Mie-tanuki Kon nodded. That seemed fair, that the other should stay and watch in exchange for his leading the hopeless blonde to his work place. "Well, Kon does make-up and hair and things... things to change the way people look. Sometimes Kon does clothes and other things, too, but mostly just on the people themselves." The boy was a little afraid of stumbling again and ending up hurting the other as well, but he didn't seem in any immidiate danger of doing that as long as he watched where he was going. "Wow. I always wished I could do something artistic like that but my parents said that it was a waste of my time and wanted me to become a doctor or something like that." He shrugged slightly and added " I was never really interested in anyhting else, but my parent's wish was their command...I had no choice. It's not so bad ,really, once you get used to it." He continused guiding the blonde through the streets. "Almost there- the salon is just around the corner." He looked over and gave him a comforting smile. " You're name is Kon, right?"

Kon thought back to his parents, his expression becoming saddened and a little nervous. He didn't want the other to pity him because he didn't have parents - it always made him feel even more alone. "Kon's parents never wanted Kon to do make-up, but Kon still does it," he said with a shrug, trying his best to cover up his aggitation and sadness with a smile. Kon looked up from where his eyes had been fixed on his feet and nodded. "Yes. Kon is Kon."

Mie-tanuki Kon thought back to his parents, his expression becoming saddened and a little nervous. He didn't want the other to pity him because he didn't have parents - it always made him feel even more alone. "Kon's parents never wanted Kon to do make-up, but Kon still does it," he said with a shrug, trying his best to cover up his aggitation and sadness with a smile. Kon looked up from where his eyes had been fixed on his feet and nodded. "Yes. Kon is Kon." Ryu gently laughed. "You must be strong...to do what you really want to do; not worry about what anyone else cares about it. I wish I could do that..." He smiled a sad smile, but quickly changed it to a happy one to hide the depression he felt. "I never really knew my parents much growing up- the only time they made themselves present was to chastize me or restrict me..." He quickly shrugged it off. "Oh well- I guess I turned out fine despite it." He led Kon around the corner and gave him a gentle tug in the direction of the salon. "Just two more blocks this way and we're there." Ryu said with a smile.

Kon nodded, listening intently. "Maybe you should do something for you, then," he said, shrugging slightly and looking a little thoughtful. He didn't feel particularly strong or brave - he had just never been able to ignore to lure of the human's world. His curiosity was too great. "Kon won't tell your parents," he said, giving the other a bright smile, the topic of his own parents pushed from his own mind.

Ryu smiled brightly for the first time in a ver long time. "You're right...I should do something for me. Maybe I will go into something artistic..."He shrugged slightly "I dunno yet...Maybe I'll even go into make-up like I had dreamed about so many years ago" His eyes got a misty, dream-like quality as he reminised. He came-to almost immediately, though and the happy sparkle returned. "Thanks...for inspiring me..."

Kon shook his head, smiling. "No problem. Kon hasn't done anything except fall yet," he said, a small grin on his rosy lips. He liked the new sparkle in the other's eyes and decided that, if he could, he would try and bring those out more often. They suited Ryu, after all, and it did seem the man was happy when that happened. "But if you want to do make-up, maybe Kon could show you how."

Ryu looked estatic and felt happier than he ever remembered feeling. "That would be great!" His smile grew, showing off his straight white teeth. "Would you really...?"

They reached the salon - finally - and as Kon opened the door to enter, he was tackled by a tall girl with extremely long, dark-ish pink hair with crimson tips. She secured her arms around the boy's neck and began to lecture him on punctuality, occasionally switching topic to say just how busy they were and how he should get there early and that she worried when he wasn't there. Kon, looking a little nervous said, "Hai, hai... Kon will do better next time. But the road was closed and Kon got lost..."

He found himself becoming very attatched to Kon- but he refused to let it get him down. Today was special. Today was the day to live out his dreams. Right now, he tried to ease the...pressure...in the air and smiled softly as he said "And he's here now, right?"

Kon nodded fervently, wincing slightly as the girl pulled him into another bone-crushing hug. "Nah... Rina... let go... please? Kon can't breath..." he managed to mumble through her death grip. She instantly losened her arms from around him and placed her hands on her hips instead.
"Mmm, but you're too cute, you know that? Maybe you should wear a fake beard so you won't get molested by random strangers. Then you'll be mine," she said, winking at him and blowing a kiss.
Kon mumbled something under his breath about not wanting facial hair or Rina, anyway, his face slightly pink. He was never any good in these situations and she knew it. "An... anyway... Kon got lost and he helped," he said, pointing to Ryu. He couldn't even remember the other's name, if he had ever been told. His memory wasn't exactly ideal. "And... and he wants to learn make-up... So Kon thinks that after work Kon will teach him," he said, beaming.

Ryu breathed an inward sigh of relief- even though it was clear this strange girl was in love with Kon, it didn't seem Kon shared the same sentiments. "I hope that the teaching session is all right with you."

Rina shrugged. "I really don't mind. I'll have work myself, you know. I have a full day today," she grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest and looking irritable. It was obvious that sh wanted the day off to be with the young boy beside her. "Anyway, time to get to work! Kon, your first client should be here in fifteen minutes, but it's Ms. Sluzaya and she's always early, so you'd better be quick!"
Kon nodded and trotted in after his pink-haired friend. He did seemed to get ready quickly - he was always very neat at the end of the day and so there wasn't mush to prepare. As predicted, the client arrived early. Kon got through three more clients, almost completely back-to-back, all of whom seemed to be regulars. After that it was break time and the day off for the blond, although Rina had to return to work after her lunch.
Kon finished cleaning everything at his station up and then looked over at Ryu, smiling. "Done. Kon doesn't have a lunch today, so would you like to eat out for lunch?" Rina looked even grumpier at this - she didn't have time to leave the salon and eat with them today and was halfway throug a speedily made salad-sandwich.

((yay- you are on! blaugh oh- don't worry about the thread- It's kinda confusing...I am more or less advertizing cuz i told her i would and she's kinda new sweatdrop )) Ryu beamed. "That would be great! Anything in particular that you are in the mood for?" Ryu tried to ignore the pink-haired girl's obvious displeasure- He didn't really care... He was just so happy to be able to spend some more time with the handsome blonde. "I know of some good places to get lunch..."

"You can pick then. Kon doesn't usually eat kunch but Kon has to today because Kon forgot to go grocery shopping yesterday so there's no food," he explained, smiling. He said his farewells to his friends at the salon and then they departed. "Nah, so, where would you like to go? Ano... Kon... Kon can;t remember you're name," he said, flushing brightly from embarrassment. "Kon... Kon isn't good with names or memory in general," he murmured, looking apologetic, his blue eyes gazing up at the other.
((Yup. <3 I'll stay on for as long as I can, but it's already 10PM here and I have school tomorrow. Dx))
