((Raven, you're not there. We are on a ship which you are not.))
Turning his head towards Fay he quickly and promptly answered. "Why most of our weapons, bladed weapons, are made of steel. There are so fewer elements finer in quality for war then steal. Though iron still holds a spot among the lessers who haven't learned the greater smelting skills."
Pausing for a moment as he considered the rest of the weapons they could produce he then continued, "But we do not just deal in blades. There are other tools of war that can be put to use that are made of woods and so forth. Crossbows being one of them."

The Clootie's eyes widened, and it's horns grew just a little in a response to the nervousness it was now feeling. So Fay got the answer she had really been asking, and the Clootie interuptted: "Materal matter no, but I no nature of needing to touch." One hoof pawed the floor of the deck.

Well it seemed the demonstration would be put onto the table, most likely indefintely. For now he would have to calm the Youkai down which ment a change in topic.
"You asked about animals? Is there any kind you have a prefrence for?"

Fay was very much amused by the Clootie's dispay, and was just about to make some cutting remark when she suddenly stopped, and seemed to be looking at something else "Men!" She roared, once it seemed to have stopped "Raise the sails!"
Turning to the Clootie "If she hasn't reached you yet, we're being recalled. They've struck the first blow." without looking at Quin or Ultima "I'll ask you to leave now."

Indeed, it was getting a staticy transmission from one of Hikojunya's subordinates, but it wasn't recieving any details. It had been trained late for ki transmissions and it was hard enough for them to send long messages over such a distance. It did sound urgent though.

Whatever could be said, wasn't said as Quin kept a docile and over all neutral look etched on his face; but beneath that he raged. Damn them, interupting his trading.
Giving a brief nod of his head he left Fay with one last parting request. "Bring back a skull for me if you would be so kind."
Dragging Ultima off the boat they returned to shore to watch as the boat made leave.

Amist all the commotion the Clootie made what looked like a forward faint, but instead it was the first stages of it's transformation back into a goat. It trotted to the opposite side of Fay's office.

Funny you should say that. Fay said distantly. Images of torn sheets, clothing, legs twisted together-
I don't
"Alright everyone! You've had six minutes to prepare yourselves! I'm coming up, and when I do you'd better be ready to set sail." Six minutes would have been absurb to mortals, but she prided herself on being able to keep much better time.

((Ahhh heh heh oops....))
Diana groaned slightly as she decided to head back to her ship. It was time for the inspection. She always inspected her ship immediately after docking. Ceceilia was in fact her first ship out of her other five. The others were named Calen, Sedynine, Calysto, Shruparas, and her best ship Zonsrensos, Zon for short. Her other five ships were coming to this port during the next two weeks.
Reaching her ship, she called for her Ship's Captain. "Samual!" He appeared instantly. She'd taken in alot of creatures for her crews. Samual was one of her most trusted as he had grown up with her. He was not Fay but a Dark Sidth. He was a bit more than just an ordianary Fay and had the power to prove it. His immortality had convinced Diana to name him her succesor. It was also because he was her closest friend. "Aye Ma'am?" "Has everything been uloaded?" "Yes Ma'am." "Then lets get the inventory done so everyone can go ashore." He grinned in anticipation.

It was days later that Fay was able to gaze out the ship and see the by now familiar Kusakabe way. She had thought about researching the actul ports Back Amber had, but considered it unimportant as it was pushed aside to make room for the new political alliances that had formed, as well as the demands of the Clootie.

Word had gotten to Quin that a ship had been spotted. He knew when it made port and who's it was; but then he wasn't just going to go to the ship. Instead he sent a small delgation to welcome them for their return and ask of the war back home. Quin himself stayed at home, he would not have Black Amber appear the vassal.

Diana groaned as she stared at the manifest. SHe had let the others go to shore but she had remained here in her cabin for the past few days trying to figure out what happened. She was missing a bolt of Tarenian purple silk and a few odd necklaces from the Youkai Islands. They had been rumored to house magic but she didn't bother with that. SHe had checked them and they had been frauds. THe design had still been interesting thoguh. Taking a deep breath, she moved up to the hull.
It was too stuffy inside. Samual appeared with a worried frown. "Still haven't found it Ma'am?" Shaking her head, she set the manifest down. "No. It's like it up and vanished. Did you happen to misplace anything?" She watched Samual carefully. He was a trusted Captain yes, but there was still the fact that he was human. "I may have Ma'am." "Then we'll double check. Meanwhile, go ahead and go onshore. You've been here for the past few days without leaving." Samual grinned. "Not until the manifest is accounted for Ma'am." Sighing, she looked toward the street. Shruparas, Zon, Calen, and Calysto had all come in. She'd checked their manifests in between the search for the missing items. She was still waiting on Sedynine. They were to come in today or tomorrow. At that moment, she saw a group of men coming. She grinned slightly. "Would you look at that Samual. They sent us a welcome party." She stood, tucking the manifest into her shirt pocket. "Don't let them on board. I'll meet them on the dock." Samual nodded and moved down the plank of would that acted as a bridge between dock and ship. He stood directly in front of it, blocking any way up the plank.

"Like everything, as of late, it is a thorn in the backside of the Faye Nation." He was irritated, Fay had assured him that it would be this Quintilius that would be coming to meet him. She had been most unreasonable- and unreliable- as of late. "But that's none of their buisness" he thought to himself, and proceded to ask where the delegate was.

"Can go now?" it asked quickly to Fay, when it saw the men (headed by Daoin) coming towards them. It had been shut away from all of the fighting that occured during it's stay, including a sea battle that their vessel was fortunate to witness from afar- thus it was dreadfully bored. "Now?" it repeated.
