Maui nodded. "Either way, we should go check on the future herd grounds." She said as she stood up. "JUst to make sure no one has discovered it."

"Okay. It's almost time to sleep anyway." Roy looked up at the moon. "I'd say it's about 11 o' clock by human time." Roy got up and streched. He started walking back.

Maui followed him. "I can't wait!" She said happily. "Soon we will have our very own herd!"

"And kids" Roy walked out of the forest and into the herd grounds. Just as they left it. Except there was a small amount of smoke and a glowing spot on the ground. "Fire. I'll get some water. Go get Nata or Sci." Roy ran back into the forest to the creek he found the other day.

Maui nodded and galloped to Sci's house, since his was the nearest. She stomped on his porched and neighed. "Come on." She said. "Sci!"

Sci came running out when he heard Maui. "What is it?"
Roy reached the creek and cucked in as much water as he could. He ran back to the herd grounds and spit the water on the fire. But when he did it sounded like rocks cooling. Roy looked at it closer. "Lava?" Roy ran back to the creek it wasn't important now. It is important now to put it out.

Maui pulled on Sci's shirt, trying to lead him to the herd grounds. She laid down, gesturing for him to climb onto her. "Come on!"

Sci almost fell over when she tugged at him but he got her gesture. "Alright." He knew it must be serious. None of the horses here would let people ride them unless they were their owners or it was an emergancy. Sci climbed on.
Roy got back to the herd grounds and spit more water on the lava. He wasn't killing it only slowing it he needed a better way to move the water but he didn't know what. So he ran back and got more water.

Maui stood up, shaking from the weight. She rarely ever carried anything more than a few pounds on her back. She galloped as fast as she good back to the valley, trying not to knock Sci off. She bent down when they reached it, letting Sci down.

Sci jumped off when they got there.
Roy galloped by him and spit the water on the fire.
Sci got the drift and took off his over shirt. He coverd it and made it close to air tight. The ember cooled down and it dimmed. "One more time roy."
Roy ran to the creek got the water and spat it out on Sci's shirt.
Sci lifted it up and picked up the remaining rock. "It's Basalt. The kind you find in volcanos around hawaii."

Maui's eyes widened and backed up. "Hawa...Hawaii?" She looked down at the almost cool rock and swore she could see a few long, grey strands of hair. "R-roy. It's...it's him."

"That's what I thought. It may not be safe here tonight Maui." Roy tugged at Sci's shirt
"What? How the hell did this get here?"
Roy shoved Sci to the ground
Sci landed on his back. "You got my attention what is it?"
Roy pointed tward Sci's house.
"My house. You guys want to stay there tonight?"
Roy nodded

Maui wasn't listening, still backing up. "No, no no. "Not here. Not with you. No!" She looked around, looking for the ghostly grey figure but didn't see him.

"Maui. Calm down. I think this was just his way of letting us know he is watching. We have to go." Roy walked up to her. "Snap out of it Maui."
"Comeon guys we have to go. It's late."

"You don't understand." Maui said, tears streaming down her face again. "You don't know what..what he's done." she backed away from Roy. "No, i have to get away from you. He will come after you. No." she turned around and ran into the valley, running as hard and as fast as she could.
