We change in front of each other all the time. Never past just shorts and a shirt, but we joke around all the time. The brass always shouts USA and MILF at the games. USA meaning U Suck a** and MILF...I shouldn't have to explain. XD

Speaking of nudity on the bus -
Whenever somebody asks you how it is to be in band and how naughty everybody is, the only thing I can think to tell them is: "When you're getting back on the bus from a long marching festival after staying in your uniform the whole time when it's a hundred degrees outside and even hotter in the uniforms, when you get back on that bus, you disregard all sense of privacy and modesty and the only thing you can think of is getting those uniform pants OFF.
P.S. - I saw my drum major's purple and white striped panties one time!

My high school marching band, for the four years I was in it, did not compete, so there rarely was any need to change in a bus.
However, the Pantsless Revolution was commonplace in our band room after home game performances. Ah, the joy of a lack of pants.

The best was when a quad player busted into the tuba r00m, and came out blowing into a baritone with his shirt off, I think.

We don't play at away games so we only have to worry about home games and invitationals. (That's just a fancy word for competition, in case someone doesn't know that...) Anyway... home games we just all get dressed in the choir/band room. Most of us in the choir room because that's where the uniforms are stored. And we don't gotta worry about nekkid-ness because it's required that the band wears their band t-shirts. It's part of the uniform and we get docked letter points and grade points if we don't wear it. And the bottoms... some of the guys just wear their boxers I guess... most everyone else just wears shorts or sweatpants I guess.
As for the colorguard, the uniform changes with every season so we never know what to expect from them and I'm not in color guard so I don't really pay attention.

We usually have some change outside of the bus near the tarps where we put our instruments and the trailer, or inside of the bus. Of course there are those who change in the bathroom, but I always change outside. It's smelly on the bus because people spray their own personal perfumes, and it mixes to create horrid smells. And it's squished there too. I end up wearing shorts, and a long sleeved tee (short sleeve if it's early in the season), so I don't have to change with everyone else. With 230 or so members in the band and colorguard, changing on the bus is NOT the brightest thing to do. Too many people crowded in each one.

our band always gets naked on the bus together. when the bus stops we just stand up, strip, (check out your crush/boy/girlfriend) and get your uniform on as fast as you can.

During marching season for our band, we are usually always late to the bus or by some odd horrible fate the bus is locked when we get there. So for our band it's usually just a mob of people overcrowding onto the bus, stripping, recking havoc, running around half naked, and people looking for clothes, shoes, instruments, etc.... Then everyone rushes back off...

Chocolate Craving Edit: Oops, I didn't see the other tradition thread, so let's alter this one a little bit... Yeah, my band has some awesome traditions. One involves that seniors go commando underneath their uniforms for their last field tournament. Last time, my junior year, it was raining outside, and we usually change on mats outside of the bus. But, since it was raining, we had to change on the bus, and our chaperones could give a crap if boys are with girls and so on. So there we all are changing on one of the busses together with a temporary little barricade between the two halves, when someone on the girls' side trips and pulls the barricade down with her. Complete silence. Everybody is frozen, eyes staring anywhere but at each other, faces like eek , as one person slowly puts the barricade back up... Another one involves having certain themes for our Tuesday Night Rehearsals. Such themes like: Glitter Night, Goth Night, etc... So, one question to go with my entertaining story: 1) I really need some ideas for TNR themes. Any suggestion is welcome. One night we even had Pimp and Ho Night. sweatdrop We have themes for our rehearsals too. Except... we only have one... "band nerd", and it's every rehearsal. Lol. Seriously, though, that sounds cool.

Well, our jazz band has adopted the song Big Brass Band Boogie as our closing tune, no matter what. I've even figured out how to play it from hearing it so much.
