I am sorry to say, I haven't gone to a summer camp in a LONG time.
I'm thinking of trying that NFTY one, though. What does that region stand for? North east...something? sweatdrop

My cousin went to a cool camp and they had this really cool theme it was something like this:

Walking down the street outside, knowing who I am inside,
I have nothing to hide, so I shout with pride:
I'M A JEW, I'M A JEW, AND I'M PROUD TO BE ONE TOO!

I can't remember the rest sweatdrop But it had a really cool tune to it 3nodding
You should hear the ones we have at my camp... They're almost embaressingly cool.
one of ours is basicly shouting the camp name to "the eye of the tiger" intro.

and then we have the alma matters, which are awesome, and one of the division heads makes up a song on the last day making fun of whatever happened that year (for example: after the 9 days, all the laundry from 5 camps got mixed up, and for the rest of cap the gym was full of clothing to be claimed. so he made a lundry song. i almost died, it was so funny. i was crying with laughter.)

Kisho, I don't know how old you actually are, but you're never too old for camp. One of my staff at my CIT program last summer was on her 18th summer. She was 25. Our camp director is a former camper who just couldn't leave, as is the assistant director. I plan on working at camp until I'm working in the real world, longer if possible. And then you get paid for it!

I'm going to be a counselour for a camp in the USA for jewish kids that are trying to discover their identity. The flight and food will all be free instead of payment for comming as a counselour. I don't mind, I'd actually pay to be able to go xd domokun . I love camp heart

Yea, Nathan, my program this summer is visiting Jewish camps up and down the East Coast for Shabbat. Find out the name of your camp and I'll tell you if I'll be there.

Erm... Doubt it, though I'm not sure which federation you're talking about. We're a JCC-affiliated camp, which translates to being somewhere between Reform and Conservative in terms of observance. We're going to a Reform camp, another JCC camp, I think one Reconstructionist camp, and on my birthday we'll be at the Ramah my family doesn't go to.

I'm babysitting right now, don't have access to my info for the program. I'll check and let you know later. I know Ramah Poconos is on the list, but that's because that's where we'll be for my birthday, when we should be going to Ramah New England because my brother and two cousins will be there and that'd be awesome.

Camp Wise FINALLY knocked down their Noar showerhouse and built bathrooms into the cabins. Thank God. If I had to go into those disgusting, five-showers-for-55-girls, showerhouses again, I would have to slap Jodi, the director.

Showerhouses aren't so bad. I had one this summer- 3 showers for 19 of us, and the guys were on the other side of a really flimsy partition. You could hear them singing. And then they'd bang on the partition.
