swiperthefox blazing_angel47 swiperthefox blazing_angel47 Yay! Yesterday was the last day of school!! Finally, summer vacation!! But I have so much AP and Honors homework... crying i know exactly wut u mean here in florida im taking ap american government/economics, and im also taking ap drawing/portfolio so my summer is like down the drain. I have to do AP World History, AP Chem, Honors Pre-Clac, and Honors English homework. We have to take notes on 16 chapters in World History, and we have to do this (HUGE)project too... and we have like 95 questions to finish in Chem... Pre-Calc we only have 51 problems... still a lot sine it's math and all... and omigod English... I think English is gonna kill me more then anything else... my brain is gonna fry before I finish all that work... U going into 10th or 11th cuz here in florida we have to take world history in 10th grade. I'm gonna be in 10th grade when school starts again.

AP is like a course that prepares you for college or something like that.

Oh, Here in Canada we have Applied, Academic and Locally Developed for grade 9 & 10. Then Uni, Mixed (Uni/College), College, and Workplace for course levels for 11 & 12. And well then there's Open which happens for all grades, and well it's just open. Just in case anyone doesn't know college and university are different over here. Our college is equivilent with community college.

It's not that exciting. Depends on where you are, someplaces are kinda like the states, however no one carries guns in public, and we have free healthcare. Oh yeah and we have way more tax...Alberta doesn't have PST though, they make enough off their oil. I went to NJ last summer, shopping was awesome. I bought tons of happy bunny stuff.

My cousin says the same thing... about the tax and health. And she also said that some of the stuff there is cheaper... and you get more free stuff then in the U.S. cuz of the high taxes.

Free stuff, free money if you're poor. But you have to do community work for it if you can't get a job. If you can the gov't will pay some of your wages. There's subsidised housing, not that it's all that great, you get to be next to all the addicts. Hopitals are crwoded, there aren't any family doctors available. And it gets cold. I had to go to school when it was -35 with windchill.
Here in Ontario taxes are 15% (8% PST and 7% GST)
