Yun was relatively happy once more as he found himself in familiar arms again, and someplace warm. She had even thrown a blanket over him. Perhaps this meant bedtime, which wasn't a bad thing - he was rather tired anyway. And so Yun let his head rest against her shoulder and watched his surroundings disappear through hooded eyes. Both his hands held lightly onto the fabric of her clothing.

As she stepped out into the cool air of outside, he clung a little closer - unexplored territory for him. Although there was a relatively nice looking tree and there was a dandelion on the small patch of earth it grew out from. A dandelion. Yun loved dandelions.

Abruptly his mood changed and he strained out an arm towards the tree and the dandelion, wriggling slightly in her grasp to alert her to what he wanted. He didn't want to leave her grip, but he didn't want her to walk straight past a tasty looking dandelion like that.

Angel’s eyes narrowed slightly at the abrupt change in behavior. She readjusted her grip on the squirming child, ensuring that she didn’t drop the little creature. She looked around, following the direction his arm was writhing in and tilted her head in confusion as she spotted the dandelion. That couldn’t possibly be what he wanted… could it?

He couldn’t be attracted to its appearance; the plant was far from enchanting. Most would consider it nothing more than a weed. The fragrance left something to be desired as well. She propped him onto her hip, carrying him across the lawn towards the innocuous looking flower, considering what exactly made it so tantalizing. A stray thought drifted across her consciousness, making her blink for a moment in confusion.

He couldn’t possibly want to eat it? A vegetarian dragon? She had never heard of such a thing, at least not outside of comical tales. She reached the base of the tree and dropped into a crouch, placing the child on the cool grass near the plant. It was dark enough that even if someone happened to see them, they would note nothing untoward, or even remarkable about their appearance, never mind that her companion sported wings as big as his body.

“There you go.” She murmured, leaning back on her heels and waiting to see what the child’s reaction would be. Even if he didn’t end up consuming the flower, she could still return him to the hotel and hope that someone there would know what to do for him.

Yun smiled as he was placed on the grass, lolloping forward from under the blanket to retrieve the flower, the dandelion head promptly disappearing within the small dragonboy's mouth and was soon being chewed and swallowed. He pulled up a clump of grass and began to chew on that before peering up at the tree and spreading his wings, ready to pounce up into it.

First he swallowed the mouthful of grass before hopping up, disappearing seemingly in the blink of an eye. In truth he had only shapeshifted back into his miniature dragon form, flapping his small wings upward to reach the lowest branch.

"Jeeeep!" was it's warcry as it bounding carefully along the branch to attack the leaves at the end, growling quietly at them before mercilessly chomping on them with a happy little expression.

What an odd little creature she had captured. He possessed shape-shifting abilities as well, it seemed. She sighed, rubbing her temples in a doomed attempt to alleviate the headache she felt building behind her eyes. The more she learned about him, the more she was convinced that she should have left him at the hotel and never involved herself. Now she had a dragon boy on her hands that she had little to no intention of selling off for any kind of profit because of her pathetic feelings on the matter.

However, she was absolutely certain that she didn’t want to drag him around on all of her “jobs.” She had some money tucked away… In fact, she could live off of what she had earned over the last hundred years for the better part of her immortal life. But, she had no intention of “settling down” and stopping her very profitable business because of this little mistake. She would return him to the hotel and hopefully escape without being noticed, she decided.

She couldn’t possibly keep the child, she assured herself. After all, look what it had taken to merely discover what he ate! She didn’t know a thing about dragons and had neither the patience, nor the compulsion to learn. What if she accidentally did something fatal? How would she know? She didn’t even know the little creature’s name! They had no way to communicate… She continued to ruthlessly list the downfalls of such a relationship, even as she watched the tiny dragon pounce on the leaves with all the ferocity of a tiger.

((Fine, fine, I'm posting! I was busy hiding my face after the mistake I made over in Isyl ;p Nah, joking. My brain has been study-frazzled >.< ))

"Nathan Richard Torran." Katashi echoed. "Blancard."

As Niev unlocked the car, he whipped out yet another spotless white handkercheif, and used it to open the passenger-side door. He slid carefully into the leather seat, buckled his seatbelt, then looked around sheepishly for somewhere to dispose of the handkerchief.

"So," he continued, still looking about, "where are we finding him?"

Yun happily pounced among the leaves playing what appeared to be a pretend game with the tree. A leaf touched his back and he quickly fell down against the branch and reached his head right round to bite the leaf, rolling over to tug at...

There was a small squeak as the small dragon fell from the tree, his tail getting stuck. He hung there for a second or two looking dazed before wriggling violently about with much protest at the prospect of hanging upside down. It was then he remembered about his wings and he caught himself in the air, trying to tug his tail free.

The small dragon gave a small growl at the branch before it began to grow, a small flash of white light hiding the rest of the transformation, and there was the small boy once more. The thin branch, now uncapable of holding his weight, snapped almost instantly and the small dragonboy landed with a resounding thud on the soft earth.

Auren took her seat in the car carefully, smoothing out her dress and positioning her feet at the pedals with tact. Driving in heels only got better with practice. For a moment she sat, half in wonder at what looked like confusion from Katashi. It took her a moment to connect it to the spotless piece of cloth in his hand. Auren clicked the buckle in place, started the car and then motioned to the glove box. "If the handkercheif is bothering you that much, just put it in the glove box. Be careful though. I have no idea what's in there."

"As far as Nathan goes," Auren put the car in drive and pulled out of the parking spot. "I think we're just going to have to look. He has a new club he bought opening tonight, but there's no guarantee he'll be there. He used to trust on those big events to bring in business partners. It's a good way to keep those you know happy or make good deals with happy new potential partners. "

Angel swore softly, climbing to her feet and making her way to the dragon child’s side. She could only hope he hadn’t injured himself. With his penchant for dramatics, she could only hope he had escaped further wounding of himself. Otherwise, she might spend the remainder of the night attempting to convince him to trust in her once more. Speaking of which, she thought, glancing at the sky in annoyance, wasn’t long.

Though she had not had anything to do with his unfortunate fall, it seemed an unforgone conclusion that she would be, in some way, linked to his injury, though hopefully not in the negative. She reached his side, leaning down to rub soothing, but gentle, circles on his back. Even if he was hurt, her hand was too light to aggravate any newly acquired wounds and hopefully the touch would calm him, if nothing else.

((I hope no one minds....I was just so bored. I know, I only made one post. But, I was on holiday and I'm impatient.))

Jack's image faded. To the passerby she looked like a blob of air, slightly quivering at the edges. She could've been more camouflaged, but she wasn't expecting any assassins that night. She crossed the street, not worrying about cars. She was thinking about the cryptic message she had gotten the night before. It had no fingerprints, nothing that could've helped her. It was made from cut up adverts, a colourful page, indeed. But, it made no sense whatsoever. It was long and was made up of crazed gibberish. Suddenly, halfway through the street Jack cracked the code. The green letters....there were hundreds of them. They all spell a message! She began figuring it out, reciting it mentally as she progressed. She'd forgotton about the being in the middle of the street. My dear,

There is no way of escaping it. You will be destroyed, love. All will fall to my power. You broke my heart. 'Tis a pity, too, we could've enslaved all of their “Earth“. But now you will merely be my corpse bride. I shall have the finest Necromancers in the land revive you. I only wish you would be able to feel as I do for you. No matter, your mindless enslavement to me will be adequate.

Your love for eternity and beyond,

Future Emperor of Earth, Lord-
That was as far as she got before being hit by a certain low profile two-door sedan.

((Sorry, I'm so evil. I just broke a few rules because I'm bored. I want to be involved in the rp, not just walking around. But, I figure that, since you're going to be driving, and she's in the middle of a random street....I'll stop rambling now. Anyways, I'm sorry. I was bored and desperate. I promise I won't do it again sweatdrop ))

{LOL XD That's the kind of thing I do to my characters. Hahaha, I only wish though, Zeyph, that you wouldn't type in such bright colours. x_X}

Yun blinked at Angel before giving a soft giggle. He used her clothes to right himself and pull himself to his feet before peering about once more, the need for food gone.

He hopped forward, out of her reach, and into the sidewalk to stalk a scrap bit of a shiny can. It looked like it had been kicked about a bit and run over more than once, but despite the fact, Yun wanted it.

((Don't worry, I change them every day. Yesterday I started with #E8E8E8, which morphed into #E0E0E0, then #D8D8D8, and today I've changed it to #D0D0D0. They're getting progressively darker. ))

((Yeah, the font is light. Dx I copy and pasted it into text edit to read it. xP

And the car thing is fine.^^))

Just a few more seconds after her last word and Auren was hitting the brakes and trying to swerve. She felt something, but what could they possibly have hit? She had only looked over towards Katashi for a moment and even then when she looked back up she couldn't see anything in the road. Her headlights had been on, but it was a rainy night still. Auren looked in her mirrors and pulled the car over to the side of the road to get out of traffic. There weren't too many cars out at the moment. She flicked her emergency lights on and unbuckled. It didn't seem like they'd ever get anywhere tonight. Hopefully she hadn't hit a person, that would complicate things considerably.

The naga spoke low in a worried tone, "I guess we should check it out."

Content for the moment to let him scamper about on his own, Angel followed the dragon child as he bounded after a stray tin can. He was adorable, she admitted to herself with a soft sigh as she righted her clothes in an attempt to restore her normally orderly appearance. A small tug here and there and the wrinkles were soothed. There was little, however, that could be done about the grass stains.

She shook her head. The longer she chose to keep him around, the more clothing she would have to replace. She leaned against the tree, her excellent night vision allowing her to keep a relatively close eye on her wandering charge. Relaxing slightly, she was caught completely off guard when a stranger dropped from the tree above her to land silently at her feet. Her mysterious visitor rose to his full height, flashing a brilliant glance of fangs before hiding them behind an enigmatic smile.

“Bad form, my dear.” He chastised as he circled her. “I could have killed you right there if that had been my aim. Perhaps you’re not quite as good as the stories say.” “I’m better.” Angel countered softly, keeping her voice low in an attempt to keep the conversation private. “What do you want?” The other Vampire acknowledged her question with a quirk of a brow, giving her another devastatingly handsome grin. “My boss has a job he thinks you might be willing to accept…”

Yun happily chased after the can as the wind tussled the light metal, sending it skittering away across the cement. He seemed to not notice the new figure that had dropped out from the tree, more interested in the shiny tin can more than anything else. Although the stranger would have felt a slight oddity about the air around him, as if it was pressing against him, gently trying to suffocate him whenever he got too close to the dragonboy's beloved.
