Sora looked at Larxene's face. "You're not a monster! And...and even if you were! It doesn't matter! You're my friend! You're really nice, you're the first person I met here, you've kept me company. Even though it's been kind of short, I've really enjoyed spending my time with you! So don't talk like that!" Sora thought back...that's it! The book! He pulled the book out of his pocket and held it out to Larxene again. "I promised a friend I'd carry this for her, even though all that stuff kind of freaked me out a bit, I still have it for her. I wouldn't do this for just anyone Larxene."

Sora put the book back in his pocket and held his hand out for her. "Just like you promised we'd be friends, I promise you the same thing. Whatever happened in the past happened in the past, remember? You said that. We're here, we're not going to hurt eachother, whatever happened back then is done now. But now we are friends, and I like it this way better. Don't you?"

User ImageLarxene's ears tipped back in surprise at the sight of the book. He'd picked it up again? After he'd had that reaction to it? She glanced between the book and the person holding it for a moment, eyebrows raising when he put it back in his pocket and extended his hand.

The girl regarded Sora for a long moment. Even though it was possible they'd been enemies in the past - that they might still be enemies - he still wanted to be her friend. A tiny part of her instinctually thought 'Wow, that's just not smart', but fortunately for boh, that part was easily drowned out by the part that was touched by the gesture. She couldn't recall having a friend before. Maybe that was due to the memory she'd lost, maybe it wasn't. In any case, she wasn't ready to let this chance slip through her fingers. Whatever had happened in the past was best left there.

Larxene took his hand firmly. "I like this much better. I'm glad you fell into the library, Sora," she said, smiling sincerely.

Sora smiled as Larxene took his hand. "I like this better too. I'm happy to have run into you Larxene." He looked down at their hands, he was still holding onto hers. Sora quickly let got and laughed and gave a nervous smile.

Things really couldn't make Sora any happier at this point. However, now there was an awkward silence. How could he say anything now? What was there to say? Sora quickly jumped on the first thing that came to mind. "So you like the things in that book?" Quickly he realized that what he said was probably not very appropriate and covered his paws over his mouth. That was STUPID, Sora! Very stupid! He thought to himself as the shock of what he had just said rolled in his mind.

User ImageLarxene looked shocked momentarily by the question, then giggled and blushed a bit. "Why Sora, I thought you were shocked by that book," she chuckled, playing with one of her antennae. "I can't really say I've, erm, tried too many of the things in that book, actually," she said after a moment. "But they do look interesting. Don't you think? I mean ... definitely out of the ordinary." Her gaze drifted down to the pocket where she knew the book was hidden. "I guess some of 'em look kind of painful.."

Sora coughed loudly, nearly choking. "I was! I mean I am, it's just the only thing that came to mind. And there was the silence...and...yeah."

Looking at Larxene, well atleast he wasn't alone in thinking that some of those -things- looks unpleasent. But were they interesting to Sora? Of course, I mean, who wouldn't find that -interesting-? Though, Sora thought Larxene may have been thinking of another kind of interesting than he was. "They were very...eye opening."

User Image"That they are," Larxene chuckled, moving off down the aisle again. "That they are." She smiled coyly at Sora. "If you ever decide to open the book again, I've always thought page 47 looked interesting. You know, if you get over the shock part." Her fingers crackled with lightning again a moment. "Well, maybe not all of the shock," she giggled. "Just the bad kind."

"So then, right or left?" she asked, reaching the end of the aisle.

"47...I'll have to remember that." Sora thought for a moment. "I just said that outloud didn't I?" He laughed at himself. "And I don't think there really is a bad kind of shock...just the fun kind. Everything shocking is fun in some way." He smiled innocently. However, if this one was really innocent or not, even Sora didn't know.

"Umm..." Sora looked down each direction. "Well, everyone always goes down the 'right' path. Lets go left!"

User ImageLarxene snickered a bit. "Well, I'm glad to know I'm fun in some way," she chuckled, turning off to the left. "And that you're not always interested in doing the 'right thing'." The girl continued giggling at her little joke.

"I wonder if there are any books in here about this place? I never thought to look for them, but there could be, right? Books aobut the building, or maybe maps or something?"

"You're fun in a lot of ways Larxene!" Sora blurted this out as Larxene turned the corner, he followed close behind her. "Sometimes the right thing to do isn't the best thing to do." Smiling as she giggled he walked faster to catch up with her. "Did I mention you're really hard to keep up with?"

Sora thought ... "Books about this place? Umm...we should check all the way in the back. That's usually where all the really good stuff is at. We might find something like that there."
PostPosted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 3:20 pm

User ImageLarxene nodded. "The way-back sounds good. Even if they don't have anything on this place back there, they might have some other interesting stuff. If I was going to hide something valuable, that's where I'd put it."

She turned to head in th at direction, tail swishing as she walked. The girl blushed a little. "Yeah, I can walk a bit fast, I guess. I've always moved around pretty quickly, I think. I mean from what I remember. It just feels natural to move around really quickly. I get this great breeze under my robe... um ... forget I said that part, 'kay?"

"Treasure hunting! Woo!" Sora's steps grew louder and more prideful. "I was friends with a pirate once, and we tracked down treasure together. So this should be fun! ... ... But the pirate always called me Zola, please don't call me Zola?"

Trying to keep up with Larxene was hard for Sora...especially with his shoes. Yeesh these were weird shoes to walk in. "A bit fast? I can barely keep pace with you Larxene." His face turned red at her last comment. "Right...forgetting that..."
PostPosted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 4:55 pm

User ImageLarxene tilted her head slightly. "A pirate? A for-real pirate? Really?" The girl gave a 'huh'. "You certainly seem to have met some unusal people in your time."

She made an effort to walk a little more slowly as she heard him shuffling beside her. "How is it that you got started on this adventure of yours? D'you come from somewhere with pirates or was that one of the other worlds?" Larxene still hadn't quite decided whether or not she believed all of his stories, but they were interesting at the very least.

"Yup! A for real-life pirate! I've met some pretty weird people too. And some really great people." Sora smiled at Larxene. An obvious hint.

"How did it start?" Sora thought for a minute. "Well I was with my friends, and then everything got black, and I got attacked by this giant gooey shadow thing. That's when I got my first keyblade." His ears twitched and tail swished quickly. "I traveled to many different worlds, in my own world I've never seen a pirate. But on all those other worlds...I saw EVERYTHING! Witches, wizards, talking animals, everything you could ever imagine...well maybe not everything."

User Image"Probably not," Larxene chuckled. "I can imagine quite a bit. I've never met a pirate, though. Read about them a bit but never met one."

She cast a little sidelong glance at Sora, smiling at his excitement again. He seemed to have an unending supply of that. It was fascinating to the girl how his enthusiasm for everything seemed to be contagious, too. She wasn't entirely sure that, if he left, she wouldn't just look back on their time together as temporary insanity on her part. More than that, though, she found herself hoping he just wouldn't leave when she thought of that. Odd.

"Talking animals? Really?" Her nose twitched a little. "How strange. So, what was the world where you met the other people with these like?" she asked, swishing her coat a little.

"Yup! I traveled around with two of them. A duck and a..." Sora paused and thought about it. "Come to think of it I never really asked what he was. He kinda looked like a dog. But he didn't act like a dog." Sora's tail swirled around behind him. "There were also the chipmunks who were our navigators and ship engineers, the King and Queen who were mice, and...OH! That friend I was talking about when I first came here, he's a bear. Not a real bear, he's a plushie bear." Sora nodded to back up his statements.

Sora was smiling brightly. Larxene seemed to be enjoying the tales of his adventures, with pride at an all time high Sora continued his story. "Oh there were lots of worlds! There was one where we were under water and I had a shark tail so I could move around, there was the world that was in the past and it was all black and white, the one where I was a lion cub, two worlds with pirates, too many castles to count, and so many others!"
