Sun trotted off and got an apple. She walked back and set it in front of Averti' and nudged it closer to her.

Averti' had the impression that they thought she was going to go through that whole not eating phase again, which she probably would. She smiled and took a bite of the apple. "Thank you Sun."

I promise I'll take care of her. And you can see our children too. One or all may even join your herd. You never know. And it's not like we're going to fall off the ranch. We'll be back to see you all. He wanted Averti' to not be so sad. She was Sun's mother after all. He had a lot to thank her for.

Luck smiled at everyone encouraging Averti. The children had grown up well. He was proud.

She nuzzled Averti'. "You're welcome". Sun nudged Mirage and looked back at her parents. "Now it's our turn to talk", she said and walked down the field with Mirage.

Averti' nodded and then pushed the apple away when Sun went to the field with Mirage.

Mirage followed Sun away, nodding as he excused himself from the parents.

Luck nuzzled Averti and blew in her mane. He watched her push the apple away and sighed mentally to himself, he knew what was coming and wished he could stop it but didn't know how.

Averti' looked up at Luck and smiled, nuzzling him back she asked "Did you really mean the part about us having more babies?"

She stopped and looked at Mirage. "Well we have a dilema. I know you want to learn from your father and I want to be with my parents and you know we can't promise our children will join their herd." Sun sighed. There was so much that could go wrong.

I wasn't promising that they would join. I said they might. But I see what you mean about our problem. He sighed. This was getting complicated.

Averti' smiled and nuzzled Luck again. She laid her head down and pulled the apple towards her. She took a bite out of it and smiled.

Luck almost jumped with joy when he saw Averti eat. Maybe this could be avoided, he had hope.

Sun nodded and nuzzled him. "I have one idea. While I'm still an adolecent you can go learn from Racer while I finish off my childhood with my parents. Then once I grow we can start our own herd."
