This isn't really a blooper, but....did anyone else get a Titanic-ish vibe from the Masquerade scene (i.e. switching between the ball and the backstage party, and Titanic's switching back between 1st and 3rd class duing...I don't remember which part of the movie. It's been a long time since I saw it).

A lot of the so-called boopers mentioned were intentional.
Christines eye-shadow: Ever realize it gets darker when Erik starts singing? Aha...
Some people believe the missing stockings support the idea she was in there a long time, as in the book.
(I haven't read it, but that's what I heard.)
In PONR, it is clear Erik is wearing a wig, so Christine takes it off with the mask.
I have a supposed blooper, though.
In the Notes scene, when Madame Giry first appears, Firmin is at the very top of the staircase and the farthest away.
However, when she says she has a note, he is mere inches away.

I noticed about the 3rd time through. And I love depressing chick flicks, so...yeah. I notice that sort of thing

My sister pointed out that when Raoul runs down to the stable and he says, "Where'd they go?" or whatever it is he says, and the driver says, "The cemetry.", he asks that of the driver before he even turns the corner and sees him.

Who here hates the fact that at the beginning f the POTO song.. you know
*In sleep he sang to me.. in dreams he came* Christine is not singing on the screen but when thay go aroung the corner she is?

And another thing. When Eric breaks the glass at the end of the movie the pieces break all small like(and fake). But when Eric steps on them they are all big! Grrrr!

Also, what is up with the chandiler falling after PONR in the movie and yet in the play it fell before the end of act 1 which is after All I ask of you reprise.

Hehehe! I'm obsessed!

Ahhh! n00b phan! *runs and hides*

at the end of wishing you were here again... when shes sitting on the steps and its zoomed out... you can SOOOO tell, EXACTLY where the smoke machine is... it was poorly done...

also, at the end of "All I ask of you" when the phantom is standing on the gargoyal.... you can tell easily that there is a "wind machine" under him, blowing up his cape... cuz it just looks so fake... <.<.....

at the end of All I ask of You, you could so totally tell that the cape swish when he was on the gargoyle was CG, it didn't look real.
yes thats true I noticed that my first time seeing it... I didn't like how they did that part at all... looked horrid... crying

I wouldn't go as far to call it horrid. But yes, it was obviously CGI. I mean, if they'd have tweaked it just a little bit, made it a REAL swishing cape, instead of CGI, maybe even swished his hair a little...

They could've done better with it.

oh and i HATED that in the end they added this total fake glass smashing when he breaks the glass. why couldnt they just let it be? the cg does kinda make it go all big w/ the music but it would of looked better more real.

It's very probable that Gerard Butler is superstitious. You know, that whole seven years of bad luck thing. If I were in a movie and I was supposed to break a mirror, I'd want to CG it too. I wouldn't want to chance it.

Um...can I just say one thing? To those who say the Phantom was wearing a wig in Don Juan Triumphant...how come when she removed his mask in his lair (And before his hair was black) his hair didn't change colour? If need be I can even upload 2 of my least favourite screencaps.
He wore a wig the whole movie. If you notice, in the one scene before he burned the miniature set he had built of the Opera House, he had been sitting at a desk like thing, right? When he got up and the camera zoomed back, you could see that he had a collection of wigs there. whee

As for the mask in the lair when she takes it off she gently removes it, but not over his head, therefore not taking the mask off. In Don Juan Triumphant, she whiped the mask off over his head and took the wig along with it. ^^

"Well, damn! I didn't know your hair was going to fall off, too!" heart

I am not 100% certain that my theory is true, but here goes:

I am aware that in the movie he was wearing a wig, but in PONR, I think it was not intentional for it to look like a wig. They wanted to create the appearance of slicked back hair, as it would have been back then. That is also why Erik's hair appears so dark throughout the whole movie( very dark brown/black), and then appears blonde after his mask is removed.

((Joking by the way, please don't kill me))

That's why he couldn't get Christine! He got 21...no wait..24 years of bad luck!

((End of joke)) I know that was bad... sweatdrop

heh... me and my fam did that... we figured out that he whacked it around six times making it 42 years... heh... another weird thing I found was that Erik is like the same age as Madame Giry (showed them both as kids in da movie) yet Erik still looks a little younger than Madame Giry...

BLOOPER~~~~~
Meg was in the lair where the water is and she is soaked when she got out.... when she turned the corner her pants got dry.... MAGIC!
