*gasp*
i'm half way through it, and so far it is utterly boring...but i think it gets better when the pot unravels further...
i borrowed it from the library last month because of all the controversy surrounding the book. Controversy always grabs my interest and intrigue. xD

how far did you read up to?

Hmm, that doesn't really motivate me. I just started reading it so I am on page 20. There is alot of controversy surrounding it because it's anti-religious.

Doesn't pose much interest to me. I do want to read The Other Boleyn Girl though. I mean we did a whole thing on Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and my teacher recommended it but I only remembered I wanted to read it because of the upcoming movie. xp

I read the book in a couple of days. It was really really good. I'm not sure the movie will be as good but hopefully.

The book is amazing. The movie is despicable.

Okay, so seeing as I don't have anymore school and am going to graduate in less than a week I decided finally to read Twilight. Yeah you know that book that has everyone obsessing about. I kinda was avoiding it cause it was so popular and I really hate being on the bandwagon.

So I downloaded it, yes downloaded cause I don't have money to buy books, and both copies at my library are out.

I finished it and it was good. I'm not going to go above and beyond and say it was amazing. I mean I've read similar work before. And the story where the guy has always loved her but tried not to endanger her kinda thing didn't interest me much. I always like a story where there is some growth to their feelings not a sudden fall.

I really hate myself for reading so many stories before online that involved vampires. I mean if I didn't and read this I would have been blown away but I'm not sadly. There are a lot of great writers out there who have written this type of story before. Plus half a dozen of them have included the girl being ridiculously accident prone.

So overall I thought it was good. Just good. Not great. I'm pretty sure I would get shot if I said this outloud and not anonymously online. I'll try to read the other two soon.

I finished New Moon too. I started Eclipse but seeing as I have a splitting headache and really shouldn't be on the computer I will read it later.

New Moon was good. I have to say I like Jacob Black more that Edward. Then again that is just like me. I mean after reading it I immediately drew connections to Smallville... sadly. You know, Edward being Clark who leaves to protect Bella (Lana) and Jacob or Lex coming in and being supportive. sweatdrop

I actually couldn't get through the first Twilight book. Stephanie Meyer's prose is awful, and Bella is a horrible, horrible character.

However. SPARKLY VAMPIRES.

That part is awesome.

Twilight wasn't the best book in the world but it was readable for me. I wasn't blown away but I didn't think it was that bad.

I just don't see why everyone thinks it is so amazing. I mean I've read better things written by amatuer writers on fanfiction sites. I didn't find the story between Bella and Edward very compelling either.
