Saberstryke draws his swords. "Wildcat, now is the time to fight."
"No, it isn't!" Batrias roars. "It's time for you all to die!"

eek "sounds like a pretty high stakes game."
"Sir... Uh... Are...are you asking me to.....To kill you or something? 'Cause that's what it sounds like."
This was on another level beyond what she was expecting. The kind of situation that lead to a possible death jerked her compassion. A sick suspicion stirred and her hands shook like a snake tail.
She stilled herself and screwed up the courage to look him strait in the face.

damagedude Saberstryke draws his swords. "Wildcat, now is the time to fight." "No, it isn't!" Batrias roars. "It's time for you all to die!" Dani snaps the hilts of her swords together, spining them once in her hand. An unnatural heat starts around her, spreading slowly and causeing a slight haze from a heat that no normal human should be able to stand.

Saberstryke sees the beginnings of the vortex behind Batrias. "Ah, yes, the final solution that solves nothing." He says.
Batrias plants his thick sword in the ground and claps his palms together. A circle of white energy forms in front of him...

"Play to kill!" Batrias shouts at Chamoka. "Kill to play! It has always been this way!"

damagedude Saberstryke sees the beginnings of the vortex behind Batrias. "Ah, yes, the final solution that solves nothing." He says. Batrias plants his thick sword in the ground and claps his palms together. A circle of white energy forms in front of him... Dani swings her blades behing her, lightning and flames gathering behind her. Her mask falls over her face as her feet sink slightly into the pavement. Then, he vaults into the air.

"Whoa!" eek She flinched back, "I don't know how y'all do anythin' down here but back where I come from killin's bad! talk2hand Don't know whacha goin' through. At least give me a little more background! Oh and cut the cryptic please I'm a simple girl."
She was now boldly staring him in the face. She'd met suicidal people before and ten to one they were just crybabies.

Batrias felt the force of the attack hit him in the chest. He knew, in that ineluctable moment, that he was going into the past only to come back again, as he always had. How many times could he do it? He didn't know. He saw, out of the corner of his eye, Saberstryke following him through.

Batrias produced a sword and thrust into Chamoka's hands. "Play!" He shouted, then ran himself upon the sword. As his blood spilled out his stomach, he saw what he expected to see- a large, black shape coming through the portal that had not yet closed.
"Finally, it ends. Talpa arrives."

How many times could he do it? He didn't know. He saw, out of the corner of his eye, Saberstryke following him through. Then something happened that had never before occured. The attack sent Batrias sprawling, but this time, unlike every other time, Dani followed through the attack to fall in with him.

She was caught in the eyes of the man as he rushed upon the sword.
There was just time to see it, no time to do anything about it. The hilt carelessly slipped from her now blood slimed fingers. The clang of it hitting concrete was distant in the wide space of her shock and confusion.
At first she could only gasp at what he had done.
scream "pull yourself together! There's a man dying at your feet!"
That's all the thought she needed.
stressed "Stupid!"
She didn't quite catch all that he was muttering... something about the end. She found it more important to focus on his bleeding gut, than his mumbling mouth.
"Maybe this cloak will work." She worked to get the man's mantel off so she could perhaps try to tie the wound.
"Thank heaven for farmwork accidents.... I'd never know how to do this!"
Then once again, as right before this man, she shivered. The world intensified and she felt a shifting clamminess. Awareness filled her senses of feel, sight, and smell.
She instinctively hissed in a brattled way.
"Whoever....you are.... Get away!" she felt herself growl.

The portal closed. Talpa had arrived.

Batrias clamped onto Chamoka's hand. "Don't...save, me. I don't...want..."
But, before he could finish his sentence, his eyes rolled back in his head and he fell into unconsciousness.

A hot sensation spread down her face in a line
"How can you ask me something like that!?!" she said angrily.

Dani had disapeared into the portal, but another warrior was there to watch Talpa's arrival. A young woman with messy black hair, tall and thin, his simmilarity to Dani was almost uncanny.
She was Shoni, the daughter of the Wildcat Korin and Sage Date. She had inherited her father's armor, the armor of Nimbus. Dani's armor, unknown to the other of Wildcat blood, had called to Shoni and the other Ronin had come. Now Dani was gone, but Shoni remained.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a cell phone rang unexpectedly. It's owner, too busy to notice, was getting on Lynn's nerves. She'd been trying to get through for almost an hour, and finally, her chance to use the local payphone came. Lynn was obviously not anywhere near the portal or any immediate danger.

This was hardly the time for her cell phone to ring.

"Cell phone! I thought I left that in my Suitcase!"
She looked at the bleeding man in front of her.
scream "I don't have time for this!....wait.....DUH! I can call for help! "
Her bloody hand jammed into her pocket and yanked out the phone.
"Moshi Moshi! There's been an accident I need help! Pronto!"

"Finally, Chamoka! What took ya?" Lynn shouted into the receiver. "Say what? Accident? Gotcha." She turned around and yelled at her boss. "Hey! Get someone to take my post for a while. I'm needed at an...uh...emergency!" After she was finished yelling her lungs out, she jumped out the second story window and landed in a nearby tree. "Accident, eh? I wonder what it could be this time. Maybe Chamoka's finger got trapped in a drain pipe again..." Lynn slid down the tree, getting a nasty sliver as she did. "Ow..." she squeaked. She looked up and saw a Taxi parked near the end of the block. "Hey! You! Yeah, you! Taxi driver! Wait up! Hey...don't leave...I...need...a ride..." Lynn's eyes started watering because that idiot Taxi driver took off as soon as he saw her coming. "Bah! Who needs a Taxi when you've got feet!" Lynn took off running in the general direction of the trouble.
