Ignoring the peck on his head, Timon continued relaxing, only pausing in his leisurely stretch across the branch when Pumbaa called. Grinning, Timon grasped the branch in his paws, swinging down below it and landing neatly on Pumbaa's head.

"You're late!" He exclaimed, nestling into the tuft of hair on Pumbaa's head. Then, laughing, he swiped a bug from Pumbaa's tailfur as it swished back behind them. Popping it into his mouth, he chewed thoughtfully, then nodded.

"Much better fresh." Then, Timon shot a glare at the crow, leaning his back against one of Pumbaa's ears.

Urari, suddenly conscience of his tears, wiped them away. "Uh..umm..nothing. Just a stupid dream about my mom or something..it's..nothing." He looked at the ground, away from her eyes. He was embarrassed. Shuffling his paw in the dry dust on the top layer of the jungle floor of the path they were on, he desperately tried to come up with something else to talk about. He wished he could get more sleep, maybe he could see his mom some more. He longed to see her face again. He didn't know that was the last time he would ever see her, nor that that was the event that brought on his illness. But, he couldn't pass up this chance with meeting his old friend again.

Looking around and thinking about what to say, he simply blurted out "So, what have you been up to since I've seen you last?"

"Ouch. What a general question..could I have not come up with something else?" Urari thought to himself. He looked up hoping she wouldn't burst out into giggles at his question.

Usiku did chuckle a bit, but all in good humor. "No, that's a fine question. In fact, you beat me to it. I would have probably asked you eventually." She had watched him wipe away his tears and guessed he wished to ignore and brush it off, so she allowed it to go if it was what he wanted.

"Nothing special happeneing with me really, I've just been lately exploring this joungle. There are so many colors, sights and sounds...not to mention smells here! I've never seen a place so diverse before." She took some time to crane her head and look around, appreciating the vastness of the jungle once more.

"What about you? What have you been up to?"

Pumbaa started when the crow flew down next to him, his tail jerking frightfully. His eyes grew wide. Luckly he hadn't passed gas in his surprise. "Oh, Hello!" He said thoughtfully, getting back his nerve. Now more calm he sat down fustrated. He was just about to open his mouth to ask if the black crow had seen his buddy, when he felt a familiar thump on his head.

"Timon!" He said happily, tossing back his head, so he could see him, but since Timon was on his head, he could not. "Oh, Timon! I've been looking for you a long-long time! I called and I called, and I searched and I found you, I did!" He said happily. "Timon I am hungry! Lets get something to eat, my treat!"

Well, Timon had been full for quite some time... But the bug he had just eaten jarred his appetite once more. Grinning, Timon nodded, then sat up and dangled his feet off the front of Pumbaa's head, wrapping his paws in the tuft of headfur. Unlike the crow, he had grown used to Pumbaa's overall smell.

"Lead on then, buddy!"

Pumbaa was stired by Timon's answer. Why were the two friends so oblivious of all the danger around. Well, Hakuna Matata gave them a reason to forget the past. But the present could cause a threat. Oh, well. Pumbaa stirred his thin feet to start off, but he stopped upon remembering the crow. He turned to it.

"But Timon, what about your friend here!" He said, tossing his head up tio stare at the pair of brown feet that dangled. "Its rude to leave without saying Good bye!"

"Well, I have been traveling for 3 days. I decided to leave the Mistweaver lands, seems like the lions in charge don't take kindly to rouge cubs. So, I decided I would travel to wherever my fate would lead me. Ironically, I ended up in this jungle, under the very same tree as yourself." Urari said amazed that it had really happened that way.

He looked around a bit too, and she was right! There were so many colors just screaming out to you, begging not to be ignored. This place seems happy, it's a place to relax. It's...a paradice!

"Maybe you could show me around this place. I'd love to get to know new faces and sights..plus it could be fun!" Urari exclaimed, forgeting about his exhaustion due to the excitement at the time.

The crow chuckled softly and then hopped up next to the warthog, a smile playing with her ancient beak as her beady black eye's looked at him and then to the meerkat.
"Don't worry child...but thank you for caring...but I really must be going...you see I don't have much time to say good bye's either.."
The crow then hopped up on a branch and started to look around before fanning her wings out, preening one of them before turning back to the two.
"Good bye you two!"

Despite his obvious hatred for the crow, Timon waved as she left. There was no use calling names when the thing he despised was leaving anyways.

"G'bye, birdy!" With that, he prodded Pumbaa with one long finger, wrinkling his nose. "Now, what about that grub?"

Pumbaa looked thoughtfully at the crow, a large smile spreading across his face. His tail wavered as he watched the beautiful bird flap up to the tree. "Goodbye! Was nice to meet you!" He said, kneeling down on his knobby knee's, tossing his head.

The meerkat on his head prodding him brought him back from dream land. He snorted, tossing his head. "Timon. where shall we go then... WE got that nice ol' log over eastward. Or... Oooh-ohhh, that fallen log with all the tasty grubs! Perhaps we can reach that bee hive over that big ol' tree, with the dangly things that hang down with the big ol' fruits. They'd taste real good, with all that honey on 'em. "

Tamani smirked. Oh yes, this cub she'd encountered could be of use, even if he didn't ask to enter her jungle. That could be overlooked though. A little bit of company, even of his sort, could come in very useful. A plan formed within her head. Perhaps this...scrap of a cub could help her snag that little weasel. She'd have to share the booty, but it would be worth it, to have an extra set of paws and teeth to grab hold of that skinny little rat.

"Well, a lady such as myself could stand to have a brave adventurer at her side. Would you care to stay within my jungle? I'm sure there's more than enough room for the two of us in the vastness here..." Oh how her words continued to drip with the essence of honey. Sitting down upon her haunches, Tamani bent her head down to lap at the cool sweet water. When she'd had her fill, she turned her head, licking her lips daintily. "Come, join me. The water is quite sweet right now....more so than usual..." The black leopardess purred invitingly, again batting her eyes at Kitambi. Oh yes. Trouble at its finest moment.. Who knew what other plans she might have for the poor soul of Kitambi, who knew what that twisted little mind of hers was capable of dreaming and scheming up. Regardless of what it was, it was obvious that it probably wouldn't be all that....nice.

These sweetly disguised words worked their way deep into the ego of the cub, and he puffed his chest out further, looking a tad absurd now.
"Yes, I can be king of the jungle! To hell with those damn lions and their claims." Apparently this sweet talking was doing more damage to his already overactive imagine than could easily be fixed without a whack to the head, but no matter.

Idling his way to the pure water, he edged one paw into the rippling surface carefully. For a cub that claimed to be a brave adventurer, he sure seemed to be timid at the thought of new experiences! He had avoided swimming at the other jungle, irritated be the overwhelming number of other creatures about.

Tamani snickered softly behind her coyly raised paw, before turning back to the water in which she'd been lapping. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched the handsome young impressionable leopard. Amusement shown plainly in her eyes as she saw Kitambi timidly tap a paw to the water. The black leopardess chuckled softly as she sat back on her haunches, shaking her head. "It won't bite you, I swear. These waters hold no strange creatures that bite or harm. The most that'll happen is something like a frog will jump up and startle you." She was genuinely amused by the strangeness of this newcomer. Maybe...a companion wasn't such a bad thing after all. This one seemed to be quite the character, a perfect compliment to her angelically devious mind. Oh yes, he was very much the keeper...

Padding over to the other cub, Tamani sat down next to him, quirking a brow rather oddly. "I don't recall catching your name, dashing adventurer. Care to enlighten a lady on to whom she is speaking?" Well, if she was going to keep him, she might as well know his name, shouldn't she? Seemed like the think to ask, anyway. She fluttered eyelashes at him while waiting for his response, her tail tip flickering lightly in a state of contentment.

Where is my Timon? crying
PostPosted: Tue Nov 09, 2004 7:18 pm

((Timon had a heart attack. Something about worms and clogged arteries. XDDD No, seriously, I apologize for my absense.))

"Sweet bugs?" Timon thought about that for a moment. Hmm... A nice salty termite, or a sweet worm? Hey, anything that worked. He grinned, idly plucking at Pumbaa's headfur.

"Yeah! Let's visit 'em all, in order. Y'know, falfinetically or whatever. L comes before H, righto? So log first. 'Sides, it's on the way!"

Pumbaa snorted happily, tossing himself up, leaping a small distance and then continuing on. He began to sing outloud, his deep voice out of tune but cheerful.
"Tattatata-tata-ta! Gonna-gonna-gonna catch a-bug-a!" He sang aloud, leaping over towards the log that lay, conceiling the tasty buggies under there. With a snort, he hefted his nose under the log, lifting it slowly so his buddy could dig in quickly.
