Harvested Sorrow Hm, what was theirs about? I thought it might be a cover or something. >_> (Styx covering it I mean) To my knowledge of the Styx 'Snowblind', it's about the highs and lows of taking snow. If you look up the lyrics, there's one site that had explained it. I don't know if it is still up. but JY sings the low parts. Like the person who took just came off of it. Tommy sings the High parts of the song, As from the veiw of the person who was off of it took it again. I can go more in depth but I'm havving to go soon for dinner. xp

Clearly they're two different songs about the same subject (cocaine use) as Black Sabbath wrote their version of it. I love Black Sabbath's version of it, because the music and lyrics perfectly encapsulate the mind of an addict... The blindness, the denial of reality, the love for their addiction, the utter hopelessness of it...it's amazing. Snowblind What you get and what you see Things that don't come easily Feeling happy in my vein Icicles within my brain (cocaine) Something blowing in my head Winter's ice, it soon will spread Death would freeze my very soul Makes me happy, makes me cold My eyes are blind but I can see The snowflakes glisten on the tree The sun no longer sets me free I feel there's no place freezing me Let the winter sun shine on Let me feel the frost of dawn Fill my dreams with flakes of snow Soon I'll feel the chilling glow Don't you think I know what I'm doing Don't tell me that it's doing me wrong You're the one who's really a loser This is where I feel I belong Crystal world with winter flowers Turns my day to frozen hours Lying snowblind in the sun Will my ice age ever come? And...an MP3 of the song for those that haven't heard it: http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1F8FQ1WXUJQHV0MHBMX0V7Y9OV

And seeing as Ozzy didn't actually really do anything for them it's not fair to judge them by him. Especially considering that he was only with them for about the first 10 years out of a 30 + year career.

Anyways, I just don't like their music.

Just one thing...if the Styx song is about cocaine use also, then how do the members of Styx not qualify as overrated druggies, too? xp Oh yes. I may have just ******** with the sacred cow, but I went there. ninja

Oh, sorrow, we're sorry about the banner thread. We moved back to the right thread... eventually.
