"Ah, well..." Reira shifted so that she could work in front of herself more easilly. "I don't know where to start... I haven't seen a castle besides the ones in my books and I don't know how to build one!" Despite the challenge, Reira was already shaping a large mound in the sand. "What do you think? If we start with this..."

Tiki Jim chuckled. "I don't think it matters if it looks just like one or not. I think the point is to have fun and be creative!" he then picked up the bucket and began to fill it with sand. "This can make a nice tower!"

"I'll do okay, then!" Reira replied, laughing. She watched Tiki Jim for a moment, examining the shape of the bucket and how he filled it. "Oh! I see... It will make a nice tower!" Glancing around for some sort of inpiration, she spotted some small branches and leaves scattered around the beach. Picking up a nearby twig with a leaf still attached, she twirled it around in her hand. "And this can be a flag!"
"What else do you do when you're not surfing or at the beach?" Reira asked Tiki Jim politely as the two worked on the sand castle.

"That's a great flag!" Tiki Jim smiled and then put his bucket on the ground. The sand came out with a, "Poof" but stayed in the tower like shape. Tiki Jim pointed to the top. "The flag goes there!"
Tiki Jim then began to make a moat. "Oh, well I like to hang out at my Hula Grandaddy's bar. It's a nice place. My family is there often." He then pointed over to it.

Reira continued to watch with interest, working on another part of the castle at the same time. She jumped a bit as Tiki Jim told her where the flag went, but she agreed that it belonged at the top of the tower and carefully stuck it in it's spot. "What are you doing?" she interrupted, curious as to why he was digging a big circle right around their castle. Immediately after, though, she followed his extended arm to where he pointed at and saw the bar. It did look like a nice place to her.

Tiki Jim looked up with a smile. "This is a moat. It goes around the castle so nothing can get in! Well, nothing bad." He didn't mean the kingdom people couldn't get in. That would be silly.
Tiki Jim bounced up and went over the the water and filled his bucket. He then bounced back and put the water in the moat.

"Oh..." Reira responded, examining the moat more closely. Now that she thought about it, she had seen something like it in one of her books. As the water filled the moat, some of it seeping back into the sand, she moved to look at the castle from the front. "But what about the King and Queen and Prince and Princess? They need a bridge to get home..." Picking up a few more of the sticks, Reira fashioned a small wooden bridge across the moat. "There!" she proudly proclaimed.

Tiki Jim nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea. Now we new crockodillies for the moat... I guess they are too big." Tiki Jim laughed. He then ran over to the bar and came back with a plushie. "This is Rainbow my mom's and Jet's plushie. She can be the queen." He chuckled as she was a bit too big for the castle.

"Those are scary, even if they do keep the bad people out of the castle!" Reira exclaimed, clearly opposed to the 'crockodillies'. She waited patiently for Tiki Jim to return with the castle's queen. "I like her!" Reira responded, laughing when she noticed that the plushie was almost as large as the tower. Then a thought struck her. "Oh! I want to be the princess, then!" If a plushie could be the queen, then she saw no reason that she could not at least be the princess.

Tiki Jim nodded. "I guess they are a bit." He smiled as he placed the Queen near the tower. He then made a bit more of the castle. So, that she would have somewhere to rule. "Sure, you can be!" He winked at Reira.

((I'm preparing to go out of town for about a week, so the same goes for me... sweatdrop ))
"Yay!" Reira once again exclaimed, pretending that she was some beautiful and enviable princess with a sparkling gold tiara. She was no exception to the idea that every little girl wants to be a princess. "You can live in the castle, too! You could be a prince if you want." With a nod, Reira began mapping out her royal life. "This would be my room, where I can see the ocean from, and get lots of sunlight!" She pointed to the top of the tower, giggling from pure enjoyment. "And I'd always have people come over and play!"

Tiki Jim giggled. "I think I'd rather be a knight! That way I can fight and protect the Queen and Princess!" He stood up and pretended to hold up a sword. Tiki Jim smiled and bowed to Reira and the plushie as they were the queen and princess.
((Okay have fun. Just write back when ya can. wink ))

"Oh, of course!" Reira replied, amending her imaginary world to include Tiki Jim and his declared role. "The honorable Sir Tiki Jim! How could I forget? He defends the castle, and slays dragons, and is a wonderful friend of the queen and princess!" Giggling still, she tilted her head politely to the 'knight.' "And he is always welcome in the castle, of course! Especially when there are big meals and dances!"

Tiki Jim chuckled. "Oh yeah? Big meals and dances? My mom plays drums with the band 'Jazz and the Beach Bums'. Dancing is kinda fun. Hula Grandaddy does the hula alot." He nodded to her and shook his hips a bit.
"Sir Tiki Jim defending the fair madens with love!" He said as he pretnted to swing his sword at a dragon.
