hunters? I dont know about that? Sounds like wonabes to me. >_<
But i wont rule out the possibilty, Think about it, do you have any idea how much crime is out there? at least here in the Us? I mean there is always a kidnaping or a murder. Sadly to say..
At teh same time I wonder, if you where a hunter, why would you hunt something that lookes human, how can you tell? I mean you cross paths with a person on the street are you going to say "Oh its a otherkin!" i dont think so, how would a hunter know if you were otherkin or human?
If there are hunters, I'd say thats human ignorence for you.

Hmm actually I think this subject would make a good movie or dare I say it...anime! "Otherkin Hunter Z" or something. I think otherkin hunters, if they actually exist, would work mainly on the astral, attacking there. Once you're fully intuned to the astral plane, things that happen there affect your physical life. For example, someone stabbed me in the neck once in the astral, I felt a sharp pain in my neck right where it struck. It wasn't a hunter who did it but see my point?

While I have never run into a "hunter" (or at least I don't think I have... sweatdrop ), I have run into ignorant bastards who pretend to hunt werewolves, and run around my neighborhood beating stray dogs. It irks the living hell out of me.

Yea - luckily, two good things happened:
1) One of the kids got caught and charged with animal abuse (which is only a misdemenor where I live, but it's better than nothing).
2) I moved.

That's something I love about Vienna.
The laws applied to breeding dogs here are so strict stray dogs virtually do not exist at all. Its the most pro-pet city in the world. 3nodding

Ty Ty Accually you would be very suprised how fast one could learn. If your a spirit doctor that specializes in orb and core then its easy to figure out whos not human at least. If you where a spirit doctor of the mind you can warp or lock up memorys and create faulse memorys. You can also control peoples minds and do things that can can get you confused with whats reality and whats not. Spirit doctors can be as bad as they can be good. So while I don't know what things hunters learn I'm saying becoming one in the spirit realm wouldn't be too hard. There are probibly a lot of dangerius non medical related things you could learn in the spirit realm to, a LOT. Also finding books about species there is a piece of cake, unlike the physical. While I don't doubt that spirit doctors are potent and could use their abilities to see someone's orb and core, there are many experienced otherkin out there who can make very nice illusions. I've met a few in the astral who were damn good at disguises and charms. I kinda wished I was that good, all I can really do is shield it. Also, even if someone found out that someone else was otherkin, what can they do about it astrally? There's tons of different types of otherkin so trying to use only one hunting method wouldn't work. One last thing to consider, there are tons of otherkin that are only found in the astral. They may have had little to no contact with the material plane and may not be found in any myths. How can you go after an entity like this? Also, Otherkin Hunter Z would have to be a comedy razz

No need to get upset or anything. I did not comprehend all your points the first time I read your post (some points I don't know enough about so I refrained abotu commenting on them), but I also think you may have misunderstood what I said. When I was talking about illusions, I was talking about otherkin who can use their abilities to hide their own identity, not about spirit doctors using illusions (which I'm sure they can do). I don't argue that spirit doctors aren't potent, I'm sure a few of them can be. What I am saying is that even a powerful spirit doctor is not all powerful. There is always a bigger fish out there, always. There's always something that can resist mind control, detection, and other techniques a spirit doctor may employ. But on the otherhand, there are other beings who can be susceptible to spirit doctors. As for finding books, you may run in the same problems here on the physical. Just cause there is a book on a rare kin, that doesn't mean you'll have access to it. These kinds of books may be part of someone's private collection or perhaps hidden. Also, books are written from one person's point of view. Thus, two books on the same species may have conflicting points, case in point: dragons, vampires, therians. I think you underestimate the access one has to special information. Also, many mixes and hybrids out there (and there are lots) may end up being one of a kind combos. As such, its unlikely you'll find information on them. Whether a spirit doctor or hunter or both, your abilities do not automatically mean the information you want will be a piece of cake to get.

Otherkin Hunters are well... hunters of Otherkin. Either for a bounty, personal gain, or sport, Otherkin are either caught/stalked/experimented on/killed by said predators. Some hunters do this to wipe out the population, while others merely prey to those who abuse their otherkin abilities for crime and such.

I'm sure a came across an Otherkin hunter last night. I was at a party, pretty much full of Russians, and this quiet man never left his seat. This was 7 hours he was staring at me. And not so much in a normal way. His eyes were looking all over my body. I managed to take a picture, but I had to turn off red eye.  This guy was looking at me for 7 hours. He didn't get up to get a drink or anything. I asked someone about him later, and they just replied with "He's a pycho." I'm pretty freaked out...Seeing as his relative is about to marry one of mine...
