Kane's Past: Part Five

The wind rushed through his fur, twigs and other forest inhabitants of the vegetation kind snapped under his paws. Dashing left, to right, and then jumping over the odd log, there was nothing more exciting than the chase. The dew from rain made him wet, but he barely noticed the fact, the blood-lust in his veins left room for little else but to catch his prey.

Stopping suddenly, he put his nose to the ground and sniffed, moving forwards to try and determine which way they had gone. Lifting his head once more, he gave once last smell of the air around him and then ran down to his right, a small path that was hard to cover your tracks on. It was becoming desperate, and that fact alone sent pleasure down the Umbreon's spine.

A year had gone past now, a long year since he lost the most important friend, and evolved from an innocent Eevee into a vicious Umbreon who only lived to kill, and capture. There was little that he felt anymore, it all had been drained out of him. Love. Pain. Even small happiness was no longer an emotion he knew or felt.

The tests never stop, always something they want to find out, see how you react. But they had become considerably less since that day, and he was feared by many. Not just the humans, but the Pokemon that he saw, and he had even earned himself a name. Kane. It wasn't flashy or anything, but it went with who he was.

Entering a clearing, Kane stopped in his tracks and glared straight at his prey. They were trapped, no where else to run to. A cliff was all that was between him and their escape, so it was hopeless. He had caught them.
Growling low and threatening, showing his teeth aggressively. It was a Vulpix, and she was scared.

"Well look what we have here!" Walking out, his trainer smirked cruely. Except, he wasn't his trainer, he was nothing more than a discusting Human that told him what to do, just like everyone else. Kane didn't look at him, he never looked at the men that used and abused his abilities.

The creature in front of him shook, he could smell the fear she let out and he almost felt sorry for her. Moving in closer, she looked into his eyes and he could see his own reflection. It made him sick, and he jumped for her. Acting on instinct she fluffed and pulled back her mouth to show razor sharp teeth, colliding together in a whirl of claws and jaws. Growling and snarling was the only noises you could hear as they tore each other apart.

Biting down on a leg, she in turn bit his tail, and then he turned to scratch at her face, hoping to blind the Vulpix and disorientate her. Howling in pain, the smaller Pokemon let go and stumbled backwards. He gave a victorious cry and leapt for her for a final blow.

But before he could knock her unconscious, she let lose a huge Flamethrower. How could he have underestimated this creature? It was the last thought that entered his mind as his body fell, over the cliff...and towards the end.

Kane's Past: Part Six

I thought that last battle would be the end of me; death was something I would have surely accepted with open arms. I never would have imagined that it would lead to my freedom, the start of a new life. Things are never that simple though, and I would have to fight for it...tooth and claw.

***

Opening his eyes, he was welcomed to a blurry world and bright light, he tried to close his eyes to it but the pain remained. Trying to move, a burning and blinding pain even worse than what his head felt shot down his body and he flopped back down again. He didn't want to be weak; it left him vulnerable and sick.

"Please, don't try to move!" A soft voice came from his left, and Kane froze. Who did that voice belong to? He had defiantly never heard it before, and the kindness inside of it was something he hadn't heard since...

Laying a cool towel on his head, he could feel everything around him due to his eyes being closed. He wished to know who this human was, but he couldn't speak either. So much pain. With that he fell back asleep, wondering if he was to wake again.

***

Kane spent the week sleeping, only waking up to eat and drink the stuff that this human would bring to him. He wasn't used to their kindness, people were only selfish and mean, and he was convinced that she was trying to make him relax so she could abuse him. Just like those scientists and Rockets he had been controlled by.

One evening, Kane listened as the girl talked to someone he hadn't seen, a male voice that seemed a pressing figure in her life.

"Yoko, you can't keep this Pokemon here forever, who knows where he is from! Those wounds don't come from any normal Pokemon battle, and his scars?.."
"I know what it looks like Kenji, but he needs someone to help, otherwise he'll die! We'll keep him here untill his wounds heal, ok?" Kane heard the man sigh "Ok fine!" And then a door shut, and he fell back asleep.

***

Kane walked around the room, it had been about a month since he was brought here, and he had seen nothing but this damn room and that girl who called herself 'Yoko'...What a stupid name. He needed some fresh air, and it was defiantly getting stale in here, his sensitive nose couldn't take much more.

The door opened and Yoko walked in with a bowl of water and a cloth. She was about 5'10" with light purple hair; her eyes were misty grey color, almost blue. Heading over to the Umbreon, she stopped when he backed up. "You're still afraid of me Kane? I'm just going to check the wounds, see how their healing!" She let out a small giggle and he growled at her naive nature. "I'm not scared you idiot, I just don't want you to touch me with those human fingers of yours!"

She pretended not to notice his cruel words, and bent down in front of him, setting down the bowl and smiled sweetly at him. "Well you'll have to, since I'm the only one to look after you!"

Kane ignored the comment for a moment as she took the bandages from his body, the one on his tail, and another on his waist. "I can take care of myself.." He said finally, while she cleaned the healing cuts and gashes. They were almost nothing now, but she insisted that they don't get infected. "Next week we can go outside, and get you fit again!"

The Umbreon just snorted, but the thought of being outside again, with no restraints and chains, left a thrill inside of him.

Kane's Past: Second Theme

Crawling in my skin
these wounds they will not heal
fear is how I fall
confusing what is real

there's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
consuming, confusing
this lack of self-control I fear is never ending
controlling, I can't seem

To find myself again
my walls are closing in
(without a sense of confidence I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before
so insecure

Crawling in my skin
these wounds they will not heal
fear is how I fall
confusing what is real

Discomfort, endlessly has pulled itself upon me
distracting, reacting
against my will I stand beside my own reflection
it's haunting how I cant seem...

Kane's Past: Part Seven

Creeping slowly thru the bushes, he made sure that no sound came from his paws, watching his small prey flitter around. Then, leaping into the air, the Butterfree flew away and he landed on his face.

"He he!! Oh Kane, you wont be able to catch them like that, Butterfree are fast!" Yoko giggled behind her hand as the male Umbreon glared daggers at the young female. She was so full of life, and he hated it, always found something funny or was happy about some thing or another.

Kenji the man, he was different. A tall man at about 6'9", he worked hard and came back every day to help Yoko around the house. He had black hair and brown eyes, and would smirk alot. He didn't know the relationship between these two humans, but they seemed friendly towards each other.

Standing up, Kane decided he had enough, and went to lie down somewhere nice. Finding a shaded area beneath a tree, he settled there and closed his eyes. It took a while for him to sleep, but Yoko had started to hum while she watered the plants and soon he was dreaming, for the first time in months..

<***>

It was warm; the wind barely seemed to touch his brown fur. Wait a moment, brown? He was an Eevee again, but how? Turning slowly, he looked across a field, yellow flowers were swaying lightly and the sky was blue.

Hearing something shift behind him, he turned once more, only to see another Eevee laying asleep there in front of him.

The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

Walking slowly over, he knew who it was even before he got there. Standing over her, he called her name. Large bright eyes looked upwards and she smiled. Star stood up and then turned and ran, he couldn't understand for a moment, before she stopped and looked back at him, she wanted him to go with her. So he did. He ran after her and tried to catch up.

I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

He didn't know how long they ran for, but however long it was, he just knew that he had to follow her, just as he thought that it was hopeless, she stopped and turned to face him. Laughing as he came up, and sat down. "How?" She didn't answer, but she moved closer to him and lay her head on his chest and under his head.

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

After a while, she looked up at him, but her expression was sad, almost mournful. And then she spoke, so softly. "Who are you?" He didn't understand, couldn't comprehend the question. How could she not know? He had wished for so long to see her again, and here..where it was just the two of them, he felt emotion other than anger. Star stood back from him, and started to vanish from sight, but before she left, a last question was asked. "Who have you become?" And then she was gone, and he was left alone in the darkness, an Umbreon once more.

I'm quiet you know
You make a frist impression
I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

<***>

After that dream Kane spent a lot of time thinking, and didn't speak at all to anyone. Yoko was sad, but she left him alone. Still, it didn't stop her from trying to find out what was wrong.

Weeks later and he was the same, he couldn't figure out what she had meant, and it was driving him crazy. So long that he hadn't seen her, and then this. It was maddening. He just wished that she was alive still; maybe things would have been different.

But still, he couldn't help but be glad she didn't have to go through all the things he did, it would have damaged her a lot more, and for that he was thankful.

***

One night, Yoko came in bringing some food, and she sat with him while he ate. She looked sad, and he wondered what was wrong. Kane wouldn't ask though, she would tell him if she wanted to, maybe it was because he ignored her now, who knew.

"Kenji has been gone a while...I'm worried"

Ah, so she did say, well he wasn't going to reply. What could he say to her? The man was resourceful, he was sure that he would be back for her. A knock came at the door, and she got up from the floor and stared at him "Don't move, I'll be right back!" With that she went out to see who it was.

Yet something felt off, and Kane couldn't make out why, just that it felt wrong. Leaving the rest of his food, he walked over to the door of his room and listened to what was happening.

"Hello? Who is...who are you?" Yoko's voice changed from inquisitive to shocked, he didn't like this.

"We're here for our property Miss, step aside" She didn't seem to move, and he felt the mans anger. "I'd advise you to move now, unless you want to end up like your guy!"

Yoko became worried, she felt a chill go down her spine "What are you talking about?" She asked. The he heard her scream, stepping out, he saw Kenji's body laying on the floor...dead. "What, what did you do??" She started to cry, and the Umbreon knew who these people were immediately. "We just want our Umbreon." The man laughed cruelly and pushed the door open and threw Yoko to the side.

Kane ran and jumped at him, biting on the mans arm hard, trying to tear the flesh. But he was still weak and was thrown away easily. "There you are you b*****d, we've been looking everywhere for you!!" Making a move to grab him.

Yoko threw herself forwards, pushing the man out of the way and standing over him. "Run Kane, get out of here, NOW!!" He didn't need to be told twice. Leaping out the door, he ran into the night air, leaving behind the only safe home he had known since birth.

Backing up slowly, Yoko looked on as the man in a suit with TR stood up, pulling out a large knife. "I think you just made a huge mistake!" The last thing she felt was searing pain, cold steel that started to burn like fire. All she could think was 'Is this the end?'

***

Running fast, paws pounding on the hard earth, Kane ran as fast as he could. But the smell of blood in the air left him empty once more, and he had no idea where to go.

Before he could stop to gather his bearings, he heard a howl behind him, and so he ran faster than before. Dashing quickly and silently, he could hear others chasing him, just as fast. Kane made turn to his left and fell into a ditch. Watching, five Houndour ran past. The hunt was on.

Kane's Past: Part Eight

Kane slipped down a small hill, wet from the showers that came with autumn. Mud caked his paws, making it painful to walk, but he had to keep going, otherwise they would catch up to him for sure.

Limping fast over dead leaves and rotting twigs, he tried to find shelter for the night. His body was considerably thinner; you could almost see his ribs. Food had been scarce and had only managed to catch a Ratatta or two during this month. It was hard, but he got by as best he could.

All of a sudden it started to pour down, and thunder rumbled ahead, leaving his fur standing on end. Looking around quickly Kane tried to find the closest shelter he could. A small bush was his only solitude, as he tried to stay warm and dry.

***

Winter came, and the Umbreon found himself taking food from homes, places he would never venture if he could help it, but Kane was desperate and starving. The only thing that kept him going was that he was free like this, and that alone was enough. He would die free if he had to.

The few months of snow were rotten, and most of the time Kane tried to sleep past it. But that was difficult and dangerous, being vulnerable. Every few days he would have to move places, leaving behind the luck or lack of, the places he rested in.

Soon the snow started to melt away, and food became more frequent, Pokemon wandering out to look for their own meals, only to meet with a toothy end. Kane didn't care about how they might have felt; at least he wasn't killing for humans anymore. Predators were a large problem, territory was important in this world and if he so decided to venture to far into another's area, he found himself on the receiving end. Sometimes he barely made it out, hoping that his wounds didn't bring those hunting for him. He knew they were still out there, he could feel them.

***

Late one night, Sometime in July, Kane slept peacefully in a small den. It was deep downwards, but it didn't go far back, just perfect for him to stay for a few hours. He had been asleep now for about six or so, the best nights rest he had gotten in almost a whole year.

As the Umbreon lay sleeping, five Houndour were busy tracking his scent. It had been months for them, working hard for their masters. It was a thankless job, but they did it none the less. Swiftly moving, stealthy through the darkness, they changed course accordingly.

It was soon that they would take him down, their breath cold and seen seconds after. Even if Summer was upon them, it seemed as though this night was prepared for what was to happen.

The leader of the pack stopped and called for the others to take his lead, making sure that all was quiet. He peeked out and looked upon the den, things seemed simple, they had not been told to bring him back alive.

Body down low, his pack watching, their own forms low to the ground, the Alpha male moved forwards, paws padding lightly on the earth. Closer he got the air thick with the scent of his prey. It had been so long since they had been sent on a mission as such, Team Rocket had become impatient...and whether he be alive or dead was no longer a matter to them.

In a second he was upon the Umbreon, growling and snarling hungrily, Kane fought back, trying to move past the shock of his wake up call. How could they have found him like this? How long had he been asleep? He heard others outside, and finding an opening he jumped for it, leaping from the den and charging past the other Houndour.

His legs burned and his eyes were now wide and awake, but he kept going. Running as fast as possible he didn't see where he was headed, he just was. Coming up to a small and gentle river, Kane got an idea, and sped up his pace. Just as he reached it, he dove in, the cold water freezing him. He wished that it was day; maybe it would be much warmer, but that thought passed for only a second.

Paddling as fast as he could, he looked over and cursed, the Houndour were using stepping stones, ones he hadn't seen. Turning back he tried to reach the shore before them, hoping to hide on the other side. He honestly wished he could think of a way to cover his scent. Maybe the water would help.

Climbing up onto the bank, he shook some of the water from his fur and ran onwards, not looking to see how far his enemies had gotten. Kane soon came into a clearing, it seemed they were close to civilization again, whatever that word was to mean. Humans were anything but civil, and he was sick of them.

There was nowhere he could run to; the sun was coming up over the Volcano in the distance. He looked back, the Houndour approached cautiously, but they knew that he was now trapped. If they thought that he would go without a fight though, then they were seriously wrong.

Teeth showing, muscles tense, claws out, Kane pounced. Five to one wasn't such bad odds, he thought to himself, amused. Things could defiantly be a lot worse.

The fight didn't last long, and wounds were exchanged and shared around, but things were defiantly looking bad for our Umbreon. 'Maybe this is how it's supposed to be, for all the bad things I have done, this is my punishment!' Kane thought.

Falling back, he lay on the grass, exhausted, and unable to move. Just as he was about to accept the end, he felt something fly past. Shouts were thrown to the air, it was all he could do to understand what was going on, listen. Opening his eyes slowly, he saw red against black, fire flying through the air, and then the Houndour backed off, and ran back the way they had come.

A Vulpix came into view, standing there, looking at him. Kane couldn't believe his eyes, and as she walked forwards, he thought maybe this was some dream. "I'm sorry..." He whispered, before passing out.

'I'm sorry, you may kill me now...'

Kane's Past: Part Nine

Once more the Umbreon found himself in a less than comfortable situation with humans, all he remembered was the Houndour, and a small Vulpix. She had looked just like the one he fought not so long ago, but thinking back, he knew it was impossible.

There was much that his mind refused to think about at the moment, so instead he opted to finding out where he was. Looking around closely, his eyes scanned the area.

One black haired girl slept beside him, another pink haired woman worked around the room, and noises outside were becoming louder. 'Must be in one of those buildings that trainers rush into' he thought, unhappily.

Trying to move his body, Kane only managed to get the attention of one Nurse Joy. "Ah, I see you're awake finally, that was quite a scare you gave us!" Smiling, the beautiful Pokemon Nurse walked over to him, checking some machine next to the bed. "Looks like you're vitals are back to normal, temperature is a little high, but nothing a lot of rest wont fix."

Right.

Well this woman had to realize that he wasn't about to stick around and be looked after by her. No human in their right mind would try to keep him here, not after all he had been through to get away from their kind. If they were nice then the result would be their death and if not he would only be there to be used by them.

"You should be thankful, this girl here saved you're life. The wounds were possibly fatal, if you had come here any later, you would be dead." The Umbreon snorted, but turned to stare at the girl beside him. Who the hell was she?

***

The days went by, and this human girl came to feed me, brush my fur, and talk to me every day. She was persistent, I will give her that, but mildly annoying also.

She was quite happy, and seemed to always have a smile for every occasion that I would talk or even acknowledge her. She spoke of her Gym, of her battles in this world, and the friends she also had made.

I sensed there was something deeper though, her life started from the age of 18 it seemed to me, and that she would not speak of before.

I found it fascinating that this human would talk to me in such a way, as though I was not a Pokemon at all. Yoko was the same, but she had held a slight distance, as that of a human and animal does.

As soon as I was healed, I decided that it was time to move on, to find a new place to stay for a while, so that Team Rocket didn't find me. Except, she didn't want me to go.

***

"So, why is it you can't stay again?" Neko asked, frowning at the Umbreon. He had told her everything about Team Rocket and their exploits, but now he was starting to regret telling her anything at all.

"Because, they'll want to come and get me, and I will have to leave anyway, so just forget about it!" He was starting to really become annoyed. Why couldn't she understand?

"Well, it's not like I wouldn't stop them you know, I've done it before!" She kept persisting, Kane growled angrily. "Look, I've seen what they can do, and they'll just kill you like everyone else. Just leave me alone, I don't need you're pathetic help!"

She looked slightly hurt, but he turned around and walked off, trying not to think of anything but his destination. Kane came to the end of the Village, staring out at the trail before him. It seemed lonely; for once in his life the road looked so sad and isolated. People were walking around in this small place, talking, greeting one another, smiles and friendly words were exchanged, it made him think for just a moment.

What if things had been different? What if his Sister had come for him? What if Star was alive..? All these questions, led to just more questions. Ones about where he would be, what he would be doing. If he would have even liked Humans at all.

He knew they were out there, the good ones, he had met a couple, but Kane just couldn't find it in his black heart to even forgive their race to even admit that he wanted to stay with one. Not only that, but their lives were constantly in danger because of their attitude.

It made him sick, he was sick of them. They were like parasites that walked around in clothes, littering the world with their existence. He thought back on the time he had first killed, how good it had felt.

Such meaningless thoughts, and yet they kept him rooted to this one spot, fascinated with how this small and tiny place made him think. Except he didn't want to think anymore, he wanted to act, to be able to just move on and never look back.

Turning around, he began his journey once more, his heart cold and painful, the Umbreon felt as though his legs were not even his own anymore. His mind, his body, they weren't attached...never had been. It just seemed so much more insistent at that moment.

Lost in such thoughts, Kane failed to realize that his moves were being watched. The Houndour had returned to their master, and brought them to the last place the young Umbreon had been seen.

If he had looked ahead, he would have noticed the trap, if he had been paying attention to his nose, he would have known that Humans were there. But unfortunately the only thing that was on his mind was the small place he was leaving behind.

Sure he had been taken from a couple of homely places, but the out of way Village had been like a refuge to his mind, able to relax in the slow paced way of life. Sure he loved a good scuffle and battle, to rip at someone with his claws and teeth, but still, he didn't like to be bothered or surrounded.

Swept up into a net of some kind, he was captured. The male Umbreon snarled at the human, angry at his own stupidity. How could he have let himself be taken once again, so easily?

***

Meanwhile, somewhere else in Harmony Village, a raven haired girl sat on one of the benches, thinking. Sparky, her Pikachu, looked at her in worry, wondering if she could help in any way.

"I keep thinking that he shouldn't have gone, is that wrong?" Looking to her companion for help, she let her hand rest on the electric Pokemon's head. Sparky shook her head, looking over at some of the people. "I don't think so, something seems off..."

Neko nodded, sighing. "Well it couldn't hurt to follow, ya know? Just in case!" Standing up, the trainer started to run in the same direction as Kane, a yellow blur running by her side.

Speeding down the pathway as fast as she could, Neko found herself just in time to see him thrown into the back of a van, and watch it drive off. "Oh no you don't!"

Picking out a pokeball, she threw it into the air, calling out one of her most reliable Pokemon. "Serenity!" The Light Dragonair appeared in the air, floating down and allowing her trainer on her back.

"Come on Sparks, we're going after that van!" The Pikachu jumped up also, holding on tight as Serenity flew fast down the road, catching up to the viechle in no time. "OK, Use Wrap now!! Hold onto it!"

The Dagonair called out a response, throwing her tail forwards and wrapping it onto the back, holding on as tightly as possible. It tried to move, the driver pushing down the accelorator as hard as he could, but she wouldn't budge.

Jumping down from her Pokemon, Neko stood and ran for the van, throwing the back doors open. Kane stared at her, stuck under the net. "What the hell do you think you're doing here?!?" He shouted, obviously pissed.

"Am saving you're sorry life, got a problem?" Neko grinned, and put her hands forwards to open the binds. Just as she got close to relasing him, the Rocket came from the front, screaming. "What the heck are you doing!?" Lashing out, the trainer ducked away from him and glared.

"You wanna fight? Fine, Sparky your up, Serenity, get Kane out of there!" Her Pokemon did as they were told, the Pikachu jumping in front of her trainer, and the Dragonair went to help the Umbreon out.

The Rocket was obviously now amused, and smirking. "You think that a little girl like you can win against me? Ha! Ok, I'll entertain you for a little bit, Raticate, out you come!" The Rat like Pokemon was thrown from his ball, smiling cruely at the Pikachu.

"Ok Sparky, use Thunderbolt, now!" She charged up her cheeks, sending the volts of electricity his way, watching it hit the Pokemon head on. "AHHHH!!!"

While the battle was going on, Kane jumped from the van, watching the battle with interest. He had no idea that this girl was good at battling, sure she was a Gym leader, she had said so, but still. Shaking from his thoughts, he ran over to Neko.

"There's nothing we can do now, they've found me!" He cried, wanting to tell her that it was over, to leave before she was dead too. But she only smiled back at him, winking. "So? If they think that I'm just gonna lie down and let them take Pokemon as they wish, then they have another thing coming."

Turning back, she smirked at the two in front, happy at the way things seemed to be going. "This here is my Village, any Pokemon who enters will be looked after by me! So, if you want to take him, then you will have to get through my two best Pokemon!"

The Rocket looked from the Pikachu, to the Dragonair, unsure on how to end this. He seemed to come to some decision though, because he looked straight at Neko. "I'm not leaving here, my boss will do worse than you could do to me!"

Shrugging, the Gym Leader seemed not to be worried in the slightest. "Fine, then I guess we'll be seeing you! Serenity, send them off with a lovely Twister attack!"

The Dragon nodded her large head, smiling. "Ok!" Building up the powerful attack, she pulled her tail upwards, and then down, the Twister racing towards the Pokemon and Rocket. Lifting them up into the air, they were both sent off into the distance.

***

The sun was starting to set, and Neko was standing outside her Shrine Gym, looking down at the Umbreon. "So, you gonna stick around this time?" She smiled, showing that if he felt that he had to go, she would be fine. But that defiantly wouldn't stop her from following.

Kane growled, looking at the floor. Maybe this woman could help him find his Sister, and get Revenge on those Rockets. She seemed to hate them just as much as him, and he could get stronger. Staring back at her, Kane decided that maybe, this could become his home.

"I'll stay."

Hotaru-Neko
Well well, looks like a pretty laid back pokemon Wooga's got there! It seems as though the stage doesn't bother him at all.

and last, but CERTAINLY not least.. Sai, and her Pikachu SPARKY! heart These two are the only unevolved pokemon competing today, will it make a difference?

::The Pikachu looked up a tad offended that she just HAD to point that out, and started shooting sparks from it's cheeks::

what!? Hey, listen Sparky, I did'nt mean to offend you. gonk

First showing of Renamon
Wandering around in the dark wasn't what this young trainer had in mind, clutching a small Pokemon who doesn't fight and trailing behind a Pikachu. Of course this Pikachu wasn't weak or anything, but still, bigger Pokemon would be more comforting. Charcoal maybe, or even Serenity. Certainly Kane would have been a lot more comforting, even with his dark tendencies.

Alas the way things were, she just had to suck it up and take what life threw at her. Neither of those Pokemon were available, she had no clue where they were anymore. The thought didn't sit well with her and a shiver descended her spine. What if all the Pokemon were right? Something surely seemed off, and she had passed a few Pokemon that didn't communicate in the least.

Had asked a Hoothoot which way the humans had gone, with no answer but a 'Hoot' and a flutter of frantic wings. Had looked at Sparky, only to see the confusion mirrored off her face.

No, things were defiantly off, and the fact alone that she couldn't find her friends, was enough to make her sure of this.

A rustle in the bushes ahead made her stop, squinting ahead, trying to look through the blanket of darkness. Misty squirmed in her arms, snuggling deeper. That didn't help.

"Who's there?!" Sparky stood on two legs, her ears twitching, concern etched into her features. Just as she asked, a shape emerged, one that looked suspiciously like a Pokemon.

"Are you travelers?" They asked, a mature voice that seemed to have little emotion to it. Stepping forwards, Neko decided to talk. "Yes, we're looking for our friends, they came here with us!"

Waiting a few seconds, the Pokemon seemed to regard them with a stare, before stepping under the moon's light, showing her face. Gasping, she realized that it looked like a Ninetales, except she was different. "I can help you, if you help me!"

Nodding slowly, the raven haired trainer let the shock fill up, and drift away, before asking. "How come we can't understand any of the Pokemon here? And why can I speak to you?"

Looking around, the Ninetales lowered her voice, a tint of amusement in it "Because, I'm speaking your language, human!"

Coming soon, is a trip into the deapths of Team Rocket's HQ in a small area full of snow and ice, Vixen and Eve's evolutions, and the meeting of Neko and Talon. This beloved Pidgey has a story, one that links so closesly with our trainer. This will be a while, hopefully it should be up in a couple of months.

Alright so, Saiya is leaving Monday, so Neko will not be around to RP with her companions. But do not fear, my next entry is still in the works, I haven't forgotten, and it's going well. I hope to get more time once I return home, at least for a while.

Enjoy yourselves, and I shall be back soon, don't give eachother too much trouble. wink
