I loved Nuriko. I thought he was a really great all-around person, he was always fun to be around with, and really cared for everyone!! I've always liked Nuriko alot ever since I first saw him. heart

I've stated it before(at least six times since I joined the board), but Nuriko. His heart is as beautiful as he is. He crossdressed to keep the memory of his sister alive and is very loyal. I despise Ashitare for killing him, even if it was because he burnt him trying to protect Miaka.
At one time, I detested each of the Seiryu Seishi, but after a while a couple of them grew on and earned my respect. Despite their murder and rape attempts. Soi, Amiboshi, and Suboshi are those characters. As far as Yui goes, I mostly pity her. She does feel odd about what she's doing, yet for whatever reason, she continues it. Be it jealousy or because she truly is that entwined in Nakago's wicked grip.

I love Nuriko so much more after reading Yukiyasha Den, and the same goes for Houki in Suzakuhi Den. I loved Nuriko in his gaiden!

Mrs. Tasuki I love Nuriko so much more after reading Yukiyasha Den, and the same goes for Houki in Suzakuhi Den. I loved Nuriko in his gaiden! *nods* Houki needs more fans! She's actually pretty cool!

I like all the warriors,because they all had a goal even if it was evil.I wish the book showed the rest of the G.warriors and B.warriors,too.

WHY?! crying crying crying crying crying I agree it is kind of sad that it happened or is happening, but alas it's one of the prices for the type of war that went on. cry I really wish I could say I liked Miaka, but I don't. She- no offense- reminds me a bit too much about Usagi from Sailor Moon sometimes, especially the hair and gluttony. And the romance between Tamahome and her seems too sappy and unrealistic. I wish I could give some examples but I do give her this much. I prefer her to an extent than Yui. Yui's too vengeful and bitter at times. While she regrets what she's doing, she continues it. Miaka does seem much more pure and innocent which can go both ways. But her intent from the beginning was never to hurt her friend. Yui's swaying faith and trust in Miaka and being forced to believe that she was betrayed is what makes me pity but formally detest her.

I tend to agree, however, at the same time, I grew to really love Usagi because of how- I feel, she matures over time. Miaka... just continues to be annoying to me. Except for maybe in Eikouden where she really doesn't even play a part. It is mostly for her sappy and lovesick character that I really can't stand her. Yes, love makes you stronger, but her relationship with Tamahome was just too out there for me to really believe in it. I didn't like Yui in the TV series, but I loved her in the OVAs, while her parts were small she had really grown, I think, from her pathetic role in the TV series. I mean... she had no loyalty or trust in Miaka whatsoever, which was pretty obvious at her first real test to believe in her so-called "best friend". I know I've only been really close to my best friend for five years now, but when she tells me something against somebody I hardly know I'm going to believe her regardless. The manga does Yui more justice later on I think. But yea... don't like Miaka, and basically I really don't like the Suzaku/Seiryuu arc of Fushigi Yuugi now with the arrival of the Genbu Kaiden manga. The only saving grace of the Suzaku/Seiryuu arc are Hotohori, Nuriko, Tasuki, and Chichiri, IMO.

*sigh* I love Nuriko, he was just my type of guy! ((minus the crossdressing)) and I cried when he died, really I did, it was horrible...I then dyed my hair purple after that so that Nuri-sama would live on through me! heart
