"? ? ?" Guess the locals were all like him. That was twice today since she camed. Oh well, that was not her concern at the moment. Now, if she remembered the quotes exactly there was an underground laboratory of sorts. That housed the person, or . . well, it had not a name yet. Now what was that quote? So much in her memories, old and news. It'll take awhile to seperate what from which.
Turning, towards where the door is. She to would like to see the interesting individual. Whose aura was of two different kinds. So rare in these times. But in the time 'she's' been taught to remember. Isn't. Human's just became picky over time was all she could say. Needing a reason to hate this or that, how a mundane reason.

"Between the twin peak. Hidden in the woods. The old bark tree hides a great grand door." Muttering the quotes.

So that means she must find a twin peak somewhere? With some kind of forest below it probrably? That would make sense to her.

Tapping her chin.
" . . . . "
The man said he needed her services.
Maybe they had found the inner sanctum?
Then looking for it would already be out of her way right?
All's left is help them how to turn the place 'on'.
She did not know what his needs were of these 'artifacts', she didn't mind teaching. . but she did not want to teach those that would use it for a bad cause.
Then that aweful war would start over again.
She went up to him and the artificer.
" . . You require of my services, I have rethought of your request. But, I would like a gain from it as well. And all I've ask, is 'what' have you found? If it is what I was questing for, I will help. If not. It all depends on what is your means for using the items you have found? I will not teach, or relearn the old ways, if it's uses are to be for unkind justs."

It appeared that the female had mixed feelings on his request. This made Faris uneasy, for he did not like giving away family matters with those he did not no. Therefore, he was extremely brief with the synopsis. "We are repairing some prewar artifacts from the remains of a tribal village." The village was not really tribal...infact it consisted of both Lyran and Runist peoples at one point. Faris just refered to all of those that were not of the Lyran nation as tribals. "Our mean is that of industrialization. I will say no more on the matter nor the reward unless your interest has been gained." Faris looked to see if the two had gained Justin's attention.

When Faris didn't respond to his 'hello', he was lost for how to continue socially, so he just stood there while this other woman talked to Faris. She was... pale, in a Lyran way, but she reeked of Runism. A slight suspiscion came to the back of him mind, but went no further than that.

Justin took in the words which Faris spoke from behind the door, before realizing it was covering most of his body. He opened it wider, in a more welcoming manner, with an expression of business-like interest and attention.

Faris turned his attention to Justin once he grew closer. "Good day.." Faris kept the greetings short, for he was more concerned with his task. "The cannon, have you deciphered its runes?"

"C-cannon?"
Where they going to reawaken the nightmare?
Her eyes narrowed. Haven't they learned anything in the past thousand years?
Sighing loudly, not that she had noticed, she had hoped, prayed that they would have changed. Tinkering was okay. If there was good in it. But to awaken destructive weaponry? Or worse, That Abomination.
Maybe she had better find the Lost Laboratory and awaken it's secrets, just incase human kind once again wished to destroy themselves. She had better prepare a change of location for her people. And take as many of the forbidden items away.
Her eyes dimmed from glowing to just shimmers.
Rubbing the back of her hand that now itched, in alarm the winged tattoo glowed a pale silverish blue, as her blood seemed to waken to it's discomfort.
"Tis better to let such thing remain asleep. But who am I to ask you not to. But, if your intent with the artifact are for injust ways in the far future. Or it to falls to the wrong hands. You have been warned. The past might repeat itself. And this time, The recovery of the world will be much slower this time."
She crossed her hands and arms in her ancestoral way of departing.
"I bid you farewell. And pray you find something else to tinker with. If you can 'wake' it that is."
Nodding her head to the man behind the door.
Then turning away she begins to walk away.

(( School started Monday for me. sweatdrop ))

Justin raised an eyebrow at the woman. Crazy, probably confusing the word cannon for some strange myth. Then again, cannons made from Runism could be considered very, very strange. After her odd little outburst, Justin could only decide that acting like she didn't say anything would be the best course. Trying to correct her would probably trigger some odd reaction. Besides, if she listened to his response to Faris, she'd figure out that they weren't dealing with... whatever it was.

"The Runes weren't entirely recognizeable," said Justin. "But I think I may know how to use it now. I just don't feel safe trying to use it within a few miles of anything or anyone."

She seemed to be headed in a restricted area.
Ignoring the warnings of it's danger she moved on.
Like she know where she is going. And is determined to go.
She can pinpoint it now.
In her minds eye, the doorway that hid the secrets her people protected.
A circular gate that seemed to ripple like the water unseen by the normal eye.
Only thing, it was quite a ways down, and steep as well.

At this rate she'll fall to her death.
As much as she hated doing it. She had no other choice.
Crossing her arms together cross her chest, the wing tatto on the back of her hands glowed.
And that same wing seems to appear on her back, in a pale blue color, a buzzing sensation of mana around her made her wing-like appearance astral like.
And she can manage to glide slowly all the way to the bottom.
The winds from below, blowing her cape up and away from her body.
Her ponytail breaking causing long silvery blue hair to shimmer in the sun's light.
Holding onto her cape before the winds blew it off. And steading herself so she didn't land crooked.
It was stressing enough to do this. Making mana into a semi solid form to use for her aid. But it's not the first time she did so it didn't tire her out quickly as it would to new learners.

Faris was pleased to see that Justin had made progress since his last visit and expressed it in a grin. If he could activate the cannon then their chances of failure were limited. Infact, he was not worried that the Runist girl was without interest now that he knew he all already had all that he needed. Faris complimented Justin and went straight into the briefing, making sure the female was out of earshot before the lecture began.

"Splendid work. As I'm sure my father has mentioned in the letter, the Arpegius family has discovered the ruins of a hidden village near the center of the continent. Here, we have discovered artifacts that are controlled with both Lyran technology and Runist magick, much like the cannon I gave you. Infact, the location we are going is the very place that cannon was retrieved from. Though, artifacts we will be tampering with are on a much larger scale and cannot be transported due to inactivation. That is where you come in. Our scholars, including myself, cannot deceifer the foreign runes, thus keeping them inactive. Therefore we need to both repair and activate one of the artifacts enough for proper analyzation."

((Sorry, something came up and I have to go out of town for a few days. I'll be back monday night.))

(( S'alright. ))

Justin nodded. It was often hard for those without either a scholarly dedication or Runist blood to read runes. There was a magical aspect which made Runes a natural, almost inate, thing to understand, to some extent. Without that, someone would need to just have a strong devotion to learning, and they'd still be unable to use them, even if they did understand. Being half-blood, Justin had to study a little more than most would. In fact, a thick book of runes (written entirely in runes) sat on his desk where he was examining the cannon. He didn't read too much of it unless he needed to learn how to do something, and in most cases, he prefered to use the least amount of runism possible, or at least direct it with Artificing.

He didn't say any of this, though. What he did say was: "What would I need to bring with me?"

After much walking she finally reached the invisible gate.
"Now where was that plateform?"
Looking around for an indenture in the ground she finally found it.
A small cirular tablet built slightly on top of the ground.
With an indenture of a hand within.
Placing her hand on top of it. And concentrating mana to the palm of her hand acts as a 'wakeup' call.
And a voice, if not weak and spazzy was heard.
"Welcome to Atlier Imperia. Signature recognized as a member of Yunalesca. State thy name." It was clearly female, but there was no one there.
"Celestra, 12th generation of Yunalesca's line."
"Confirmed. Shield lowering. Welcome Master Celestra. I have been waiting."
Celestra nodded, event though there was no one to really talk to.
A water veil like shield lowered from the top of the cliffs all the way to the bottom to expose a large ciruclar doorway. A kind of dried and clankety sound of metalic door sliding open can be heard.
Once fully open, a strange woman ws there waiting. With almost colorless blank eyes. Oddly her hair was green and she had wierd paintings on her skin.
"Welcome Master Celestra. I'm clone 088. Or Aith'a."
Blinking at the woman. But noticing something strange about her.
"You. . are not breathing."
"No I am not. I am a type of doll. Made from manatechnology. Your great great grandmother was the first to develope us. In a way, we are what you would call artifical intelligence."
"How is it that you are moving. I have heard of the Ruby Stone being something of great power."
"That is true Master Celestra. We dolls. And much of this lab is powered by the Ruby Stone made here at Atlier Imperia."
"I see, Well, Aitha. . I'm sure you know why I would be here after thousands of years?"
"Yes Master, we were programed to obey those of your lines and members of the former Atlier Imperia. You are the first thus far. And therefore our Master since you are her granddaughter. Your status far succeed the others."

Celestra looked to the doll like woman.
She really was a doll. No expression whatsoever on her face.
Not even breathing as she talked.
"Firstly, I am in dire need of a medic. My people. I'm guessing, the former members of Atlier Imperia's descendents are dying."
"Yes Master, there is a doll personally made for such an event. She is currently deactivated. I can show you how to activate her once again."
"Ah, that is the best news I've had in days. Now, to find a way back home without teleporting. It's much to strainging to the body."
"There is a way Master, we can activate the Draconis."
"Draconis?" Thinking. " ! ! You mean you have a flying ship still useable?!"
"Yes Master, we have many things hidden here. All currently deactivated due to Master Yunalesca's order. All things cannot be activated unless awakened from the power of the Ruby Stone. That is how she had it ordered."
"I see, so grandmother thought of everthing in advance. ."
"Yes, the Master Yunalesca made sure that the Abomination cannot be used ever again. And everything else dangerous that could damage the world."
"But the war?"
"They were of a weaker machinations. Deadly, but not as dangerous as the Abomination that almost emptied the world of mana."
Thinking. . "Why didn't she told the others that it was destroyed? We would not have been refugees!"
"It was her wish that all thoughts and memory on how to make or reactivate the Abomination and much of the weapons be forgotten. She left the simple weapons out. But the dangerous one were locked and sealed away. Only those of the lines are able to even break to the seals. It was her choice of a saftey mechanism."

"I see, I guess that makes sense."
"Forgive me Master, I did as I was told."
"No, no, it's no fault of yours. You did what needed to be done."
"Thank you Master. Now, shall I show you the medic? It will take a good 24 hours for her to be fully activated. And we can begin on Draconis as well."
"Yes, that would be a good idea."
