out. So yeah, something interesting to know biggrin
