Toga! Toga!
I'm an unusual pro-choicer. xd

Not at all. The image that all pro-choice women are bra-less femnazis who hate babies is entirely a pro-life invention.

All pro-choicers have one thing in common - they want the women to choose for themselves whether they want a family or not. It has nothing to do with whether they themselves will choose not to, merely that they want that choice.

My mother was pro-choice. I'm pro-choice and, in some ways, I can't wait to have a child.

While I have nothing to back this following statement up, if I had to guess from observation, I'd even go so far as to say that MOST pro-choice women have never had nor will ever have an abortion.

And yes, I did say that the picture is not actually what I wanted, but I gave up. As I said in the other thread, however, you're objection is absolutely correct.

Every woman since my grandmother has been Pro-Choice. Everyone else didn't even know about the issue.

And I can't wait to adopt children someday. Maybe I'll even marry ENS? Hah.

I feel, as a pro-choice woman who is aware of the horrible things going on in the adoption system today, it's my responsability to adopt a minority or special-needs child, and I'm seriously considering it. The only thing, growing up with two moms, I know how hard it is to have 'abnormal' parents, whether they're gay, or of a different race, and I wouldn't want my kid to go through the same thing. But then I know that I could give a kid a better life than the adoption system ever could, and I feel guilty.
So this is my circle of confusion.

Also, regardless of whether I adopt or not, I want to have my own child too.

I agree, the adoption system is messed up, and any kid would have a better life in a family, the problem is that nobody wants a kid that isnt theirs, but I do, because a close friend's family recently adopted twins, and they are so grateful, it's almost better than a child of your own.

I hate it when people do that. "I'm going to ignore the thousands of kids waiting for a home cause I r only want one that's passed through my v****a!"

I tried to find a picture of kids in the US since I know a lot of people put up this "it's ok, as long as it's them and not us" barrier. If anyone finds a picture of street kids in the US, I'd love to have it. Thanks biggrin

We have a hobo in town that looks like Jesus...will that count? xd

Jesus hobo! That's awesome!

As for the teasing, so what? They'll get over it. And honestly, if it means having a family that loves them and cares for them, I'd call it a very small price to pay.

I had a dream that i was pregnant with kittens. .__.

I have to agree though, Human babies are damn ugly creatures. How can anyone can think of them as cute or beautiful is beyond me. And i've seen enough. rofl Each to their own, i say.

Well, I do think they're cute, but not nearly as cute as the baby muskrats my cousins and I saved from a flood.

WHOO! 100th post.

I wouldn't mind that, you know.... It sounds a lot more painless and easier than having human babies. Cats don't exactly have the same responsibilities as a human baby, to tell you the truth...

Baby MUSKRATS? (O)_(o)

GIVE THEM TO MEH! Kidding!

I LOVE baby Chinchillas.

Now everyone, I don't mean to bring up an old subject, but I was reading through the first page for the first time and noticed that something that I was very angered by was posted there.

Wasn't there a woman who just recently, within the last year, shot herself in the stomach? I wonder how her case turned out. *goes to research it.*

Edit: Found it. After finding a ton of pro-life and religious sites bashing this poor woman.. I found something as unbiased as I could...

Am I the only one here who thinks that this woman is outright evil for doing such a thing? She shot herself in the stomach, intentionally murdering a CHILD, not an ungrown fetus. All I've believed in, the years of my being pro-choice was that women (as well as their partners) had a choice, whether to remove a growing thing from themselves, because they are just not the right person (whether because of themselves or the time in their life) to raise a child. I never thought it right that they were to MURDER a child.
This woman SHOT a child the day it was to be born. Had it been born, what would the different have been (besides that it was out of her), than her approaching it in the hospital and shooting it?

It wasn't the due date, or she would have been in labor. I think she was just in the 8th month or something.

And human babies ARE ugly. Basically the day my youngest cousin came home from the hospital, I was at my grandparents', and my aunt lives upstairs. My grandma was all "OMG LOOK AT THE CUTE BABY" and I basically used actions that said "Get it away from me." It's not ******** cute the day it comes home. Newborn kittens are, however, the cutest things EVER ;-;

I remember seeing on the NEWS that she was extremely happy about having the baby. And, that between either a fight between her and her boyfriend or her boyfriend threatening to leave her.. something about him presuring her into giving the baby away or not wanting it or anything to do with her if she had it.. made her lose it. And she was extremely depressed to a point that she should have been medicated. However, I do not know the whole story.

Come now. We're the side that pushes for proper use of terms. You misused both "child" and "murder." You also denied reality in saying that there wasn't a fetus involved.

I don't like her choice, but true to my morals I don't pass judgement.
