Realistically?
He would sort of complicate his reasons. Mainly, I can see him bringing up the point of him trying to restore his clan. However, that isn't to say that he wouldn't love her. He just wouldn't show it so outwardly. Sasuke isn't really an open book, but I'm sure Sakura will understand him enough to see that he cares for her. You know, he's probably the type of person who does the smallest things to shows that he cares.

*cough* Anyways...you're probably right. It doesn't seem very Sasuke-ish to just say "I love you!" out in the open. I think he would let Sakura know that he really DOES care, but not in an oh-so-obvious way.
