Rurouni Lord Sesshomaru Kenshin chewed and swallowed a couple more slices i silence, before going on. This time, a small smirk came across his face, his eyes narrowing. "I'll give you 4 weeks to master that swords weight. If you've succeeded....then...I'll show you the level 2 unleasing method, and how to output power into the weapon."In a cocky yet joking tone he laughed back to Kenshin,"You give me four weeks and I'll have it done within two." A smirk left on his grim face.

Rinel_Underwood ((Time flows so oddly in this guild… I had meant for this to be the next morning, taking time after the sea posts… but well, then there was Kenshin present here, and that thing happened two weeks ago…. And, I dunno any more XP )) Ritska practically jumps out of her skin in surprise, dropping the last strip of bacon in the grass. Muttering a curse, she looks down at it, then quickly looks up again. It was Meta. Ritska lets out an almost annoyed sigh that she hadn’t heard him sooner and that she’d jumped so easily, then brushes off the bacon crumbs from her hands and clothes as she thinks of how to answer. She had to admit, of all the places she’d been to, this place was possibly the most beautiful, and sheltered place she’d been to… she assumed that must be why it was called the Haven. Still, it really didn’t feel like she’d belong here, even if she almost wanted to. True, the two people she had met had been accepting and kind… but still, it didn’t seem possible for her to go from being a thief breaking into this place to living here… nor did it feel like a commoner kitsune such as her herself could live amongst rich vampires. Even if she could, she had no money. How would she pay for a room here, or food, or anything else she might need? Ritska frowns slightly, her ears flicking back, then shakes her head. ”No, I’m er… just getting some food for the road before I leave.” She explains as she stands up and shrugs, briefly lifting her bag filled with supplies to show what she meant. Ritska then lowers the bag and glances away briefly, then back to him again, wondering what he might say. Technically, she was stealing again.
Meta smiled at Ritska warmly. "You know it is ok if you want to stay here. You really shouldn't lie about your situation either. These eyes aren't blind to others troubles, and it seems you could use a place to stay. Besides, you must be quite hungry if you come here to eat again after just being fed." Meta patted Ritska on the head lightly. Meta always had a kind heart for people and he had a weakness for helping out people even when he shouldn't interfere. He was just a sucker for those in need of help, and Ritska really looked like she needed a home at the moment.

Ritska felt her face go red for a moment as she glances away again and scowls slightly while he pats her on the head. She wasn't scowling at him, but at herself. She was fifteen. Other thieves she knew survived easily on the streets at that age. Hell, she had too, and had for a lot longer before that... so.... why was this offer so appealing now? Why was she so tempted to give in an accept... it could only lead to trouble, she knew that. She had a bounty on her head. Somebody would find her sooner or later. Ritska hesitates, then shakes her head again. "I'm not still hungry, just thinking ahead. As for staying here... I have no money, no way to pay for a room, or the food here, or anything else. If I stay, you people will only have a thief on your hands, constantly having to steal what I can't afford, which is everything. So as you can see, I cannot stay." She replies as she takes a step back and starts to turn away.

Meta could tell Ritska didn't want to be a bother to anyone. He felt sorry for her and how she had to live such a hard life. Meta didn't want to see someone with a kind heart go back to a life style she never was really meant for. "The food is free, you don't need any money, you need not worry about paying for a room, and you seem trustworthy enough. If you truly had been intending to hurt anyone here then you would have not seen this kindness and generosity." Meta spoke up hoping Ritska would listen to the offer.

Ritska stops, clenching her fists and lowering her head. Her ears were laying flat back against her head, as if they could shut out what was being said. "I..." Ritska stops again, biting her lip as she shakes her head. She wanted to say no. She knew he was pitying her, felt sorry for her. She hated that! Well..... usually. Ritska sighs, then tilts her head back, staring up at the sky, as if the clouds floating past overhead had an answer for her. She couldn't trust others. What if this was somehow a trick... or, what if it wasn't, but a bounty hunter came? No, no, no. She had to go, and that was that. Scowling again, composing her face to look cold once more, she lowers her gaze and shakes her head. "Sorry, but I cannot accept." She replies with a trained emotionlessness, then forces herself to start walking away.

Meta nodded at Ritska's response. He could not force her to stay. He could not make decisions for Ritska and he could not live her life. No matter how much Meta believed in helping everyone he knew there were times that people would not accept it. Still he had to try! There would be know way Meta could live with himself if he knew he could have tried harder. "What is it your so afraid of Ritska-dono? Why do you keep pushing others away so much? Even after all this you continue to decline." Meta asked her as she walked away. Even if she would not accept he still wanted to know so that he could help.

Ritska froze again, once more tensing up, her fists actually clenching hard enough now to have her fingernails cut into the flesh of her palms. She hated questions such as those... because they instantly seemed to make her waver, with uncertainty, indecision... everything she wasn't great at handling yet. Questions were harder to shut out than simple offers... because they required her answer.... and she never had an answer for such questions. "I... I have a bounty on my head you know? I can't stay here. Somebody will come eventually. I have to leave now, before..." before I grow attached.. she thinks to herself silently, then blinks in surprise at the thought. Ritska shakes her head again, starting to walk again. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me." She adds, her voice almost wavering, but Ritska keeps it even and emotionless, though she refuses to look back at him now.

Meta smiled he goofy smile once more and spoke towards Ritska. Slowly but surely with what Meta had learned he began to put the puzzle together. "One more thing would like to be asked then. Is this bounty on your head because you hurt an innocent person, or is it because you declined an offer that would have hurt others and now your hunted to get rid of any potential leaks?" Meta put more emphasis on the second option. Even though he barely knew Ritska he could tell she wouldn't harm the innocent if she had the choice. That ad become apparent when she tried to run instead of fighting Raistlin earlier.

He was slowly but surely breaking through her carefully constructed shell as he asked these questions. Ritska stops, yet again, her gaze once more boring holes into the ground as she tried to think of how to reply. "Er... I think you can already guess." She replies, having noticed the one he'd put emphasis on. How had he known? Well, no matter. Ritska sighs softly, then shakes her head. "Goodbye Meta." She replies, then, bag in hand, walks away again, heading for the beach. ((connecting up the threads so there isn't two things going on at once.))

Meta nodded and smiled as Ritska walked away. He knew in his heart she would continue to strive on, but he also felt a tint of sadness knowing she would try to bear it alone. He walked into the kitchen and cleaned the dirty dishes he had in hand then stepped out.

Kenshin personally didn't think Raistlin could do it, but he was eager to see the outcome. "Fine... Dismissed," he said, sporting a loosely smug expression. Kenshin was slowly becoming something of a father. A father who doubted his boy, but knew there was that slight possibility that he'd do it.

Turning his head back straight he walked out of the dining area.

"Thank you." She walked in and looked around absent-mindedly. "Oh I'm sorry," she said turning back to him. Her cheeks turned a pinkish color as she thought about being waited on and turned away before he could see her hesitate. When it passed she turned back with an answer. "Just fruit will suffice," she said smiling and bowing to him.

Meta smiled at the lady and walked towards the fridge and opened it. He stopped and turned towards her. "Would you like any specific fruit at all? Wouldn't want to get you something you wouldn't want heh heh." Meta smiled at the lady.

She put her hands together and came to stand beside Meta. "Everything works,"she said smiling. "I'll help you cut it." She walked over and turned on the sink to wash off an apple.
