He couldn't help but burst into pleased laughter at that response.
"Why, so we are," he exclaimed. "So we are."
He caught the odd rhythm that Demyx was produing just a tth edge of hearing and added his own soft whistle to harmonize with it, giving the Creepers a little mental nudge to add their own growling purrs to the mix.

Demyx grinned happily as the others joined in with their various noises, his own tail keeping up it's thumping.
"So boss....where do we go from here?"
Green eyes turned to the silver one, filled with curiosity and thoughts of the future.
"Sorry I freaked out earlier...I'll try harder with training, I promise!"

"If you mean musically, i confess to have no clue. If you mean in training, well, that's really up to you. And don't worry about being upset earlier. I should have realized you'd have a bad reaction to being jumped outof the blue."
Kadaj smiled over at his minion and allowed himself to enjoy the peace of the moment.
"Out of curiosity, who exactly is that fox boy who was such a jerk earlier?" Kadaj couldn't help but smirk. "I do believe he left before he could introduce himself. Or maybe it was more before a Creeper could introduce him to his own guts."

"Yeah I meant in training...."
Demyx stopped his tail thumping, sitting up to watch Kadaj.
"I haven't really trained myself in anything....so I dunno what to do."
The blonde tilted his head slightly as Kadaj asked about the fox boy. Ugh...everyone always wanted to know about him.
"That's Seifer, and he's always being a jerk like that. Stupid guy thinks he can boss me around just cause he's a bit older...mmrph..."

"If you haven't really done any training, then we'll just start off slow and work our way up the skills ladder."
Kadaj reached up to deal with a minor itch on his nose.
"Seifer, eh? Well, we'll keep an eye out for that one and see that he doesn't interfere too much."

The blonde was rather relieved to hear Kadaj say that. As much as he wanted to please his boss, being thrust into rigorous training day in and day out did not sound entertaining to him.

"He may try... but we'll have to see to it that he doesn't succeed. Those bubbles of yours could come in handy for that. Create a bubble screen as a distraction, leave the Creepers behind it... he tries to come through, gets mauled for his trouble. I see nothing but good in that idea... "
Okay, so it was a bloodthirsty thought, but if first impressions meant anything, Seifer hadn't done a very good job of coming across as someone worth spending any amount of time with.

But, instead of looking joyous, Dem's ears flattened back.
"It wouldn't...kill...him though would it?"
Despite Seifer being an annoying little jerk, Demyx didn't want to really hurt him. Roughing him up a bit was fine but causing permanent damage, or worse...killing him....wasn't something he thought he could do.

That settled, Demyx amused himself by trying to summon a small water bubble and form it into different shapes. It was small, but it was some form of training and that should make his boss proud of him.

"Then we won't", Kadaj stated simply. He didn't have much use for playground bully techniques anyway. He just wanted the fox boy to leave his minion alone.

He kept one eye on the bubble shapes and one on Demyx as he concentrated.
"Y'know, from what I can see now, once you get that ability trained up to its limits, you're gonna be a pretty formidable guy."

The idea that he could possibly be a challenge thrilled Demyx. Usually everyone just cast him aside as worthless.
