in the game, when Zach got shot to death, he gave Cloud his sword... in the movie, he probably made it...

i thought it was the one from the game, the one from the movie, but meh, i don't know, found it? beat up some old guy? decided he liked all the swords he found and decided to put them all together?

FF7: It was Zacks
AC: If you read Case of Tifa, it says Cloud did deliveries for extra money while getting ingredients for their bar. He used the extra money for motorcycle upgrades so he probably got his sword somewhere along there sweatdrop

I always thought he got from his friend Zack before they were ambushed by those shinra soldiers after they letf niblehiem. I mean he did basically take on Zacks life right?

For the AC swords, it's probably as Lunarescence says... he probably bought/made some himself from the extra cash he had.
The Buster Sword he took/got from Zacks, who got it from Angeal...

Patches O Hannigan In FFVII or AC? In FFVII he took it after Zack was shot and killed. In AC, I'm not sure. xp In AC, those were swords he suppisvely bought during the game when you'd go to shops, hence why it was a sword in one since there were multiple ones on it.

DAMN. lol yea it actually weight next to nothing........ titanium and aluminum alloys dont weight jack. ever pick up a pop can...... now temper it and sharpen it........... just stay out of its way. Do you know how hot titanium has to be to be tempered, it think it's about what 3000 degress F. I might be wrong and aluminum is incredibly difficult to forge

Okay I know how it happens in the game. First after Tifa is slashed, Zacks moves her and tries to kill Sephroth but goes flying out and then Cloud takes from him after Zachs tells him to kill him so Cloud runs up and stabs Sephiroth with it and then Cloud gets pummled. Then When Sephroth is trying to leave Cloud Stops him by grabbing his sword and kills him.
Then Cloud and Zacks are put into these weird mako filled tanks and when they get out Cloud is very sick from it but Zacks seems okay. Well a little bit of seens go on but it finally takes to the Midgrad area and Zacks is trying to take care of the Gaurds but gets killed and they leave Cloud alone thinking he will die soon enough. But Cloud grabs Zacks sword and then thats how cloud got Zacks Buster Sword.

The Buster sword was Zack's. Cloud, who was helped from Nibelheim to the Midgar plains by Zack, who was then killed, took Zack's sword with him to Sector 7, where Tifa found him.
He has the same sword at the beginning of AC, when he's back at the Midgar Plains, and places it into the ground (Most likely, it was the place where Zack was killed- just making assumptions here).
The sword he actually fights with in AC? The one that is, like, 9 swords in one, that clip together into one big one, or can be placed in the compartment that snaps out of the side of his motorbike?
i'm pretty sure he got that from eBay. Yeah, that sounds right.

As for the rumour that the sword is made up of the ones he got during the game, the only one i can see in there is the "mythril sabre", there's no Organics, Ultima Weapon, Apocalypse, Heaven's Cloud... None of them! Here's my fave weapon!
