instead of editing my last post... i'll just repost the whole thing(including the end here:

After a bit of thinking about it, I've come to these conclusions:
The island:
one giant psychological experiment gone wrong

The monster/black smoke:
incarnation of acumulated thoughts of those on the island

The others:
people who were the test subjects in the experiments, they learned the truth(and probably caused the "incident" or what ever). After finding someone else to press the button, they abandoned all the stations

The island again:
Once you step foot on it, you can never leave.

Walt and Michale:
They will be back in either season 3 or 4... I'll even place 3000 gaia gold on it.

The statue:
many theories about that one and i dont feel like typing any of them becuase they are too extensive and hard to explain becaues you will ask questions about them and i dont want to answer... i might add them in later...

The Dharma Initiative and the Hatches/stations:
each hatch is a mini experiment with-in a larger experiment-
From what I know: each hatch is connected to at least one other in some way shape and/or form... either a closed off tunnle(probably from the incident), video survailence systems, or pneumatic tubes(which was proven incorrect in the season 2 finale).

Zoological side of the island:
The Dharma shark, the polar bear and the bird- The shark probably came from a station, and from my research the station it came from was probably the flame, though it could have been C3(refering to this map found on Lostpedia.com)

The map:
Was started by the person who was on the island before the guy before desmond(i never cought either of their names), who is most likely one of the others now... anyhoo... The map was started by that guy and finished by either desmond or the guy who found desmond.
Latin on map-
The latin on the map basically consists of various phrases... anything from hic sunt dracones(here be dragons) to Aegrescit medendo(The Disease worsens with the treatment, the treatment is worse than the disease) to Cogito ergo doleo(I think therefore i'm depressed). I've no idea what the importance is for some of them, but I do believe that each phrase will be explained in seasons 3 and/or 4.

Heiroglyphs:
When the clock hit 0, the numbers showed heiroglyphs... in this order(described by what the looked like/represented in the show)
A boat(desmond returning), A bird (the Hurley Bird), a 'Y' shaped dart(the darts the Others used to capture Kate, Sayer, Jack, and Hurley), A swirl which looks like an ear(the noise which was heard by all on the island), and a line which looks like an enlongated upsidedown 'u'(which either means some one will be returning(michale and walt perhaps?), or that this is a turning point for the Dharma initiative)

Things people have been slightly mistaken about:
The two men at the end of the episode wern't speking Russian... it was portugese.
They were either in a plane(doubt it) or at the south pole(i'll explain later).

any questions?
did I miss anything?

I like the guy who did his homework!
it can't be the north pole because as we pulled back through the window, we saw a mountain, and there is no land under the north pole, but there is land under antarctica. thanks for clearing up that language issue too. it sounded a little like french but a little like spanish and they kinda looked a little russian so My family was very confused...

I don't get the 2nd hatch, where it was worthless, and the tubes went to nothing, but the first hatch was the most important hatch yet. I hope they go more into the history of Dharma, an why the whole experiment seems to be abandoned or something like that.

The whole tubes thing is very confusing... i mean they were filled notebooks which did lead to nowhere where anyone could find them, it's pointless. The guy in the Orientation video said that the notebooks would go straight to them... but they didn't. They ended up in a dump like area. Unless it was just a test... to see if they would do it.

Also, when Fenry said, "Were're going home" to Jack, Kate, and Sawyer... maybe he ment that home was a location off the island. To me the others camp that Sayid infilterated was a 'joke' as Fenry would say it. I mean the hatch that the two others were guarding... there was NOTHING behind it except for the rock. That makes me think that they are trying to fool the losties, they are making a alternate location on the island. That would explain the coustumes, the raggy gross looking ones that they use. Im glad Kate mentioned it, about the beard. As we saw in Maternity Leave... Zeke was in nice clothing and didn't have his beard, I think thats because they have differnt disguses ((sp)) so maybe the losties will get confused on who they really are... they are definitally trying to hide their identity.

Also we learned that Zekes real name is Tom. I noticed that Tom is a frequent name throughout the whole series.
1- Tom- Kate's childhood friend who she blamed herself for his death. ((episode- What Kate Did))
2- Tom- Charlie's friend who hooked him up with a girl named Lucy and told him to steal from her. ((episode- Homecomming))
3- Tom- A name that Ana Lucia gave Jack's dad when he told her to give him a fake name. ((epsiode- Two For The Road))
4- Tom- Claire's boyfriend who is the father of her baby and left her while she was pregnet ((epsiode- Raised By Another))
5- Tom- Zeke's real name ((episode- Live Together Die Alone))

I looked up the meaning of the name Tom and found out that it means 'twin'. Twin is also used in Lost. Sawyer was reading a manuscript of 'Bad Twin' which Hurley was reading before Sawyer got his hands on it. Jack later burned the end of the book when he was getting mad at Sawyer because he wanted the guns. So this makes me think... do some of them have 'bad twins' or maybe a bad side of them? I think Tom is a name we should be looking out for as the series continues.

Also what doesn't make sence to me is why they NEEDED Hurley and then just let him go. I think maybe the others needed him because they needed someone to go back and tell them that nothing happend. Because we know that Sayid or someone is going to go all "AHHHHH where are they?" Especailly Sayid. So i think Hurley feels pressured at this point because he knows something that the other people don't know. And he knows that Michael shot Ana Lucia and Libby so he's really mad about that. So he has a lot of mixed feelings.

Oh also... Desmonds letter.

I thought it would be helpful to metion the adresses on it.

Desmond Hume
Southway Garrison
42 Berechurch Road
Halsted Essex co8 swe

Penny Widmore
23 Denismore Gardens
Knightsbridge, London
sw4 8ps

I noticed that Desmonds last name is Hume and in his first flashback thing of the episode... they mentioned his full name Desmond David Hume.
Like the name John Locke, David Hume is actually a philosopher. Try googling the name David Hume and you can learn more about him/

Also the name Widmore... now whereeeee have we heard that before.

1- When Charlie was making his music video and he walked outside we see a location where there was a construction area called 'Widmore construstion' ((episode- Fire + Water))

2- When Ana Lucia, Sayid, and Charlie find 'Henry's' balloon there is a pretty big sticker that says 'Widmore labs' ((episode- Lockdown))

3- When Sun takes a pregnetcy test, she holds up the box to it and it says 'Widmore labs' ((epsiode- The Whole Truth))

4- Desmonds girlfriends name is Penny Widmore ((episode- Live Together Die Alone))

I also notice now David is a often used name too.

1- The name Dave was given to Hurley's imaginary friend ((episode- Dave))

2- Dave was the name of Libby's husband who got sick ((epsiode- Live Together Die Alone))

3- Dave is Desmonds middle name ((episode- Live Together Die Alone))

On the letter we see Hurley's numbers- 4, 8, 23, 42

A bit more about the Dharma Initiative(The hatches we know of and what they are for):
The hatches we know of are: Swan(first hatch discovered), Arrow(found by the tailies), Pearl(found by Locke and Echo), and Door(found in the "Others" camp).

The Swan and Pearl are the only ones we know to be connected in some way(survaliance camera), but the Door and Arrow are closed off(possibly due to the "incident"(which i believe will be revealed in either season 3 or 4 as a finale episode)). The Swan serves as an electromagnetic controll system(proved correct in "Live together, Die alone") and the Pearl was(before it was abandoned) was part psychological experimentation(they believed that their notebooks actually went to another location via pneumatic tubes and continued to do so until*explained later*), part survaliance(as of the "incident"). After the "incident", one or two of the "others"(who I believe caused the "incident") would be stationed there for a few weeks at a time to watch over the people in the Swan station and make sure that they wer pressing the button like they should be.

The other stations(that have been discovered) are the Arrow and the Door, both of them lead to nothing. The Door is probably where Walt was held to stifle his "powers"/"abilities" which include appearing in places where he shouldnt be(Like Ms.Clue said) and making things happen with animals(The bird crashing into the window). The Arrow is simply a suply depo.

Latin on map-
The latin on the map-

i'll finish this up later... i have to go somewhere...
Kelvin (the guy that found desmond) and his former partner, are both dead now, so their not others 3nodding

I ment the guy before Kelvin. Are we sure that Kelvin was telling the truth about whats-his-name blowing his brains out? If whats-his-name had really killed himself in that way the blood splatter would have covered things behind him, and if he were to be looking down with the back of his head to the celing when he pulled the trigger, it still would have left a bigger mess. there was also no bullethole in the celing or any other marks like that.

What? Fourth season? I think that ending made it pretty clear that the islnd had been found by people off of it, and if Penny is still looking for Desmond, she'll check there. There'll probably be a few episodes with outside-world scenes instead of flashbacks as they track down the origin of the EM disturbance.

Weird note: I noticed yesterday that Alex grabbed Kate in the wrong places when helping her up. Perv.

Kelvin was in a Sayid flashback - 'One Of Them' when they found Henry Gale. He was the guy who told Sayid to tourture that guy.

I have a VERRY strong feeling there will be at least a fourth season. Just because they were found by someone off the island doesnt mean they can get to it... but if they do it will be in season four *places down an aditional 2000 gaia gold*
