Kitsune_rei Oh yeah, before I forget, two quick questions~ Why when talking about skill advancement do they sometimes say to save like 10 points and spend them all at once? What difference does it make? And aren't you supossed to get 3 skill points when you get your first job? My warrior only got one and I couldn't remember. It's because most skills, at level 10, the mana cost doubles, and you wont shoot or whatever you do any better (well you do, but you wont notice the difference). You get one skill point when you are level 10, I think. The same at level 30, when you do job adv.

EskiaMS Kitsune_rei So its so they know everyone is in position? Is it hard to get all the puzzles done in time? The last couple seem like they could take a while in particular. I'd kinda want to do the first time with friends in case I screw up nobody will be mad sweatdrop I think my friend iRain would probably also be intersted in a PQ though I'm not sure if she really knows what all is involved. No, only one party can be in party quest at one time in one channel. Keeping a track of the other party gives you a rough estimate of when you should start clicking to get back in. The saving 10 points is generally to save the amount of mp pots that you use ^^;;. Sometimes it's not worth it to put more into a skill if it doubles the mp cost until it makes a significant increase. You only get 1 point at job change so there's nothing wrong there ^^;;; Okay now I understand things! 3nodding I hadn't realized only one party can go at a time, ouch if it takes each a half hour then that sucks waiting if only 20 parties can go in at once, with the number of people wanting to PQ it'd be next to impossible to get it together and get in when you want to. I didn't even notice when MP cost went up, whoops sweatdrop Ah well. I had all those lemons from that one quest so it wasn't a huge deal. I can deal with waiting for my MP to regenerate more than say a mage probably could.

Woo, feeling rather exhausted even though I had yesturday off...
Plans for Mapling- hang near Perion fighting boars and stumps until I run out of arrows (I have maybe 2k left? Been a while since I made more, I left before with over 9k), and then scroll back to Henesys, then go over to Sleepywood and see how long it takes in Ant Tunnel or surrounding areas until I have to run for my life. It quite possible I'll get diverted depending who else is on and what they want to do, or if I meet a random stranger and get involved with them. Hmm, what level are you supposed to be to go to Florina Beach or whatever, from Lith Harbor?

You talk to the guy inbetween the shark and the octopus to go.

Had another good Mapling night last night. Met up with Emi, who got her bf to play so we spent some time leveling him to 8 so he could be a mage 3nodding Got all the boar tusks I needed for the quest. After hanging out with them for a while wandered towards Sleeywood and spent a bit of time exploring around there. I'm starting to get familiar with more places around MS though there are still some I don't know where they are. Wasn't really watching my exp but I made it up to about 70% so that made me happy, I was thinking it was going to take longer but probably those fire boars helped. Maybe I'll be able to level tonight after work 3nodding I plan on continuing to wander around Sleepywood and hunt some horny mushies. Also found my first scroll drop, from a lil shroom no less- a 60% cape HP scroll. xd Also had a fair number of ore drops, though no items.

Last night was more of a fun night than productive 3nodding Started out wandering around Sleepywood, found an area with some curse eyes and killed a couple but overall the area was too hard so I left, I need to be killing those jr neckis more consistantly to go back. Popped in the Ant Tunnel and was only there a short time when Emi came by on her way to Jr. Balrog. She invited me to come watch so I agreed. Nothing like a guided tour by a cleric! xd I hadn't explored there at all so it was fun being able to see it without (too much) fear of dying. We got hung up in the Sanctuary since we couldn't get past the Tauros, so had been hearing about the stuff going on in Ellenia ch. 17 so just scrolled over there to check it out. It was pretty weird, I wonder how it all started! I think it began as a rumor and just more and more people heard about it from friends on the buddy chat so they had nothing better to do so went to check it out. Ellinia was pretty packed but the area with the ship was an absolute mob scene. I lagged to death and finally escaped after taking some screenshots. I was amused that the scrolling admin message did little to change things. Started heading back towards Henesys and logged off for the night there. Didn't get my level, but still got a wee bit closer.

Yeah, sorry I couldn't help you in the Tauros, but it would be pointless. I could probably get you past sanctuary 1 and 2, but I can't handle Spears on my own. If either of you gets touched even once by a spear (or a macis for that mater) you'd die. sad
The only way low levels could pass through that area is. Warrios can tank their way though Tauros spamming pots Magicians can use magic guard to cut a lot of hp damage Bowman have to wait until they get 800+ hp then spam pots Thieves use Darksight (watch out for Tauro Thunder) So if you don't meet any of those requirements, then you can't pass. sweatdrop

AH well it was still fun being there 3nodding Got my level! Whee 27. 3 more till 30...
I think I saw a GM! I was in the Ant Tunnel right near the entrance on channel 12 when I noticed someone flash by over my head. First it clicked they had spikey white hair and sunglasses and equips you can't get yet. Then I saw the name PanLidBoy, and after reflection I remembered they were listed as a newer GM! I wish I hadn't been busy fighting and did a quick screencap, he only appeared jumping over my head for like a second or two he moved very fast. But by the time it computed it was too late sweatdrop Ah well they are among us!
Going to play a bit more though I don't have a specific goal right now other than making lvl 30. I got enough items to finish up Jane's boar quest adn the other quests I can't kill the stuff well enough for any of the other ones. I can't really bring myself to try any of the jump quests again though I have the 3 opened up.

That would be a gm *envious* I've never seen one... GMs always have maxed haste on so they move really fast. sweatdrop They also have a special "Maple Bless" skill that gives you +100 to EACH stat... stare

I've decided to just consider it an omen of good luck. 3nodding Well I figure its part of their job to get around everywhere well, I mean every channel is a whole world, so they must have like infinate scrolls too. Probably with my slower speed and his haste that's why he only appeared for a second, he was just in the air above me, I bet GMs could be going by and you may not even see them sometimes so you wouldn't know it, and they probably prefer to move unseen since people are usually like OMG GM!!!!. Also what good would they if they went to help someone and got killed? I bet they have awesome items too which is why they can't trade, so nobody can succumb to temptation. I think someone else mentioned seeing him on not long after I saw him.

Well I did see panlidboy before you got into PQ the first time with my gf... ^^;;; I guess he was patrolling that night 3nodding He came and then I guess he used GM invisible or something... In ragnarok online, I'm pretty sure a gm could just type in something like @warp (mapname) and they'd be there. Maybe the Maple Gms have the same thing?

I can't even imagine what its like to be a GM for a MMORPG, its pretty crazy just being a forum mod.
Got to party quest for the first time late last night, whee! Was fun. Man its hard to get in one. We managed to quick get back in more than once so that was cool. Got some items though my rewards weren't that great, got some elixirs, some aquamarine, and something else in the item category. One of other players gave me their green bamboo hat so that was really cool of them heart I'd been kinda meaning to get one buy I didn't want to buy it in hopes I'd be able to just get one. Didn't find a whole lot though I did find an axe I'm going to pass to my warrior. Finally scooted off to bed at about 6am. Would be cool to do it again with friends but would be afraid to do it with other strangers since I don't have track and I'm not the greatest jumper (I have some trouble staying on the barrels), and it takes me a bit to kill the gators. I feel so weak next to warriors! But I did get up to 50% in exp so that was awesome, I was thinking it'd take forever to get it built up for next level. I got about 10% before fighting in the Ant Tunnel. I still need to get some Stirge Wings and a bunch of Jr. Necki skins for the one quest, the Stirges I can bring down okay but there's usually harder stuff around them, but the Neckis I still can't hit consistantly enough to get many at a time. Someone was selling a White Piettra top for 80k but I really want to get the red viper bow first since I think that's going to be more difficult and expensive. I don't get much in good drops so I dont' have a whole lot to barter with and I still don't have enough in pure mesos though I try to keep saving. Its probably going to be even harder finding a seller, and I'm not sure of the bow's approximate value even.

Let's see, last night... was fairly productive. Helped Emi level some characters a bit so she could get more cakes because she is a CAKE FIEND. Makes me wonder what they're going for, I'd like to get a full set just because they're so pretty but its not worth it to me to keep making characters to do it with. I have the chocolate and cheesecake from my two. Spent a lot of time in the subway fighting slimes and neckis, I've been trying to get more necki skins but its more annoying to try to kill them around Sleepywood and the subway is nice and level with more platforms to shoot from. Got a little lost and confused at one point when I wandered into the area with wraiths and a nice mage led me back out 3nodding I hadn't realized at first those signal things warp you, then it took me a bit to get the hang of it. I also wasn't standing in the right place to go through a door so I thought I was stuck there, I have that problem sometimes. I finished up a couple quests, Jane and the Wild Boar one, and two more of Nella's (after throttling her lots) so now I'm up to the 200 evil eye tail one (yeah not going to get to that one for a while, I can't even hurt curse eyes that well.) If I get those 100 jr. necki skins I can finish up the quest for the soldier but that will probably take me a while too (did anyone have any spares?) Got up to about 80-85% experience with my bowman so should reach lvl 28 pretty soon! Worked on my warrior a bit more, dang do they have massive hp regeneration skills! I was just thinking with my bowman I wish the amount of hp you regenerate went up with level because by higher levels you'd have to stand there for like an hour to get everything back and have to rely on pots much more. Oh yes and that drop I glanced at and though was an axe upon examination is a lvl 30 polearm! Rock! That so got transferred to my warrior. I really do want to make a spearman because I'd like a character with a party ability. I dont' know if I should go with spears or polearms though- is there really a difference? Are either of them harder to get than the other at later levels? Was cleaning out inventory a bit with my bowman, I usually like to drop stuff around Henesys, so was dropping crossbow arrows for people I saw with them, and some feathers and stuff. Had a thief beg me for thief items which of course I didn't have but he seemed convinced I did, I just game him a lemon and ran away xd I want to get some more party questing in before I hit 30, so if anyone is doing it let me know! I feel kinda useless though, I don't have ac or track or anything, and it takes me a while to kill the litigators and such... yeah I'm not the most useful crying I hope they eventually make a different pq for higher level characters or something, it kinda sucks you can only do it during a certain level window and its difficult to get in.

I'll help you on that Evil Eye Tails thing tonight if I'm not busy. (I think my friend is planning to go to Hot Sands sweatdrop ) Also: Spears: More damage for thrusting. Slightly faster attacks. Hits right in front of you (thrust). Polearm: More damage for slashing. Slightly slower attacks. Hits a mass ammount of space (slash).
Another thing. There is going to be a lvl 50-120 PQ where the final boss is J/Zakum.
